Hey Justin. Can u please post a tutorial on , How to Use Overdrive effects, Compression effects, and distortion effects in electic guitar ? I am confused a lot of all these effects . Please post a tutorial on this which will be helpful for beginners in electric guitar. Thank u in advance.
hi ..... i am new and beginner in guitar. One doubt please. Why are pedals used separately ? Cant we get the same effect from ME 50 processors ? Why people buy pedals separately when we get the same effects from ME 50 processers ? am very much confused about all these guitar theory. Please help me and clearly explain me why we use pedals separately , ME 50 processors, amps etc. Still not clear about all these. thank you in advance.
The Boss ME-50 is a digital multi effects unit, its got distortions, modulation effects etc. all built into it. There's various pro's and con's of using multi effects as opposed to individual pedals but for me personally I prefer individual analog pedals.
Yes, The Electro-Harmonix Nano LPB-1 Power Booster, it's simply a boost pedal, but it really accents the nuances in the sound of your setup. The Nano LPB-1 Power Booster gives your sound presence! Housed in a compact, die-cast box and a 9V DC power jack. It only costs about $40 and it's REALY great, I'm using it all the time in solo's and stuff
A ton of thanks for those free, quite insightful postings!
About this pedal, how do you reckon is going to get along with a Laney vc30 all tube amp? You've mentioned its quite transistory, but I like the features quite a bit!
Do you think its gonna eat away all the nice, warm, bell-like sound of my tubes, or would it be a compliment, bringing on a different set of goodies
I'd really appreciate your view on it cuz its a costly investment and i'm seriously contemplating...
wanna ask smthing..about the on/off button..ya i know its work as toggle push once - on, push once more - off...but actually how its work? is it mechanical (spring work) or its have another digital circuit inside there to do the toggle?
lol it would work (and a laptop not better?) but the time delay might be a problem. i mean there is realy much cheaper pedals to buy i mean come on that one is the price of a supatronical pedal lol with like glowing lights and a manual the size of your head hahaha
a clean distortion is great when your amp is set with a good amount of tube crunch. crunch on top of crunch gets mushy, IMO. transistor distortion, since it's before the valve distortion in the amp, blends better. that's why i loved my boss OD-2 with my marshall bluesbreaker combo! :)
Your telecaster tone is lost with this pedal. You should try, if you can, your tele through a tweed with a warm clean tone. The Mesa is very much a rock amp and not too friendly to your telecaster. I don't like the pedal, honestly. It really colours the sound in a not so nice way.
I can see that you really like rock. Its nice to see tha OP with a PreAmp to a bypolar pass doing some distortion, I guess its usefull for adjusting the FLAT, but it sounds to mee that at the bottom setting is New Blue sound. How much did it cost you? It's well worth it, enjoy it.
if your referring to the rig video thats not a review of the g system. he only mentioned because its part of his rig. that vid up there thats a review
no im not refering to that video - there's another one where he talks about his tele - he imported it from the USA and modified the volume knobs coz they normally "get in the way". He was pissed off coz he spent thousands and they didnt even set it up well.
Crunchy, Round, Honky, Transistery, Humbuckery, Brightness, Clean, Steril, Crisp, Clear, Valvery, Flat, Scratchy. Did I miss any? This just makes me want to buy an electric guitar and see what sounds I can achieve.
Great description of the different sounds: crisp, crunchy, honkey & scratchy. They totally make sense!! Thank you for the review! Good information Justin!
I agree with y'all that there is too much chat and not enough playing. I don't (won't) make the same mistake any more :)

Hey justin! How are you?
I have a kind of "request":
Could you do a video giving us tips for play guitar and sing at the same time?
Sometimes I play songs like one that i learnt with you (run by snow patrol) and i try to sing but i get confused
letskate94 2 years ago
just keep practicing... singing and playing comes after you've trained your brain to forget about your fingers/hands and what they're doing
rohan87 2 years ago
Thakns :)
letskate94 2 years ago
what i do is i play the song and watch tv and actually pay attention...
then play while i talk with my friends...
then i try to sing.
IT WORKS! hahah

It's not a bad idea! :)
Thank you!

individual pedals have more options and better sound. high end multieffects sound almost as good, look at the Line 6 POD X3 Live

sean6201 3 years ago

When I´m looking at your tele it crosses my mind, that you really got one knob more, than most people ;-).
