@Bldbrrg With their new codex, oh they are amazing.

They have this leaf blower list that just decimates most, if not all, other armies through superior fire power.

You just throw so much at them in the first turn, that the enemy can't do enough to you for the rest of the game to really do you any hurt.

That's saying you have the first turn of shooting. But you get my point.

The Eldar should not have mostly citizen-soldier guardians. The Eldar should be like the Space Marines, because over time you woulda thought they would have had better equipment, and when threatened with extinction, they would have been a few elite troops, like Space Marines!

You can use the Imperial guard well but you need o be something of a tactical (and lucky!) genius. The space marines are the better half of the fighting force of the Imperium.

Did he use a Lascannon-Sentinel on 350 points against Eldar??? WTF? I´d never do that, the Autocannon is superior against almost anything the Eldar have.

And yeha, the Guard army was way to small. At 350 points, I´d pretty much cram in as many Infantry squads with special and heavy weapons as I could. That be 30-40 guardsmen.

And on a battlefield with that much civer, that´s pretty much game over for the presented Eldar force.

Depends wether you have to take the normal platoon rules. IE, taking a junior officer.

Now, you could take the whole platoon, 55 modells, but then you´d have just 10 points for getting weapon upgrades.

The 30... well that was some magnificent bastard I know. Against Eldar at that point value and with semi-open terrain, he took 3 full squads of Stormtroopers. Was hilarious to see a match between Eldar and IG were the Eldar (similar ones to the army in this vid) took more losses than the Guard.

Glued the cities of death parts onto heavy cardboard- white glue on the cardboard to hold down sand and mixed in bits of rock for rubble. Spray painted everything black, drybrush the ruins bolt gun silver and painted the sand dark green with grey highlights. Painting was super easy.

first try to build up your main force like your guardians and warriors also include your heavy infantry and your fast attack infantry, then work on your leaders (Heroes if you want to call them that) and then your vehicles, im working on my Imperial Guard right now, also go to games workshops website, they have all the units and they will help you alot on how to build it up

It was pictures from a game we played so not really good for stop motion.

My jetbikes are the regular eldar jetbike models, only I use the guardians on foot for the riders as the guardians that come with the jetbikes have the vest looking torsos and not the regular guardian ones. My farseer (autarch) on a jetbikes is made out of dark eldar and warhammer fantasy bits.
