  • best vampire movie ever!!!

  • i havent seen the swedish version but i have seen the english version and i LOVE the let me in and i dont know why people love the swedish movie so much. what is there a subtitle while in the movie?

  • I like the swedish version (I am swedish)

Maybe this is good too but what is some peoples problem with subtitles?

  • @EllieWallander95 The reason is reading. More than once, I have heard "I don't go to the movies to read," with "read" spoken in the greatest contempt, as if there could be nothing worse. More subtly, without knowing cultural cues and other non-overt messaging, it can be difficult to detect sarcasm and such. I have watched a number of films in various languages, and can very often get the emotional cues from the actors. Sometimes, what is written and what is going on onscreen doesn't match up

  • I like the woman's shirt.Random..

  • I watched this movie with my parents on Nexflix just a little bit ago. At first all of us had no idea what it was about and 20 mins into it my mom said to shut it off because she thought it was just going to be a slasher- really no point kind of film. But i looked it up and told her about the great reviews and what was going on up to that point and we sat down and started watching it again. I thought it was amazing! Great acting and mood for this film. Made me want to go and bye the book.

  • "audiences?" i think you mean 4 random people. this movie is an amazing masterpiece.

  • nice movies great the little boy.

  • both versions are great in their own ways.

  • I just finished watching the swedish film now imma watch this

  • every one should read the book of course if there is one in English i read the book today not the whole book but i read it like 4 hours strait and i have read problems for me that is amazing

  • I just saw this movie at my friend house on Netflix n it was pretty good. Is more of a love story than a horror. Recommend.

  • Dakota Fanning? Guh, Elle definitely could've, but no way Dakota

  • I thought this movie was cute.

The little boy and the little girl were like adorable <3

  • @JessicaLynGuadalupee Have you seen Let The Right One In? That really does emphasise the love and development between them not as much as the horror - I definitely think you should watch it and compare them.

  • I'm thinking of seeing this film it looks quite good. Is worth me seeing?

  • @cheekygirl07 yes if u pay attention whats going on im 15 im going on my third time to watching it

  • @stormer8i0 I did watch it with my family too. We all loved it! Awesome film.

  • I watch movies, because I wanna both be entertained and see some real art. At the end of this movie I was like: "Now, that's what I'm talking about!" I had the same impression while seeing Kick-Ass btw.

  • God i have not seen a good horror movie for a long time, but this changed that it was great it wasn't super scary and honestly I never closed my eyes in fear and jumped out of my seat but it didn't really matter this movie was great and I recomend it to anyone. I get annoyed by all the stupid shit that is all the same like the running around slice and dice flims or stupid ghost movies like paranormal activity. This was somthing new and isn't that dumb romantic twilight shit. Five out of five :D

  • @HellomynameisN

    well said my friend :)

  • i kinda liked it :D

  • Chloe was great in Let Me In :P

  • this movie was like twilight....... except done right =)

  • What's she talking about my DVD has a dubbed option?!

  • This is boring! :(

  • ES EL PRIMER REMAKE KE ME PARECE MUCHO MEJOR KE LA ORIGINAL.

LA DIRECCION,LA FOTOGRAFIA,EL GUION,LA MUSICA,Y EN ESPECIAL LAS ACTUACIONES DE RICHARD JENKINS,CHLOE MORETZ Y kodi smit-mcphee(SOBRE TODO CHLOE)ME PARECEN DE UN NIVEL POCO ANTES VISTO EN ACTORES TAN JOVENES.

LOS KE ALGUNOS DESTACAN DE LAS ACTUACIONES DE LOS CHICOS SUECOS ES EL "REALISMO" PARA MI ES FALTA DE TALENTO,Y LOS PLANOS LARGOS DE LA VERSION SUECA KE ALGUNOS DESTACAN COMO UNA GENIALIDAD DEL DIRECTOR, ES FALTA DE PRESUPUESTO

  • Checkout My Honest review of "Let Me In". I Keep It REAL!!

