Very Gothic (as in Dark Ages) indeed. But in a good way, more like towards Christian Faith (no violence between humans no matter what) than like towards the social Middle Ages (people killing each other in name of country and culture and using Christianity as an excuse to do so).

I really feel the Need now to clear Things up about the Origin of the "Gothic" Subculture. It has nothing to do with the ancient Goths. The Word "gothic" is an english Adjective and means "obscure/dark". Of course the Adjectives Origin lies in the Fear from the ancient Goth Tribe and was therefore created with this Meaning many Centuries ago. But the new Gothic Subculture has nothing to do with it. Gothic = obscure/dark. Nothing to do with History.

I have a thing for goth girls, as they're often classified and my ex-girlfriend does some goth modeling.

Actually, the adjective "gothic" has a different origin. It was first used to label an artistic period born in France in the XII cent. and then spread in the rest of Europe, with no "dark" meaning whatsoever. Its meaning as "obscure/dark" is due to the fact that in the second half of the XVIII cent. was born a "horror" narrative genre whose stories were usually set in the Medieval age in castles and manors of gothic architecture, and so "gothic" became the name of the genre. :)

wow you know what makes this song really good? the fuckin forth chord , the d minor chord, how you set it up is amazing. g minor then e flat major, then f major then d minor just amazing and the harmonies used to set up that d minor. The best set up for that d minor is the part from 2:24 to 2:35.

This song makes my heart wander in a calm wintery landscape with nowhere in which the snow does not cover. As far as my eyes can see is a field of snow as more falls down quietly from the sky, indifferently and beautifully. Gothic or not, I feel like music like this universally display a sad and emotional message that is beautiful to the ears and paints a poignant moment in people's hearts.
