The funny thing is, in RE5 with the DLC that lets you unlock Heavy Metal Chris, you pretty much can. I remember a few occasions where myself and a co-op partner both played as HMC in Public Assembly, stood back to back in the middle of the stage and just held down both triggers until time ran out. It was glorious. The framerate went south so many times, I'm surprised my 360 didn't catch fire.

So, the key to complete each level is take all time increasers at the time?

In this level, I find it far easier to do a lap around it and collect all of the time bonuses, ideally ending in the cabin that's inaccessible in the main game. That way you don't have to worry about looking for extra time. In the Castle and especially the Base, that isn't the case and you'll usually be trying to get from Point A to Point E and stop off at B through D to grab some time and try and kill or get past whatever runs into you on the way.

This is the level that pisses me off because i would end up getting cornered by gannados while trying to reload and those chainsaw bitches would chainsaw my damn head off. The way you do this is cool because you know when and where to use an area as a stand point. Plus you also get a good amount of space I'm going to take a shot at it tonight.

Castle: The first Garrador spawns if you spend more than a few minutes in the lower areas of the level, and one or both of the armoured Garradors should NOT spawn if you have around 80,000 points when you enter the double doors at the top of the level.

Base: J.J. usually spawns after every 20,000 points you get.

Island: This one seems to be purely chance based. Either one Salvador spawns at the start and the second one spawns when the player earns 21,000 points (even before it shows up on the score counter itself), one will only spawn when you get 21,000 points, or very rarely, none will spawn at all.

You'll unlock The Mercenaries when you finish the game, and depending on your version of the game, it'll be either on the main menu (GameCube) or under the Extras menu (PS2/PC/Wii). It isn't a level though, it's a minigame.

I have all the money you need to upgrade it I just can't get past pueblo and castle with Leon! Does Leon's shotgun do more damage on the other versions? On the wii version Leon's shotgun only has seven firepower.

I unlocked the Chicago Typewriter AND The Infinite Launcher, still working on Handcannon, and the Plagas Removal Laser (PRL 412).

Heres how to unlock each of them (PS2):

Handcannon - All characters, all 5 *'s in Mercs. Sells for 0 (Zero) PTAS.

Chicago Typewriter - Beat Seperate Ways.

Sells for 1,000,000 (One-million) PTAS.

PRL 412 - Beat game on Pro. Sells for 0 (Zero) PTAS.

Infinite Launcher - Beat game on Normal.

Sells for 1,000,000 (One-million) PTAS.

The Chicago Typewriter is better than the handcannon. In ten seconds the handcannon does 799.2 damage (yay for calculators and looking at the rate of fire on a video), while in ten seconds the Chicago typewriter does 1000 damage(yay for mental math). The Chicago typewriter shoots 10 times in 1 second, so thats 100 damage per second. But while the handcannon does 99.9 damage, it shoots every 1.17 seconds. So the typewriter is better in most situations.
