Training wheels on a dirt bike might not be a bad idea. Dalton never had training wheels on his dirt bike. He started with the peddle bike and move to a dirt bike. Days after turning three he asked to ride a dirt bike. We told him that he had to get his training wheels off his peddle bike first. With in a few weeks he had enough balance to ride without them. It was all over after that.

If you have training wheel on her bike now, try raising them up a bit so she can "feel" the balance point. We really like the Specialized Hot Rock 12" for a beginner bike. It has a nice profile for a small rider. You get what you pay for (we tried them all:) We also believe in peddles on a bike, if you know what I mean. Without peddles the rider can developed bad habits (for example: dragging feet).
