  • After Neil Young left the California folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield in 1968, he slowly established himself as one of the most influential and idiosyncratic singer/songwriters of his generation. Young's body of work ranks second only to Bob Dylan in terms of depth, and he was able to sustain his critical reputation, as well as record sales, for a longer period of time than Dylan, partially because of his willfully perverse work ethic.

  • There is rust and there is rust.

  • Hey you fucking fags who run this channel! Neil Young is Canadian, why the fuck would you block his videos to Canadians?

  • Neil Young used to be like an idol to me, then he released his blu-ray box sets. What a sell out move, still selfish ol' neil. His Toronto show was killer, seen him months later in London and show was borderline shit.

  • i also saw him in toronto and this was one of the best songs he played, spirit road in yo mind

  • how stupid of you to say hes a sell out ??? and hes getting old id like to see you give a show like he still do at his age .... hes over 60.. at least he still remember his own lyrics .... just think of ozzy

  • @Rainrixx neil has never sold out , he, s a purist to the highest degree , I know , Ive been listening since the begining , . . . his music is proof of his honor to our mother earth ,

  • Finally a good vid/version of this Neil Young: Spirit Road song .... Thanks for the upload

    Neil Young ROCKS!!!! //•¿~\\

  • Was at the concert last night in Toronto. WHAT A SHOW!!!! I've seen Neil many times over the years and one does not know Neil until they hear him live. There is something about Neil live where he feeds off the audience which results in an energy that can not be captured in the studio. While some complain about Neil's vocal abilities, again, when live you hear the true ability that this guy has at singing and playing his axe. Go Neil!

  • i heard neil play this in Toronto the other night and i had to find this song it was amazing neil live is fucking incredible!

  • sounds like a dylan song. then again some of dylans songs sound like neil. give thanks

  • I AGREE. NEILISTIC

  • I stand corrected. It was actually 30th of June.

  • Your sponsoring canada, the same way Rush is, Keep on Rockin In the Free World!

  • I don't think anyone has moved me to become an activist any more than you Neil. Your my favorite singer, musician, song writer, but I havn't ever seen you in concert. I know it's a sin but I just can't afford it. I live in a small central Texas town and my car is on it's last leg. Hell my life story would make a sad song but you get what you got. Maybe one of these days I'll get lucky. Peace my friend.

  • heh sometimes you have to do things you normally wouldnt to see neil young. im 16 and my friend is 17 and we scraped together $700 to drive down to LA which is 10 hours away to see him for 1 night and then drive back the next day. but jesus christ was it worth it.

  • That was about the age I say most of the concerts I've been too. Have fun now before you have a family to support. And Carvinn, Rush is another of my fvorites. Peace.

  • your still talkin to my spirit after 40 years rock on

  • i bet neil would swap a rusty caddy for my bros old train set:)))

  • thank god for neil young...may you outlive your enemies neil, god bless ya!

  • Chrome Dreams II is an excellent eclectic electric blend of all Mr Neil does so, so well. There are tracks with a Crazy Horse smell, with the "...and friends" feel and some doowop for good measure. If you don't like this offering then you're waiting for another train.Don't stop now, Young, yer just building up speed.

  • Chrome Dreams II is the album I stopped waiting for. And this song sounds like it comes straight from Ragged Glory.

60 yo and still kickin' *sses like very few can...

  • there's a long highway in your mind...

everyone seems to turn on you

there's nothin right you can do

  • NEIL YOUNG FOR HAIR CLUB FOR MEN pt. 1

"See The Hair About To Fall "

See the hair about to fall,

    broken roots and frayed ends.

    Stylist, pull the roots,

    blower blowing

    through my brain.

  • RIGHT ON...MORE BARN!!!!!!!!

  • All I have to say to volumeuploud is, Whatever man. He happens to be a local in the town I live in. Besides the point, haow can you tell someone how they feel music. Thank you. I needed a good laugh. Much love to you my friend.

  • neil young is the greatest ever. the only thing is that no one can feel his music the same way a canadian can, we relate to him better than americans do. and thats just a simple fact.

  • This is the Neil I like the most: that Old Black surely keeps on rockin'...

  • AND LEAVE IT ON!

  • feeling so neiel, feeling so neil....

WHAT...scrub your face...rinse it all away...

  • Neil ROCKS

  • Neil ROCKS us over 50's....the hell with the rest of you!

  • have faith, it ain't just you "over 50s" folks. its anybody still lookin for somethin good to believe in. and theres not much in this fucked up world, but i can count on neil EVERY TIME!

  • left on!

  • you of all people should KNOW yer only as neil young as you feel..........:)

  • I am 25 and an absolute Neil Young freak. I own every album. So to hell with you.

  • The album isn't much good. Again.

  • 106 Neil shows, 4 more in December

    It's all one tour

  • I'm a huge Neil Young fan, and this song is fine. But I must admit, that I don't really think he has such a great voice anymore - which is quite understandable considering that he's not young anymore. But he still plays a killer guitar.

  • Neil just keeps on going...

  • Thanks Neil, it's art man and I get it!

  • there's a river

  • great song!

  • Old Neil is back ! come back in paris for a

    f#ing concert like in 2001

  • Alright !......home brewed, non -commercial art vid...dug it.

  • Neil rocks!

  • argue about spirit

  • Photographers Anthony Crawford, Larry Cragg and Will Mitchell.

  • because he has a rusty car collection collecting dust in some paddock on his ranch property.

  • Neil's still the best thing out there. He's like a river just keeps on rollin.

  • I love this song...LOVE

  • Unlikely; these are all photos from Neil's ranch in the South Bay of California. Reminds me of the photo montage style used on LWW:In The Beginning / Live At The Fillmore and parts of Live At Massey Hall DVD's.

  • How do you know that is where they are taken?

  • great stuff !!

    we love him...

  • (1)

I saw Neil play Winterland, on a Thursday night (a school night- we weren't supposed to go) so long ago, just about the time that Harvest was released.

I'd never heard anything that real, and that emotional, and that true- ever, anywhere, to that point in my life.

  • March 22, 1973

I have it on cd somewhere

  • (2)

That's a long time ago now, but it is still true- for that music, that night, way back then, and for this music, now, right here on this very track.

He's the real deal, in a world where the real deal is hard to find, and even harder to hold onto.

Thanks, man; for all of it.

  • i love it! im gonna just have to buy that album, but neil! dont let those cars rust!! fix em! (or just give em to me)

  • Lookin' forward to cranking this one up on the 18th. Great stuff Neil

  • Brilliant as usual, Mr Young!

  • THE BEST EVER.

  • Ragged Glory style, more brilliance from Neil!!!

  • Wow ! The old man still has it !
