  • Anyone else notice the CoolerMaster Centurion 590 style HDD cages? They look EXACTLY the same, only powder coated black! Kudos, Xigmatek!

  • I'm so happy i found out about TTL. Detailed and awesome reviews.

  • The space is for XL-ATX mother boards like the G1 Assassin :3

  • Haf x or cosmos 2

  • @thereddog223 HAF X only adds more fans, and fan ports, Cosmos looks ugly; but that's only my opinion.

  • Both are nice cases functionally though

  • @thereddog223 True True. I have always been a Coolmaster fan myself.

  • Good review my friend!! The only small niggle i would pick fault with is the cables i'd like to see black sleeving on the cables apart from that it ticks all of the right boxes :-)

    AG..

  • you should hurry up and review the NZXT Switch 810

  • y are ur vids so long

  • How did you mod the Rampage III to be blue?

  • @blade00362 with 'epic'

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

do you reckon you'll be doing a review on the z11? i think its out for the uk now, saw it on quietpc

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Interesting.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Have you done Sound Card Reviews? :O If not you must! :D

  • I just got one, it came with a rubber grommet in the 2nd cpu cutout and a side window. bottom floor mount wasn't fixed though. and @ IsaacDeanMusic my old case DID actually fit inside this case (once the front panel was removed off the old one :)

  • Hi, i was checking this case out thinking about buying it, i now got a haf932 Bigtower But with my Evga classified x58 4way sli (XL-ATX) i got no room for the Psu. in the bottom and the 360 radiator covers the roof so no place for psu there. In this case would i be able to mount my XL-ATX motherboard and still be able to mount the psu at the bottom? :)

  • Hey can anyone who has this advise how many actual 5.25 bays there are? More specifically how many 'Icy Dock MB973SP-B' would it fit in? I believe 12 bays and therefore 6 of these? can someone with this case advise?

  • For those interested, they did fix the tray issues, they didn't adjust the base tray. I'm going to drill holes

  • Comment removed

  • Lol i didnt want to turn off my music, but i wanted to watch this video. So no im listening to black metal and watching a review of thos case.

  • Thank U so much for this review... it made me buy this fantastic case. It is realy good. The only changes I made was widen up the psu area on the back of the case at the top (to the two gromits) and make space for two 92mm fans in the back of the case

  • Therapy lol , we all need girlfriends xx , but the older you get the bigger the case you need lol

  • you could fit a 240 rad in the botom it you drilled your own holes and used duble sided tape with fans on top

  • You just sold me this case, nice review, very detailed.

  • 4:45 that is the best comparisson in the world!

  • I'm awaiting mine now, as a non-watercooler who just wants lots of space, I hope I enjoy it

  • Did Xigmatek implement these changes into new stock? I'm loving this case so I want to know if they fixed those things you mentioned.

  • Comment removed

  • i like how he says "gromets" :)

  • way to on the review!

  • Hi there, great review but I'm not sure I really like this case. I was wondering what other full E-Atx cases you would recommend. I have the HAF X, Antec DF-85, and In Win Dragon Rider in my watch list. I am not planning water cooling immediately, but may get around to it before the summer. There are bits from these cases that I like, but all of them don't have the right combination if you see what I mean.

It needs to be big, plenty of cooling options, cable tidy, and a bit mad!

    Brian :)

  • @britrb32 HAF-X is the best one fella

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms That'll be the new home for the new build then!!

    Thanks mate,

    Brian :)

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms HAF-X is outdated and btw is mid size we are talking about huge rooming here and for very big towers 230 x 618 x 663mm (W x D x H)

  • @AnDRoidD3V HAF X is a full-tower. The HAF 922 is mid-size.

  • @phoenix7289 Yes in the papers only.... but in the reality if you look closer to HAF-X you will see it's not as big as you thought CM have Baptized it as Full size and that's sucks

  • @AnDRoidD3V For the record.... the Xigmatek Elysium is considered a "super tower" which is bigger than Full-tower. ;) It's not all black and white dude, there's mini-towers, mid-towers, full-towers, super-towers, and they all do different things the best and are aimed for different people.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Shame one you!! :L 932/942 are still king :D

  • @britrb32 Personally go with the Storm Trooper, everything the HAF X is and has better filtering, better internal layout and better water cooling options

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Could you by any chance please take a look at the "Aerocool Strike X ST" case please?

  • As of 12/4/2011 there has been no changes made to the Xigmatek Elysium. There is only the v1.0. One comes with a side window, the other does not.

  • thumbs up for me!:3

  • It's a shame those cables aren't pre-sleeved.

  • I find the Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra a much better substitute than this.

