Nesting Northern Map Turtle (Graptemys geographica)

So this is a Graptemys geographica from NY? its so weird because ive always thought of graptemys as southern species.

Its actually in the genus Graptemys, which includes all the map turtles including falso map turtles. Clemmys is the genus for the spotted turtle, it also used to include pond turtles, bog turtles and wood turtles.
