Awesome video Fiona, I couldn't agree more! My two are a similar age to yours and love to have the opportunity to climb trees and build dens. I'm immensely proud that we're bringing them up to love the outdoors. I always think it's funny that whenever we visit our local NT property which boasts having the largest adventure playground in the country - they'd much rather spend the time climbing the trees and exploring around the lakeside. Keep up the great work Woodland Trust :-)

Very good. Tired children are essential! We often take ours to the woods and it's amazing how many different things they find to do. It's also great for them to see their parents being "big kids" -- laughing at dad not being able to climb a tree they seem to almost run up!

Not having children myself I hadn't considered how valuable it is to parents to have happily exhausted kids! The kids are tired because they've had fun out in the open air and been able to run about and play, which measn there's room for a much-needed bit of 'me-time' for Fiona, and then she's a happier and more relaxed Mum because of it - genuis. I'm surprised not all parents are out there helping their kids plant more woods!
