This is done in the classic style of Ugg. Obviously this house in Alabama doesn't see snow, but it sees rain I'm sure. Can't sitting water cause damage to a structure and even make the roof cave in? That rooftop needs something, like a garden or a restaurant. : )
@Pin33.Yes, shit style. This film was originally titled "Art Deco House" hence my original comment. You have changed the title of the film so as not to look stupid. Thats not my fault.
@coltsuperocean10 The title change was clearly tongue-in-cheek...and wouldn't do a very good job of "concealing" the original title anyhow, since all nontrolling comments remain intact.
I've deleted three or four "shit style" responses from you during the past month, but I think I'll keep this one. It handily illustrates what a pathetic, petulant jackass you are.
I agree that it resembles the Prairie style, but I wouldn't call it exactly that, either--it's more streamlined and minimal than any Prairie-style house I've seen.
I'm no architectural expert, but I do see the Frank Lloyd Wright influence - almost a cross between Prairie and Usonian, at least from the outside. It is interesting, and unfortunately it is in a failing neighborhood. Hope it survives.
@Pin33 I would say That many of its features are Bauhaus. The cantilevered eaves, Flat roof, outlined ridges and cubism are all a part of the bauhaus movement. Ecept its red and the windows look more prairie or "victorian" style. A nice house though, i hope its being maintained.
i think that is more of a streamline modern, from the same family of archetecture though, but deco is usually more ornate then this and is more distinc in its lines that build out or pastel colors if you go for the south beach miami look.

@coltsuperocean10 That's clever, coltsuperocean, but no one seems to be able to agree on what style this house does represent. Any ideas?

Not at all art deco. More prairie style.

This house was in a neighborhood on the decline 45 years ago when I was young. I see that all the trees that used to surround it have been cut down.
Florence is full of architectural jewels; a pity that the town doesn't treasure them.

That is one very cool looking house.
