  • soo umm.. anybody wanna put me in a GP2 car this year??

  • van der Garde to F1!

  • Mark Blundell had a helmet cam in Spa in 1994. Its 2011 going on 2012, Bernie, come on!

  • cant they mount the camera on the side of his visor rather than on where the top of his head would be? there eyes are at the same level as the plastic shield and mirrors so this cam is still alot higher than what they actually see, i dont see why they cant since they did it with kubica that was perfect

  • I just read about this in the November issue of F1 Racing Magazine and then found this accidentally lol...

  • this makes me wanna drive in open-wheel, BADLY

  • Coulthard dislikes :P

  • Shame it was under yellow but very cool none the less. I remember when Champ Car had these

  • @NazarethNostalgia

it was during warm-lap and 1st lap of the race

  • Very interesting comparing this to Shift 2 Unleashed's helmet cam. Definitely more gradual and focused here

  • come on bernie...we want more of these!

  • @nickforthetitle Agreed. To Hell with HD onboard cams! We want helmet cams! We want 360° cams! Cmon, Bernie, we know you can do this!

  • @nickforthetitle Nah, that would make too much sense. He'd rather show shots of washed up movie stars walking the grid before the race.

  • This has been used in Champ Car before.

  • This camera could be brilliant for when drivers make a mistake, we will get to here what they say!

  • I remember they had a camera like this for David Coulthard in Brazil 2008, but sadly Nakajima ended his race (and career) on the first corner and we only saw it for like 10 seconds -_-

  • @Burnout900012 I believe it was Rosberg who hit DC that race, but a shame none the less.

  • @Burnout900012 Before that FOM tested it Porsche Supercup support race. I really don't believe this is very expensive thing to do, might be more safety aspect thing and just the fact that you can't see the track very well. The _average viewer_ wants to see the circuit rather than what's going on in the cockpit.

  • Schöne Perspektive, hoffe die FOM Regie nimmt das auch für die Formel 1.am besten schon in Singapur.
