和田アキラ デビュー当時から知ってました。
gibson les paul や335を弾いているころの音色とP－〇〇〇ギターでは音色に差がありすぎますね。
日本のギタリスト全般に言えるのは、ステージで弾き手がモニターする音と客席の音の
違いを理解してない場合が多いようです。
最近のアキラさん往年のブリリアントな輝きと力強さが失われた観がいなめません。
大きな病気を患ったようです。

確かに最近の和田アキラ氏のプレイは上手いんだけど速いんだけど凄まじいんだけど、
楽器のセッティングによる音質と、プレイによる音色がなぜああもガギゴギ硬くなってしまったのか。
歪ませるにしても昔は艶やかで丸っこい歪み方だったのに・・。あくまでファンのたわごとですが。

akira氏とケンさん、このお二人は同じ方向に向かっていないのですね。この曲は大好きだっただけにあまりにも惨い出来だ。

むかーし、「部長刑事」というドラマで、宮川大助がエンディングで野球しているシーンでこの曲のラスト部分が流れていて「めっちゃ良い！！」と思っていたけど、まさかあれから十年以上後に出会うとは・・・。和田氏のサウンドはアレだけど、楽曲に乾杯！

高水健司さんではないです。

This is a beautiful ballad, but I have to cringe at some of the things Wada plays...especially with that crunch, it really ruins the sound.

I must agree, it honestly wasn't a great performance. I don't really like what they've done to their old songs. The performance of Unforgettable on Live Alive Vol. 2 is amazing though.
