  • Nice!

  • Wow. The hubcaps make it look like the wheels aren't moving in the first shot from the FPS.

  • They're not hubcaps lol.

  • "The design of the wheel." Better?

  • the hand waves at you!

  • It better, it was built on the volovo s80 platform.

  • that car did very well

  • the hand waves at you, lol

  • the hand does wave

  • LOL, agreed!

  • For those of you that have actually experienced the same accidents in the "better" cars out there and truly felt safer, I'm sure you know what you're talking about. And for the 70% of the population who just likes to be negative, well I am truly sorry you're so stupid. Ford owns both Volvo and Mazda with no plans to sell either brand thank God. And as for the "volvo technology", if you're referring to the dual stage airbags, ford has employed that technology since the very safe 2000 Taurus.

  • all these ford acronyms dont make any sense

  • the side mirror. lol

  • los retrovisores no importan im becil!!! cuanod has visto que vendan un auto con cinco estrellas en choques para los retrovisores, hay videos de bmw que los botan tambien, que estupido comentario haces imbecil!!

  • hey, thats how my montego looked!!!

  • on a serious note, it is best to buy a car with good rating, but it never assure safety. Driving habits have the same important in terms of safety. Drive safely everyone and lets pray we don't get into a major crash.

  • First On Road Dead

  • Ford/Fix Or Repair Daily

  • haha that not funny at all

  • Found on Road Driving = Ford

  • Hehe, you wish.

  • what...lol

  • That airbag seems a tad small... But for Ford, that's good.

  • New airbags have different stages depending on the crash speed. For a lowers speed, the airbag won't inflate as much so it doesn't hurt the driver.

  • That's so funny. The hand does wave @ u

  • Lol, the hand is waving at you. XD

  • I have a 1998 Ford Windstar and a 1995 Ford F-350. I used to have a a 1998 Ford Contour but it was rear ended and the damage was just too much to justify repair. Ford is a good company with good safety compared to many other car companies. But please do not comment that Ford vehicles are safer than those of BMW or Volvo. Volvo may be owned by Ford, but I assure you BMW and Volvo are MUCH safer.

  • becasue it is not a POS. In fact it is far from a POS... it is a beautiful Volvo s80 that looks like shit. Ford could not think on their own, therefore, they stole Volvo's ideas and frames, etc. I hope BMW buys Volvo and saves them from being raped by such a piss company.

  • this is a damn safe car if you ask me.

  • its safe b/c it is a car not a ford. it is all Volvo.

  • The damage done to the car is what people view to be the safety of the car. But force (mass x acceleration) is what kills you. The ability to absorb kinetic energy means that force is less and acceleration is more relevent than the amount of damage done to the vehicle, so a car that gets more damage will also be a safer car.

  • at th end it looked like the dummy was waving "goodbye"

  • carcmrossi you say to survive a crash you should buy something like a BMW, Merc or a Volvo. You need to do some research. The Ford Five-Hundred (which is soon to be restyled and upgraded as the new Taurus) IS built on a Volvo S80 chassis. No the Japanese is not 10x better then this Volvo based Ford.

  • I agree with you on this one too Yamajammer, Ford is one of the Few Company's that had 5 Star saftey ratings going back to the 90's compairing them to their Japanese counter parts. (ie. the 1996 Ford Windstar was one of the First)

  • I agree 255%!!!!

  • You wanna survive a crash, buy BMW, Merc, Or Volvo, something like this. Even Japanese is 10x better than Ford. Although this crash test was more impressive than any other Ford I've ever seen.

  • Hey, i've had 6 fords, and they've all been excellent!!

  • how about not crashing them thats a surefire way to survive? why make the damn thing safer we should be discourging crashes pffft fanboys

  • Well, you can't fully prevent accident, that's why these crash tests are conducted.

  • thats good for a ford

  • I see ford is using Volvo technology.. real nice

  • /Actually, Volvo is part of Ford Motor Company.
