well Team Fortress 2 is set in the late 1940's or 1950's. the basic story is that there are two secret organizations (R.E.D Reliable Excavation and Demolition & B.L.U Builders League United) who covertly control all governments and corporations in the world. the nine classes are mercenaries, hired by each side to fight in the R.E.D. and B.L.U. private war against each other. now the story is basically nonexistent if you have read up on it, but there it is. i think its pretty cool myself

Crysis looks superb and i can play it really good on my system. BUT, the WOW effect about the graphics doesn't last too long. The first hour and a bit more you're stunned by it. But then you'll just go on and play. Not really noticing all detail. The God of War series for PS2 on the other hand. Omg, such artwork. It's not about the technical details, but artwork. In my oppionion: Stunning artwork can beat technically good graphics and impress you more. Even if it's linear and with fake effects.

The 900euro pc is ok though, because most people have a pc anyway, so instead of buying an even cheaper one, you can spend a little bit more and you get a decent pc. But like i said, many people don't care for even more detail. If i would show my friens gears on pc and xbox, they'll never notice any difference. Technical details are irrelevant for most. That's why the wii sells so good. After all it's about gameplay.

So i say, that the argument, that pc gaming is too expensive, is invalid. Many console only gamers bring that argument. If you buy two cards over a 2-3 years span i think that's quite ok. Also pc games cost much less then console games. That's what i like alot. But i still love my consoles too. Playing from the sofa with my hdtv and dolby digital sound system is really sth. great^^

yeah, but i just recently bought the new 8800gts. To be honest, i can understand why many people stay away from pc gaming. Because, if you only look at all the new cards that come out, people aren't willing to pay more then 600 bucks for the best card, just to be able to play a game like crysis. I always prefer the cards with good price/performance ratio. Like the 8800gt/gts. Affordable price and really good performance. And in two years i'll buy the next card^^

well the sniper has a sub machine gun as a secondary weapon, the engineer has turrets equipped with machine guns, the medic has a sub machine gun shooting syringes (it's really powerful but the bullets are slow and gravity attracts them to the ground lol), but the only machine gun is the gatling (it's quite fun to use, especially in close range with a medic on your back healing you)

but don't worry, there might be a lack of machine guns, but that's what makes the charm of the game

Well on the subject that my game would hardly run on an nvidea gefore 6150 se, is a lie.

If i set the launch option to run the game on directx level 8.1, i can run the game at full resolution, with most setting set to high (ie model detail)

@ THE BRAIN:

yeah, you can run it.

If the game lags, go to steam support under health, and search for "launch options", and find the option that allows you to force the game into running in direct x 8.1.

It'll run like a charm, no lag.
