  • I agree with y'all that there is too much chat and not enough playing. I don't (won't) make the same mistake any more :)

  • Skip to roughly 4:15 for the beginning of the demo.

  • OMFGIF*CKINGLOVEIT!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds bad !!! i'll bet you've dumped this pedal by now right? . . . now what about the Nova Drive? . . . you have a vid on that one?

  • GREAT REVIEW !!!!!

  • Excellent demo as always ... very detailed and to the point! Thanks again!

  • Let the pedal do the talking!

  • yup way too much talking

  • yes i agree :)

  • too much talking

  • Hey justin! How are you?

I have a kind of "request":

Could you do a video giving us tips for play guitar and sing at the same time?

Sometimes I play songs like one that i learnt with you (run by snow patrol) and i try to sing but i get confused

  • just keep practicing... singing and playing comes after you've trained your brain to forget about your fingers/hands and what they're doing

  • Thakns :)

  • what i do is i play the song and watch tv and actually pay attention...

then play while i talk with my friends...

    then i try to sing.

    IT WORKS! hahah

  • It's not a bad idea! :)

    Thank you!

  • هههههههههههههههه

  • Hey Justin. Can u please post a tutorial on , How to Use Overdrive effects, Compression effects, and distortion effects in electic guitar ? I am confused a lot of all these effects . Please post a tutorial on this which will be helpful for beginners in electric guitar. Thank u in advance.

  • am from london n i was just wondering where i coulf possibly get ur dvd around here???

p.s and i just would like to say thank you, your lessons have been really really helpful for me

    cheers,

  • Hey Justin, nice vid.

A video reviewing the Tc electronics G force, g major or g minor would be cool.

    Cheers from Sweden !

  • That's really helpful =D

  • how much would it cost?

  • In the region of £150-200.

  • (garpizza) somewhere around $300, put your name there i dont really trust the reply system...

  • nice, u rock

  • hi ..... i am new and beginner in guitar. One doubt please. Why are pedals used separately ? Cant we get the same effect from ME 50 processors ? Why people buy pedals separately when we get the same effects from ME 50 processers ? am very much confused about all these guitar theory. Please help me and clearly explain me why we use pedals separately , ME 50 processors, amps etc. Still not clear about all these. thank you in advance.

  • individual pedals have more options and better sound. high end multieffects sound almost as good, look at the Line 6 POD X3 Live

  • The Boss ME-50 is a digital multi effects unit, its got distortions, modulation effects etc. all built into it. There's various pro's and con's of using multi effects as opposed to individual pedals but for me personally I prefer individual analog pedals.

  • Ditto

  • Are there any pedals that only contain the 'boost' effect?

  • yeah they are but you would be paying the same price i would just go with somthin else that has a boost in it

  • Yes, The Electro-Harmonix Nano LPB-1 Power Booster, it's simply a boost pedal, but it really accents the nuances in the sound of your setup. The Nano LPB-1 Power Booster gives your sound presence! Housed in a compact, die-cast box and a 9V DC power jack. It only costs about $40 and it's REALY great, I'm using it all the time in solo's and stuff

  • ... or any of you guys reading comments and having experience with that sort of thing, would be happy to hear thoughts...

  • Hey Justin,

A ton of thanks for those free, quite insightful postings!

About this pedal, how do you reckon is going to get along with a Laney vc30 all tube amp? You've mentioned its quite transistory, but I like the features quite a bit!

Do you think its gonna eat away all the nice, warm, bell-like sound of my tubes, or would it be a compliment, bringing on a different set of goodies

I'd really appreciate your view on it cuz its a costly investment and i'm seriously contemplating...

  • I think this pedal not worth it money. Try this pedal it's grate especially with les paul:

MXR MC-402 Custom Audio Electronics Boost/Overdrive Pedal

  • wanna ask smthing..about the on/off button..ya i know its work as toggle push once - on, push once more - off...but actually how its work? is it mechanical (spring work) or its have another digital circuit inside there to do the toggle?

  • got it..there is a switch called 'bypass switch' :)

  • oh... my... £200 for it?

  • yah my thoughts exactly, were not on joe satriani wage you know T.C!

  • lol nowadays you can use a pc to generate better sounds. virtualy no cost.

  • yeah but dude, on stage with a pc, come on what is this guitar hero or summin!?! :)

  • lol it would work (and a laptop not better?) but the time delay might be a problem. i mean there is realy much cheaper pedals to buy i mean come on that one is the price of a supatronical pedal lol with like glowing lights and a manual the size of your head hahaha

  • =)))))))))))))

  • I want one of these now.

  • Explaining the "on" button is totaly awesome :D

  • jejejejejejeje BULLSHIT....Its not True!!!!

  • Hi! Do you know if it works well put directly in a mixer, using the speaker simulator? Thanks a lot

  • Vintage..... a word that anyyone slaps on anything these days.

  • G'morning Justing. Forgot to shave yourself XD ^_____^

  • bullshit its not true

  • good for ACDC songs the song that came to my mind is "you shook me all night long"

  • #potter# i was thinking ACDC but they dont use distotion at all, jus volume an bass now. i dont know why. dont ask. no seriously. no. NO I SAID!

  • a clean distortion is great when your amp is set with a good amount of tube crunch. crunch on top of crunch gets mushy, IMO. transistor distortion, since it's before the valve distortion in the amp, blends better. that's why i loved my boss OD-2 with my marshall bluesbreaker combo! :)

  • another fine review Justin.

    have a great day,

    XEM

  • Your telecaster tone is lost with this pedal. You should try, if you can, your tele through a tweed with a warm clean tone. The Mesa is very much a rock amp and not too friendly to your telecaster. I don't like the pedal, honestly. It really colours the sound in a not so nice way.

  • I wouldnt open it, I would keep it on a safe cool place.

  • I can see that you really like rock. Its nice to see tha OP with a PreAmp to a bypolar pass doing some distortion, I guess its usefull for adjusting the FLAT, but it sounds to mee that at the bottom setting is New Blue sound. How much did it cost you? It's well worth it, enjoy it.

  • got a tce vintage tremolo, good pedals

  • thanks justin.

  • Can you please do a review of your TC Electronic G-System. Please! i beg you

  • QFT

  • he already has - search his site.

  • no he didnt

  • YES he did - I've seen it.

  • he's even mentioned it in most of these reviews.

  • if your referring to the rig video thats not a review of the g system. he only mentioned because its part of his rig. that vid up there thats a review

  • no im not refering to that video - there's another one where he talks about his tele - he imported it from the USA and modified the volume knobs coz they normally "get in the way". He was pissed off coz he spent thousands and they didnt even set it up well.

  • Great idea Justin, with the new review series.

When I´m looking at your tele it crosses my mind, that you really got one knob more, than most people ;-).

  • yeah he modified his tele - he explains why on one of his vids. Check the site.

  • Crunchy, Round, Honky, Transistery, Humbuckery, Brightness, Clean, Steril, Crisp, Clear, Valvery, Flat, Scratchy. Did I miss any? This just makes me want to buy an electric guitar and see what sounds I can achieve.

  • Great description of the different sounds: crisp, crunchy, honkey & scratchy. They totally make sense!! Thank you for the review! Good information Justin!

  • what tune are you sampling in this review

  • great

  • nice review
