My technique is slightly longer but looks much better (don't want to brag).

For every time you fire the gun, take 3 frames. Before firing, firing and after firing. In gimp, add a muzzle flash with to the first frame (change the colour as necessary), second frame is the short beam at the mouth of the gun, and a 50% opacity muzzle flash, and the third frame is a blurry beam halfway across the screen. add to film and you have a laser beam effect.

You need to upgrade the laser package, you have green, blue, yellow and red lasers, but only green muzzle :(

Its not working for me, Gimp 2.6.11 is what I downloaded- but when I tried to open up softonics or gimps downloader, It said the file location then "This Action cannot be perrformed, the file requires Elevation" or something like that. What does it mean?

ROFL the moment I saw that tin foil gun I instantly recognized it as the nerf dart gun I used to play with when I was littler.

TIP: Just get a BB gun and paint it, WAY better looking than a tin-foiled dart gun.