  • I have read the book but from what i can see by the trailers, Let the Right One In (Swedish) sticks more to the story and that actors look like the characters and then Let Me In, doesn't look that good and I think it's funny how it has to be dummed down for the U.S :P Can't wait to watch the Swedish one!

  • "make it more accessible" LOL to retards? this movie is a total FAIL. and the director claims it's not a remake and inspired by the book. so the book inspired him to use the same camera angles too? and he left out the exact same things the ORIGINAL movie left out from the book ... what a coincidence! fuck this cheap shit. watch the original. and if you can't read the subs take evening classes

  • @bbphnix ur a nerd

  • overall it seemed to have been turned into a mainstream movie; of course, since I have an anti-Hollywood bias, even I wouldn't trust my feelings;

    but, yeah, that's what I think;

I 'm probably gonna delete 'let me in' and keep 'Låt den rätte komma in'

also: I like movies of other languages:) the simple fact that it's in Swedish is a plus for me; (may riches be upon you inventor of subtitles! dreadful world this would have been if we couldn't understand foreign films at all)

  • @bbphnix

What do you think of the American version of Seven Samurai called Magnificent Seven?

  • talented movie makers of every nation across the glob; they all have interesting stories to tell and they should all get the kind of funding Hollywood movies get;

so, yeah, maybe I was biased; there other tinnier things.... at one point in the original the boy sees the girls genitalia and that is shown on screen; they didn't show it in thee US version; classic US censorship... nearly puked when I realized how the scene was cut...

  • @bbphnix You almost puked because you didn't see child porn? Lmfao get off it you pedophile.

  • @xxFairestxx That's NOT child porn! It's showing the kid's perspective without whimping out and censoring stuff!!! The way they censor movies in the US is revolting! In the Swedish version they didn't censor it are the Swedes perves?!

  • @bbphnix Bro, I am a strong advocate for freedom to express artistic vision through whatever have you, be it photography, or film. And to answer, not all American's are perves...and in retalliation, there are swedish perverts. It's all the individual, but censorship is part of the American culture. We don't find it appropriate to show the private parts of a child, it adds shock value to a people that don't really give a fuck if it shows her nude or not. It's all about the audiance.

  • I have just finished watching both movies; I really liked the Swedish one, which i watched first and wanted to somehow 'get another dose'; however, personally I didn't like the US version; I found it too explicit: like it was 'dumbed down'; in the original A LOT of the feelings are very subtle; subliminal almost

however I should mention that I am biased against Hollywood: I want to see their empire destroyed and its 'territories' divided equally among all the

  • the girl in this version was really a "girl"?

  • can i ask why you interviewd a bunch of movie noobs that dont know what theyre talking about just saying, by the way let me in was incredible

  • Finally, a true vampire movie. FUCK all the Twilight movies. Let Me In is everything a vampire movie is supposed to be. It was frightening, it was romantic, and best of all, it was BADASS. Best vampire movie I have seen in a long time.

  • I usually don't like Swedish movies, but Låt den rätte komma in / Let the right one in is an exception :)

  • Recent hollywood cash in failures -

    THE GRUGE - Inferior

REC ( or quarantine for the clueless american ) - Inferior

    THE RING - Inferior

    LET ME IN - Inferior

    THE EYE - inferior

Alll the foreign originals were superior.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i luv the movie and id love to meet the actors that would be such a dream

  • Let The Right One In is a masterpiece

  • @queenrocks21 that movie is retardet terrible acting boring scenes

  • lol I really don't understand why that guy saw it. Regardless of its review, if it's themes aren't anything that you enjoy, and you know of them preceding your decision to see the film, why see it at all?

  • @AnonymouslyElected you aren't very bright are you...did you listen to anything I've said. That was an example because most martial arts movies are made in foreign countries. Movies like Gabriel and Cube are also foreign. Don't try to be a smart ass.

  • Worst movie of all time. The storyline is non-existent, just one killing after the other with no collateral damage once so ever.

  • @Polterguist Oh my God, you didn't even watch the movie. The movie isn't loaded with one killing after another, its's mainly about a relationship between a boy and a vampire.Go watch that gay ass Twilight shit, this obviously isnt for you.

