@UTbeWatcher08 The mic is ok, yes it's a built in mic. it's perfectly ok for home movies and holiday videos, but if your looking to shoot something a bit more professional then you will most likely want to give this camera a miss.
There are no controls ont he actual camera itself to adjust manual focus, the camera heavily depends on the auto focus, however there is an option in the menu to change the focus manually. If you need a camera where you can adjust the focus quickly and easily then i would look at a differernt camera.
Changing it quickly is nothing that I need, I want to put a fisheye on this camera and for this I'd like to change the focus manually so I can sharpest image possible. This should be possible? I tried putting my fisheye on my Lumix compact camera and the auto focus just made everything bluryr.
Yes there is an option in the menu to set the focus manually, there is also an option to use the camera with a wide angle lense which is basically what a fisheye lense it, so that could stop the auto focusing problem you had with your Lumix.
i downloaded this file as HD, but it only has 70 MB, so it doesnt have the original 328 MB anymore. therefore i wont see the original file on my HD TV screen. can you tell me how the indoor footage is on a HD TV screen? are the lowlight videos okay with that camcorder?
Yes, you will find that if you download the HD file from YouTube the quality will be quite bad compared to the original footage. Low light shooting is good, it's one of the better cameras i have used for low light shooting. I would go as far to say that footage looks better on a HD TV than on a computer monitor. This in my opinion is because the resolution of your TV is lower than that of your monitor, so footage recorded from your camera will fit your TV screens resolution better.
thanks for answering. so, obviously you have had different camcorders before and you say that low light footage was never as good as with this sony hdr -cx105e,- sounds pretty good. i might buy this one
