  • The memories of Shea will always live in my heart, even though I now live 2,000 miles away.

Tom Terrific was the best, 1969, and a team that won a pennant, after only winning 82 games in 1973...are all the good teams Seaver had to work with in NY.

One of the greatest pitchers ever!

  • i miss this place

  • lol i cried, i remember the final out too. ryan church hit it about mid center field almost a home run, just didnt have enough on it

  • I was there... and after the loss, I was disgusted. Tom Seaver throwing the last pitch ever in Shea Stadium history to Mike Piazza and OF COURSE, he bounces it 10 feet short. That described our franchise in that building.

  • I WAS THERE!

  • What could have been more perfect? Winning the game beforehand.

  • i was at this game when the last pitch of the real game happend like when the marlins pitched all you saw was the hole stadium light up with flashes with cameras

  • aw man i cried when i saw piazza and seaver close the doors and the lights going off before they even left the field

  • i almost cried when i saw this =(

  • shit i did cry lol

  • I was past tears- just sort of feeling everything at once......

I grew up a Mets fan in LA, still live there and dream of moing to NYC-

I always dreamed of seeing a game at Shea, and now I'll nver get to. :(

  • @dimebagshawn7209 me too... haha im a die hard mets fan

  • What could be more perfect than Tom Terrific..."The Franchise" throwing the last pitch at Shea Stadium....

  • Probably if they won.. But this year is our year!