  • you can run a dual PSU in this so having just a single large power supply covering the bottom mod for a rad wont be problem because you can run two 850w psu's in the bottom and top and have no clearance problems for the rad's

  • HaF X 942 still the champion :)

  • I think I've found a new home for my rig which is currently suffering inside a badly mended CM Storm Scout. I was initially considering the CM Storm Trooper but this one sold me due to its room; I only have an ATX mobo but the real estate inside means airflow is not going to be an issue. The only thing I don't like with it is it does appear that the side fan is firmly fixed onto the panel by rivets which means if that fan goes, no way to replace it unless you mod it.

  • Would you recommend this case or a pc-v8? Btw if possible, it'd be amazing if you could do a pc-v8 review;)

  • Nm just read below. Doh!

  • Hey Tom, any news on the possible relocation of the bottom rad grill? I plan on watercooling the Bajesus out of this beast. Thanks!

  • So have all the changes been implemented? Also do you know if something like this will fit in it? i need hot swappable?

    goo.gl SLASH JjC3i

  • @jonathh14 i.e. LN13275 it won't let me post a url.

  • @jonathh14 Ive not seen anything of any changes being released yet.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms That's a shame as now I know these changes might be implemented I want to wait for the 2.0 version.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

Just got the window version yesterday they have put a grommet in the second CPU hole

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Just received mine today. I've got the silver one with side window. They still havent changed the base for the rad, but they have supplied a massive black grommit to cover the CPU access hole on the motherboard tray. Get in touch if you want my grommet (will post to you for free), as I'm using an EVGA SR-2 :)

  • So have all the changes been implemented? Also do you know if something like this will fit in it? i need hot swappable?

  • I talked to someone whos got a contact at xigmatek and the full windowed version wont come out untill the start of next year..

  • Comment removed

  • @OutlawLovesNewVegas lol, is that what you call a full vindowed version? If you watched the video you would know that tom even mentions this version , no im talking about a sidepanel without the fan,

  • Love that case, good thing It has room for two psus(AX1200+ST1500), My next build will need 2, just to power 6 water cooled GTX295 cards for Seti@Home a Boinc project.

  • Does the right side panel fit on the left?

  • I am right now in the middle of building a new beast, and I am using this monster case, It seems tom that xigmatek have listened to you, as they have fitted the window, there is now a rubber grommet right next to were the ATX board fits now, and they have from what I can see installed more holes on the bottom front case. They have not done the seperate CPU hole cover tho.

  • @gman8213 And where did you buy that case? cause every web shop i visit they have the older versions..

  • any news on those adapters for fitting a radiator to the drive bays

  • For air cooling would the Haf x beat this?

  • Does anyone know if the side fan will get in the way of ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm CPU Cooler?

  • there is a version of this case with a window and they have them with a window and the sides of the front bezzle is brushed aluinum. im not gonna say where cuz i want to get one and they only have 4 left :( sorry

  • Thanks man, amazing and very *nal review from you as always where u take a look at the case from every angle and tell us everything about it. Lookin for a case for my watercooling myself the choice is between this and Corsair 800D wich is double the price of this one. So i dont think i can justify going for the corsair at this point in time.

Anyways great review as always keep it up man =)

  • should i get this or the haf x

  • @crimson177 I would buuy the HAF if you only need one radiator

  • Really enjoyed the review, but as stated a few weeks ago isn't there a new model out? Can't find anything about it though, no good pictures or anything so I can't tell if they've done the changes you suggested other than the window which you can see on their homepage.

Would love if you could atleast comment on the supposed new version. Is it more atx friendly, did they cover up the hole and did they fix the bottom inside it? Currently deciding on my rig, so quick replies are very appreciated.

  • Am I right in thinking this case since you review now has a new version with a window and a few other items u pointed out have now been changed?

  • @Emexrulsier no its not been released yet :(

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Hmm unless then it is a different model Looks identical to me same name sold on Scan and Aria and in stock if you also goto Xigmatek homepage you can see it on their

  • @Emexrulsier its out now :-) i got mine on friday! the thing is enormous i put it next to my cm690 and it nearly fits inside :-)

  • ps it comes in 4 different versions with and without windows and black and with silver stripe on the front

  • Nice review, think ill buy one soon. slap 3x140mm rad in there with 3x120

  • there is a version out with a side panel

  • My case would fit inside that case!

  • @IsaacDeanMusic

    My case too...

  • Can a 6990 fit?

  • @charles6835 lol yes

  • @charles6835 did u see the same video as me cause from what u can see u could fit on end to end in this case.

  • When is the new updated TTL version coming out then? Looks an excellent case, deffo my new one in a few months time

  • This or a HAF X for an MSI Big Bang Marshal?

  • @AwesomeGamingReviews uh what does motherboard have to do with the case you're choosing? the HAF series are shit cases.

