  • would this fit an s10 ?

  • yes, definitely ...

  • SOUNDS REALLY NICE!

  • so sweet!

  • that would be perfect for my jeep...

  • i have always wanted to do a motor swap like this but dont have the knowledge to know where to begin.. do you know of a book or dvd that gives you the run down on how to swap a gas to a Diesel motor

  • This engine seems alot quieter compared to alot of the other 4bt's.

  • @AgainstTh3Grain

Install it into a chassis before judging how quiet! LOL

any engine sitting out in the open will be 'quiet'. The frame and surrounding sheetmetal acts like a soundboard

  • Delco alternator too!

  • @pwarren1010 How about fuel line set up for the factory fuel tanks? I also wonder about adapting an AC pump?

  • you plan on putting this in a ford??

  • I wanna put one in a 1977 Dodge Sportsman Van! I think it will make the van more economical and reliable.

  • The Cummins 4BT or ISB 3.9 liter turbo-charged four cylinder looks like a good fit. This engine can be found in some Ford

E350 cube vans, Chevy/GMC P30/P3500 step vans, and Case 580 Tractors. This ISB puts out 145-170 HP and 420 pounds of torque. That is 80 pounds more than the 6.0 Vortec V8. Unfortunately the ISB is so new the chance of getting one used is slim. Buying one new is a little too rich for our project so we decided the 4BT would be the one to look for.

  • we wanna put one in my ford ranger to replace a2.3

  • Oh baby I would love to put one of these in my jeep, just time and money is the only problem!

  • Im interested in putting one in my jeep any ideas what I would use for a trans..Also whats the average coast of one you sell??

  • whats the torque rating, big blocks produce around 400-480ftlbs

  • Whats the torque rating

  • I'm VERY interested in buying one if you have one or even two for sale let me know

  • would this motor fit in a Suzuki Sierra/samuri?

  • I was thinking about getting one of those engines and installing it in a 1990 Ford Ranger...would they fit with very little effort?

  • @unclebuck6291 were can you get them at

  • Can a 4bt get adapted into a Jeep Commander that has a 3.7 L V6 with the base four wheel drive / 5-sp auto-manual transmission?

  • That would be sweet in my 84 Mazda B2000 long bed with a 5 speed behind it.

Do you guys sell these motors ?

  • my jeep with that would be a beast

  • Chevy s10 ..cummins .. yes they will

  • Question. If they came in chevy pannel vans would they mate up to the trannys in an s10?

  • I'm going to put one of these into a 1969 VW Beetle and get 50 miles to the gallon :)

  • @battlefield2maniac shut the fuck up...... LMFAO

  • Absolutely a work of art! Man I want one of these for my Ramcharger. Just an awesome engine!

  • i would love to put that in my truck igot a 91 power ram 150 do ya think it would work

  • @dodgediesel441 yes it would :-)

  • Would ya be willing to sell it lol I wanna put a 4bt in my 89 dodge Dakota

  • Hey really nice looking. I have a 1996 cummins 4bt.I was wondering if you could show us all how you wired it up to start it up? I have no idea to make it start. thanks.

    Joe

  • nice

  • these came in the frito lay trucks .it was a repower program from cummins to save fuel in the delivery trucks versus the 350 ci chevy . they range in horsepower from 105 HP to 130 intercooled Hp . they have as much torque as a big block chevy . an awsome engine for fuel economy and torque Monster . keep your eyes peeled for my next one soon to be released and for sale !

  • how much can you get a decent condition 4bt but still cheap i want to swap my chevelle

  • It'd be sweet to put one of those with a zf 5speed + transfercase into a 4x4 ranger

  • how much power would that engine put out? It looks small, but it sounds like a lot of Dodges i have seen. Could anyone tell me what these came in?.

  • hey were could i find a good one of those

  • man thats beautiful. look how "simple" and "easy" this engine looks just sitting there running. only wires for the battery. no complicated wiring harness with ECU's and ECM's and relays and fuses and hoses and plastic parts every where. its a shame what modern day engines have come to due to emissions BS.

  • @ilovegoatsecks I used to think the same thing, and when it comes to emissions you're right, but with electronic engines you can get twice the performance and efficiency as the older stuff......but I do love these cummins!

  • nice, man

  • would this fit in a s10?

  • @ryanexiled yeah it would fit in an a s10 and ranger as a joke one of my buddies put it in a cj jeep and fit perfectly and kicks ass in a jeep

  • Looking for a 3.3 engine myself, know/have anything?

  • about what ?

  • we need to have a talk on the phone :)

  • good job. Built a few of these myself, very tough engine.
