It actually had its roots from dub which had its roots from reggae and back then, there was hardy such thing as DROPS. It was just pure melodic sub bass music pretty much. All you people who just got into dubstep by listening to skrillex need to learn. Skrillex isn't dubstep more like electronica, he has never said his style is dubstep.

@Sk8t3Sn0w4 learn what the fuck dubstep is and the actual rhythm then try to make a mix. dubstep it based off of a triplet pattern not fucking 16th's and 8th's. the actual dubstep starts at 1:50...it should have had the rhythmic feeling throughout the whole song
