That, or they were in danger like Lot, whose line was going unpreserved, so God looked the other way when his daughters fucked him to preserve the seed of their father. When you get down to it, the bible would rather have people doing none of those things, since Jesus wanted people to treat each other like equals, even married couples (which ended polygamy)

Slavery and polygamy were common practices in the whole world back then, and genocide, murder and infanticide was banned by Jesus Christ. Ironic how you're stuck with the old Testament and completely ignore how the New Testament preaches love, peace, and even cooperation with pagan authorities.
