  • Very interesting indeed! It's no wonder our ancestors chose horse hair to make strings... Not only was it readily available, but it is also so very flexible yet incredibly strong. Thanks for the upload, Michael. Looking forward to your next vid. :)

  • Fascinating - I guess we forget that once upon a time you couldn't just walk into a shop and buy a set of strings!

  • @MrRandomWritings yes, Its very interesting, I am sure selectively taking some hair from your horse was a little easier than making gut strings....

  • @michaeljking Can Gut and sinew strings work? and can horse hair work on a Lute?
