  • im guna try that this weekend

  • Isn't that crossing over?

  • It's like having an extra player on the field! we're so lucky to have him! pray for no injuries in the next few weeks...

  • it's not crossing because hickey crosses the ball not the man. same idea as a spot runner

  • as a Munster supporter this guy has broken my heart for years.. but he is quite simply the greatest rugby player of the last 10 years.. in the world.. better than anyone else.

  • The ball is allowed to go forward provided that the ball does not touch another player or the ground before the person who threw/passed the ball collects it again.

  • are you guys all idiots?? Do you even know how to play rugby?! As long as the ball goes behind the person who passes the ball it's not forward!!!

  • definitely crossing there!!

  • It's not a forward pass or a knock-on if he regathers it himself.

  • obstuction

  • @rugbyking32 dummy

  • @Natoyle93 yer but the guy he chucked it over ran and knoked sum1 over who wasnt goin in 4 a tackle

  • @rugbyking32 Yerh but the opposite players were initially thinking of tackling the that player so they run into him brian o drisscal dummied it, i can see what you mean hard to debate really

  • @Natoyle93 yer have 2 look at it from different angles lol oh well :P lets just say it was an obstucted dummy ;)

  • Is that not considered a forward throw?

  • @avanpeltno2fan Its only forward if the ball touches the ground

  • @CillinMC thats retarded, what if you throw it forward over someone, that's a forward throw

  • @rjhather Look at the rules!! I remember some French guy(cant remember who) threw it over someones head and scored a try at the 2003 World Cup.

  • @CillinMC its not forward, it was backwards you fucking dumbshit.

  • @fizzydrinkz no ur the dumbshit, its clearly fowward, he throws the ball before the line and catches it after!!

  • @CillinMC omg youre really a fucking moron. he runs up, but it wasnt forward. you probably havent even played a game of rugby before, what a pussy

  • @CillinMC it went backwards dumbass.

  • @CillinMC actually, he throws it back if you look at his body language, but the ball and him are moving forward

  • @aikenverschuur just because you catch the ball behind you doesn't mean it a backward pass, a forward pass is in relation to the ground

  • @CillinMC not true, a hypothetical - if someone was sprinting forward and passed the ball (correctly) and then instantly stopped dead (which is impossible unless they get tackled straight after they passed it) the ball would be moving in a forward direction becuase of the player's momentum. it's body language: "in relation to your position on the field, your hands must direct the ball back or level, never forwards "

    do you even play rugby?

  • @CillinMC no its only forward when it goes over your shoulders

  • @NZman747 WTF :@

  • @CillinMC @rjhather Its only considered forward if the ball touches someone else or if it touches the ground.

  • @MsTrailerGuy Yes!!! Finaly someone with a bit of sense!!

  • @CillinMC He catches it after the line because there moving forward but its still slightly backwards.

  • @CillinMC that was backwards and a forward pass is a forward pass.. it doesn't have to touch the ground

  • @1FastfingersMcgee1 th ball leaves his hand before the line, he takes it in after the line. That's forward. I know a forward pass is a forward pass but, throwing it to yourself is not a pass. It's the equivilant of fumbling it but catching it before it touches the ground.

  • @CillinMC ahh word.. O'Driscoll is a beast

  • @rjhather Technically, it is deemed that a player still has control of the ball should he try and throw it over someone. Therefore it is completely legal to annihilate him with a tackle as he tries to regather the ball.

  • @avanpeltno2fan I think it would be classed the same as if you were fumbling the ball in your hands, about to knock it on, but get control of it, if that makes sense

  • Comment removed

  • that was ridiculous

  • total skill is correct, to b able to think to do that durin a match in that split 2nd is unreal, thats why he's the best centre in the world.

  • As the man said " O'Driscoll , the best centre in the WORLD " c'mon Ireland

  • Haha when you think about it all he did was pop the ball over a players head lol

Still a quality player, cant wait to see him on the lions.

  • Unreal!the Maradonna of Rugby!!unlucky not to be Lions captain again,o connell is also a legend, but an inform BOD will cause Munster plenty of trouble in the European semi!

  • Oh come on, he's put on a bit of weight in the last few years but he's hardly as fat as Maradonna! If he keeps up his current 10 (pies) a day habit, he'll be there soon though.

  • omg im fem dublin and i play rugy and ill never seen anting lakk dat ??

  • Probably be called as crossing nowadays...

  • No its not cause he didnt have the ball in his hand when the player ran in front of him

  • i second that:)

  • Thats total skill

  • he is pure class and I'm english!

  • Who tries that lol, i mean come on how the hell do ya come up wiv that?

  • rory underwood was the first to do that

  • dat is so hard 2 pull off without getting smash by a fuckin HUGE centre:S

  • savage do you know what baselayer he wears