  • @vipercobra451 I did see the movie. It falls to take into account all collateral damage. The girl kills a cop in a macabre way and just comes out calmly to the boy. It's bad... very very bad... Twilight sucks as well. Want to see a good movie? Try Dances With Wolves.

  • @Polterguist wtf danceswith wolves insint a vampire movie

  • @disturbed4everluke Does it matter? Apples and oranges, it's still one of the best films ever made.

  • @Polterguist that like me going to a justin bieber vid and saying the shining by stephen king is a better song but the shining is a horror story not a song and let me in is a vamp movie and dances with wolves is a whole nuther genera

  • @disturbed4everluke You'd be surprised how often you compare apples and oranges. The shining beats the living shit out of this. Hell, even sifi original movies are better than this. I was laughing for 15 minutes when I came out of the theater after watching this! That's how bad it was!

  • ONE OF THE BEST FILMS EVER

  • @AnonymouslyElected independent films, what ever is not an America film is foreign and that is the exact definition buddy.

  • I like both versions of the movie.

if one of them have to be the better one i'd say the original sweedish version is better, because all the best scenes from the american version is taken from the sweedish version of the film.

  • @AnonymouslyElected being that I am American, I am used to their type of filming an acting, that's a no brain-er. Same goes for most people from their own countries but that's besides the point. You're actually wrong for assuming I don't like anything that's not American made because I watch plenty of subtitled amine and foreign martial arts films. Think about that next time buddy.

  • @KryptonPlayer Your used to that type of filming? Thats because your a narrow minded fool who is too lazy ( like most americans ) to use the brain that god has given you & look for movies outside the US.

Its common knowledge these days hollywood has ran out of ideas, thats why they have to remake great foreign movies for the braindead lazy american audience.

  • @shotgunshawzy you need help...

  • @KryptonPlayer Your the best ive ever seen at comeback's.

  • @shotgunshawzy seriously, stop whining.

  • I like the American version better for two reasons, 1. I don't speak Swedish and 2. I don't like reading subtitles during a movie.

yeah the Swedish version has an English dubbed option but voice overs are terrible and sound fake. I don't like subtitles because it takes away from the feeling of the mood they're setting. You look at the bottom of the screen more than enjoying the actual scene. Also the 2 years made apart and budget does make a difference for me.

  • Please dont waste your time with this movie. Watch Let the right one in, EVENTHOUGH the subtitles have been dumbed down for American audiences. Did you hear that? DUMBED down. I watched the original in theaters with excellent translation. Everyone else in the world thinks were pretty dumb, yo.

  • @thosefreakincats wow, you sound like you hate America...i doubt people care what you have to say.

  • @KryptonPlayer. I doubt it, too. But all it takes is one person. I've been watching foreign films for 10 years now. It started with watching the japanese version of Dragonball/ Z and ended up with half my dvd collection from other languages of the world. It's an acquired taste that you can only look past through time. I cried watching "La Vie En Rose" yo. That french movie was nothing BUT dialogue.

  • My fellow Americans. Come on, now. Why do you need a creepy violin or ginormous drums banging and playing all the time to let you know how to feel about a scene? The mood of the scene can play itself fine without such nonsense. I'm not saying to not have any completely, but I think humans are smart enough to figure out how to feel about it.

second was the relationship between abbey and owen. Butchered. Their first encounter sparked no dynamic. And all other scenes between them

  • Oh, my god...what good to say about this movie....Only the car crash scene. ONLY ONE. The rest of the movie was utter complete garbage. And this is coming from a person who has seen the original. Not to say that this isn't a biased review. I put all feelings of the original masterpiece aside and gave this one a go.

-First and the most major problem is; the score. The dreaded score. Constantly playing the mood of the scenes.

  • I need to see this movie.! The problem: I'm 16 and it's R rated where I live. They won't let me in. (haha Let Me In.). I love the vampire genre therefore, I love True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Underworld, Interview with the Vampire and hate Twilight.

