If you disregard what Apple says and have faith that the iPhone can correct your mistakes, you will find that you can type very quickly. Almost as fast as a BlackBerry. Did that in 20 seconds on my iPhone 4S's keyboard, thank you very much.

That is not fast at all. Last year, I used my iPhone all the time, and I timed myself and I was able to type about 23 words a minute (not just "of" "and" or other short words, a whole essay)

I think that it is the best keyborad to type on though.

i have had my iphone for a year and the screen is not scratched at all. The back is a little scratched but nothing out of the ordinary. But yes, their is protective screens if you really want one.

You must be awesome with your thumbs, but most of us can only manage about twenty to thirty words a minute on our Qwerty keyboards, when using correct punctuation.  I counted, and that guy typed thirty-one words in one minute and twenty seconds. He also managed twenty-five words in one minute. Sure, that's not setting a record, but it is perfectly functional, and within normal range.

By the way, a couple of other videos on youtube show some speedy typists punching out 50-60 wpm on the iphone. That is fast by anyone's estimation. Hell, that is damn good on a full size keyboard!

I would love to own an iphone but I am certain that it does not live up to the blackberry keyboard (my girlfriend owns an iPhone). Anyway, I think I am going to settle on a blackberry 9000. I luv the iPhone's keyboard. I had the Blackberry Curve before the iPhone and I am faster on the iPhone than on the Blackberry. I totally beat my girlfriend in typing on her sidekick lx. I just don't like D-Pads and I'm a Mac user. Other than that, I was rather impressed with it, especially since its video quality beat the iPod when it first came out. The iPhone beats the Zune's video quality though, and Apple implemented Wi-Fi in a useful way a couple weeks ago. Your move, Microsoft : )

Well not everything is going to fit everyone's bill. I would prefer to have my iPod and phone in one device, less stuff to haul around in my pockets. Sadly I can't have an iPhone since we don't have AT&T where I live, so I'm going to be stuck with an iPod and phone anyway. At least I can have the iPhone interface on my new iPod. And the Mac devotee in me is willing to pay the premium for a great device.

I do understand about carrying around too much, I hate to have things in my pockets (I only ever carry my phone, keys, and cash-no wallet). I live in Canada(SK), where neither the Zune nor iPhone are available... making a lot of this discussion on my part pointless. But I do plan to get a future version of the Zune (assuming it is ever released here). Maybe a Zune phone? I like women more than hardware though... sorry, I have a lot on my mind.

wow thats actually really fast. its really hard at first to type on the virtual keyboard and took me about 3 weeks before i started typing with 2 thumbs. now i can type fairly quickly on my iphone. the spelling correction will help u type soo much faster if u trust it in correcting ur errors as long as they are now completely off.

I send videos to friends all the time and they send them back to me. It's also used for sending videos to news outlets. I figured since iphone had the youtube feature that you would be able to upload your videos directly to your youtube account. How often to you use the calculator?
