the repeated note sections are much slowed when compared to the acoustic recording.

not bad sounding for a roll. Out of most of the people that I have heard, Hofmann's rolls sound the most convincing. I think a lot has to do with accuracy of technique... the same goes for Rachmaninoff and Godowsky rolls.
