Don't be silly. They are too busy arresting people for future crimes that have not yet happened. Charlie Veitch was arrested for Pre Crime on April 28, also Chris Knight a professor was arrested for Pre Crime. Then on April 29, anyone in fancy dress was arrested for the Breach of the Peach that may occur in the future. The police are so busy dealing with political protestors right now that they don't have time to deal with real crimes.

I think a mid ground would be looking to at least train all officers in the use of fire arms and randomly arming a small number with weapons each shift. A better Idea would be to give officers hidden weapons in holsters under their stab vests. The weapons isn't visible and wouldn't alarm the public.

Its not the best of ideas to leave them unarmed, they should use their batons, but against a gun.. not much use!

Officers have already been using tasers and the things they have used it from was a clear over reaction. I last heard that the taser was meant to be used like a gun. Only in those situations yet they got used on a man who was sitting on a cycle by a female officer. Her excuse was she felt threatened because she was small and weak.. Then there is Ian Tomlinson who was unlawfully killed by a police officer. Before you deny that one take a look at he Inquest verdict. There are too many names to list here.
