  • Friday evenings at 6PM, we would watch Robin Hood. As kids we played çowboys & Indians'but we also played Robin Hood and his men.

  • is this a u.k. production? i have an idea that i saw this in 1973 on german tv but am not sure.

  • is this from the 1950?

  • @MyLalinea Yes

  • Maid Marion as an air hostess?

  • What a treasure!

  • This is British. That means acting is a serious job. Most have years of stage training.

The new method in the states is to match a personality to the part and surround it with really good actors. Bravo to those that still carry the craft!

  • damn, this is the old version

  • what did you expect, men in bleedin' tights?

  • nothing is boring about robin hood

  • Great acting and everything, but it feels boring and long because of all the really long uncut takes. Uncut is weird in our non-medieval age.

  • The current media uses fast cuts as a technique that prevents you from thinking as ingesting the information given... it's one of the many way in which media controls you... have a look at the films of Peter Watkins to understand the insidiousness of Medai

  • I don't know about the other poster's "Media Control" theory, but I do think that the longer, uncut takes happened because the directors and actors had a lot more talent than anybody doing it today. To quote Sean Connery, "Idiots have cornered the market" in the entertainment industry.