  • @LordJummy No the HAF X is a beast and the mobo is XL-ATX so i need a case that supports it. I got the HAF X and its amazing!

  • @AwesomeGamingReviews the HAF X is big, but that's all it has going for it. I've owned it and sold it myself. it is not exceptional in anyway, and it's downright hideous looking. 13 year old boys might think it looks cool since it's supposed to look like an ammo can or some nonsense, but if you're past puberty it's a bit immature.

  • @LordJummy I like the styling and its a perfect case for me! The stylng is rugged and it suits what i like and the styling of the games i play!

  • Your review led me to buy this case and I'm happy to report that it was a delight to work with. It's quietly humming along on a table at ear level within arms reach and the slight fan noise is only noticeable if I carefully listen. The case does have tons of room. The square cutout "disappears" with the back cover in place and, to my eyes, the only downside of the window is how tiny my computer looks.

Thanks for bringing this product to my attention!

  • I would love to mod the hell out of this!! with watercooling also in it of course

  • Damn it i want one, too bad i already have a 800d

  • Just been talking to Xigmatek the rad brackets are finished aprox 4 weeks until start shipping

  • I am fairly sure the bottom radiator mouting holes are designed for use if you install the PSU in the top of the case as it is designed for top and bottom mount PSU. Also do the 3.5" mounting cages not just pull out tat the top for easy HDD installation? and will it handle a 420mm and a 560mm rad all within the case? Love the vids btw

  • @sniper2o2o You miss the point. With a few minor changes it could do both, Xigmatek did admit it was a design flaw and are going to impement changes for ALL of the points I raised.

  • but the front fans are white led's, arent they?!

  • Oh my god. XD

  • I didnt quite get that, it was close to the gold award? so so close

  • damn i love your reviews you always find the right to say and tells the truth and wat you think

    PERFECT!!

    im maybe getting this case^^

  • Love your reviews sir, you're so blunt! I wish I could buy this without window as you have here. No such luck yet!

  • Have you seen the updated version of this?

  • for the problem with the bottom fan mounts, i would just use the 360/420 rad in the roof and then add a quad/triple rad in the front and that is more than enough i would have thought....

  • @MegaJ0sh Not if your running an SR2 with Quad SLI or Quad Fire and motherboard blocks. Even if its just an EATX and Quad Sli you may need the Last rad in there.

  • One comment. Did you repeat yourself or did you somehow get like a 12 minute repeat at the end?

  • VERY good and detailed review on this great case. Thank you for all you thoughts and opinions!

  • Hi, can You measure top of the case to check if 2x BitFenix Spectre 230mm fit in there? They got in description that they compatible with xigmatek 200mm fan mounts but I'm not sure total length of 460mm that they occupy. Thx.

  • @oldsmobil1983 I doubt he still has this case.

  • 8:44 ? msn?

  • @ItchyTrojan outlook ;)

  • Could you please make a video who you made blue version of rampage 3?

  • @SilatGayongTiger he had a friend of his who is really good at soldering stuff to do it, TTL got a load of blue sockets off of other boards and had them fitted them on instead of the red ones

  • @MegaJ0sh nice, wish someone could do that to my evga classified....

  • Comment removed

  • @HumbledGod yeah because no way is the right way :)

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms well u have to think they give u an open area at the bottom with a dust filter u probably want to put the psu fan down so it can take cooler air than the air in ur case just saying

  • @HumbledGod there is no right way

  • Pardon my "noobishness" but to mount a lower radiator more towards to front of the case is it only necessary to drill and tap a few holes or is it more complicated than that? I know the point is the manufacture came close to getting it right and should have realized their mistake. I'm just curious what would be required after buying the existing design.

  • @Cherrybark If/once you have the chassis just look at it and it will all make sense. You may be happy with a quick fix. I however would have to do a lot of work before I would be happy.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cherrybark Well you could drill and tap the mounting holes like you say but then part of the rad would be blocked by the floor unless you want to drill the floor out to give it a mesh effect too.

You could always get out your dremel or jig saw and cut an opening for the rad in the floor of the case, then fit some mesh etc. The point is that just for a slight oversight in design it would have been all done for you.

  • @TaintedShirt Thanks for going to the trouble to explain the difficulty. This is such a great case for the price and I have one on the way from Newegg. It will be interesting to see if Xigmatek makes the few recommended changes from this review.

  • @Cherrybark np man, hope the case is all you want it to be. I really do hope they took on board the suggestions here as the case would be nigh on perfect. Post back and let us know what you think of the case after you have received it.

  • I love it when cases are Huge (whoyowooge)

  • fantastic review mate, as allways.

    honestly, i couldn't agree more...

  • When is the case coming to the us and newegg

  • "Smoother than your girlfriend at a heightened state of excitement." BEST LINE EVER!! You sir are the man.

  • I'm thinking this or the CM ATCS 840... hmm. Aircooling by the way...

  • The most 'future proof' case i've ever seen and looks like it's mod friendly, (umm side window anyone???)

  • The most 'future proof' case i've ever seen and looks like it's mod friendly, (umm side window anyone???)

  • wow did they just copy/paste all corsair case features on their own case?

  • @mopheid lol no mate rofl. This is better than the 700 and 800D by miles!

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

How much does this bloody case cost ? :)

  • @mopheid No way, this case is way beyond the hotboxes that are the 700 and 800D cases.

  • What about 2.5 inch ssd's....

  • "Im going to spin the case around". I thought u ment the case, not u! lol. Love your reviews, get each detail

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms give it a new award just for it called silver with gold flakes because it is better then silver but cant give it gold lol

  • Really extensive review! Out of curiosity, is there a filter for the side intake fan? Otherwise, it looks like the HAF-X may have some competition.

  • literally......!

  • Hey Tom. Thanks for the awesome review. Q: The Xigmatek website also says you can mount a single 200mm fan on the bottom instead of 2x120mm. How much clearance is there between the 200mm mounting holes and the back of the case? Since 1x200mm = 2x140mm in terms of surface area, that might be more worthwhile than 2x120mm anyway, and it might actually fit even with an AX1200, depending on where the 200mm mounting holes are. Thanks.

  • @vorpalneko it wont fit with an ax1200 matey

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms Not even a single 200mm rad will fit... that sucks. Ah well, they're scarcer than gold nowadays anyway 'cept for Antec's weirdo form-factor. Thanks.

  • So when does this thing launch?

  • @Geoxile A german store says 06.06.2011

  • Wow 41 minutes long! I'll grab a drink before watching I guess. Lets find out if this Elysium case is any good, my new build needs a home.

  • ok no window panel but this case is so cheap that you most prob wouldnt mind modding it

  • Well I thought this case was going to be good, well guess they screwed up on the bottom wc, which is what I was hoping for. To bad this case wil not be a good one, plus that side panel is terrible.

  • Just have to use that unique blue RoG board - DAMN YOU!

  • i hope the make more great enthusiast cases like this but also smaller large towers and mid towers

  • side panel is begging for some smoke grey cast acrylic

  • Tom! You have to get a SR2!

  • The UD9 was also XL-ATX.

  • Paused the Video at 1:10 to load 720p...Zombie Mode? :P

  • "The Panel is probably alot smoother sliding than your girlfriend at a very heightened state of excitement"

    HA! Brilliant!

  • ############### OOOHH SLIDY

  • you totally gotta get a fisheye lens for inside the case views :D

  • I watch these reviews with a six pack... :D

  • I wanna buy this but i cant find it anywhere in the us

  • I love you review on the Xigmatek Elysium. your like the only person who is down to earth when review a computer case than others.

  • why does NO case ever do black cables? I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE the stupid idiotic red and yellow cables that come with fans and front ports. Only Corsair does it. However, I would only by a corsair case anyway...

  • @gumberly fractal do

  • @utubeb14 oh really. anyway my point remains.

2 out of countless other companies do all black. I understand it is a lot more expensive to do, but isn' it worth it?

  • lol, i love having new ttl videos, having said that when he said buffer 1080, i got cheetos and coke =D

  • I don't know if you pay for the parts you review, but you can get an SR-2 from Ebay, Amazon, Buy.com or Fry's.

  • Man, Im building a custom rig for myself, in which the cpu/NB-SB-Mos/2GPU's are bein water cooled. The parts are what Im currently using, but the case and water cooling parts are new. Really takin my time with this, making it look really fresh and clean, full PSU single sleeving, elegant lighting.. The works. I naturally choose the 800D for this build, and honestly, to me, there was no other case even considered for sucha build. But now that I see this, I want this instead.

  • Any idea where i can find the Rubber cabe management cut outs im doing some modding but i cant find the circIe gromits or the other ones around the mobo

  • @JerseyXX1122 Craft store(s) should have what you want. You might have to get a little creative and make your own using some rubber and an Xacto knife, but I have seen the type of grommets used in cases in a store before.(well, similar to the ones used in cases, not IDENTICAL)

  • why do people keep moaning about Toms video being to long? We are talking alot of money when it comes to computers. Not sure I want to watch a 5 minute video for something costing alot of money,I want to know everything about the product. Keep the good work up Tom.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms are you planing to review the lianli 11pci slot case the one for the sr-2 ?? and if you have can you post the link :) oh and nice videos i hate the guys that say that they are too long ...