  • I'm not a purist...agree that some hollywood remakes are even better sometimes. But this one was not even close. Implications all erased. A dumbed down version so to speak. Like reading the manual instead of tackling the book as written. The pool scene & OST just can't be reinvented unless they're gonna copy & paste it, I suppose. Hire a veteran translator. Much cost effective.

  • i watched both and they are good in different ways. the swedish have more adorable actors. the american actors were just plain bad:P i mean the kids ofcours. But the american verision had mutch better effects and mutch bloodier and gorier, witch i like. and the bullies was much meaner and better actors. more believeable if you will. i like both verisions but if i have to choose it will have to bee the swedish verision cause it captures the love between eli and oscar better and cause im swedish:P

  • The reason no one saw the original was because it wasn't MARKETED here, and if it was, it wasn't marketed very strongly. Not to mention it never opened in many theaters. Pan's Labyrinth was a subtitled movie that did well here, because people actually KNEW about it. Don't blame americans, blame the marketing companies, or whoevers in charge of that.

  • EHH SPOIL SPOIL SPOIL

  • great line beacues it was on a conmsle HAHAHAHAHAH!

  • the swedish film is 10 times better.. if you havent watched it, watch it...

  • i think that the girl that said dakota fanning should be playing Abby is stupid cause dakota is to washed out for this role and way too old!

  • This bitch is soooo fucking annoying!!! Someone shoot her!!!

  • LINA LEANDERSSON THE ORIGINAL AND BEST!!!!!!!! EAT SHIT CHLOE!!

  • Thumbs Up for the blind guy walking out of the cinema at 2:43

  • @97saxophone That's hilarious!!! Well done for spotting that!

  • Comment removed

  • i don't think holy wood can do better lat then ratte komma in is one or maybe the best movie i have seen, holywood hide good foreign movies like arrietty the bo

  • Stupid intro fraze

  • 1:44 i see a BLOOOD OOORGGYYYY :D!!!

  • Whatever it is, Chloe Moretz was awesome in the show just like she is in Kick Ass.

  • Damn it people BOTH movies in their different ways are very good!!!!! Stop pinning one against the other it's annoying already.

  • @Ivanaumpalot Oh thank you!!!!

  • @Ivanaumpalot i agree

  • LOL was that a blind guy at the movies at around 2:38

  • 1:57 Stan Lee?

  • I watched this today and I'm a bit confused with the ending. I'm pretty sure Owen isn't a vampire at the end so isn't it just going to play out the same way it did with the other boy? Owen is going to end up getting blood for Abby then Abby is going to kill him when he is like 60 or something like the other boy. Why didn't Abby make Owen a vampire so they could be together for ever?

  • @AgeAwkward

I have not seen this one yet, but I have seen the Swedish original version. The girl needs someone who can move in the daylight and get her blood and maybe work for money as well. Making another vampire would limit them to night travel only and increase the likeliness she would get caught. She bonds with them when they are kids and keeps them as long as she can. I don't think she is really in love she is using her child appearance to survive. Or maybe she is not forever in love.

  • @FuryCow Yeah, that's the impression I got. It ruined it for me really. And yeah I also thought about how Abby couldn't survive at night but that's not possible because she did. After her carer died she did survive and also Owen obviously can't kill until he grows up so she will be surviving without blood during the day then. I watched some videos by the director about how Owen was different so it is a possibility that Abby and Owen will live together as vampires.

  • @AgeAwkward because if Owen (the boy) was turned into a vampire there would be no one to take care of her

  • FIRST REMAKE THAT REALLY ....... GOOD!!!!!!

  • original plot

  • im swedish and i dont like this version.

this movie was made for ppl who enloy action stuff so for americans this probably the best version;) xD

    ps

    no offence.)

  • If Let the Right One In is blood then The Twilight franchise is watered-down tasteless red- water.

  • there were actually a couple really big differences in the remake, one was that in the original eli was a castrated boy which i didn't really enjoy that much even though they managed to pull it off, in the remake that wasn't even mentioned. Also in the original, eli's guardian was a random pedophile that agreed to take care of her. In the remake it was her lover from a long time ago and had grown up. I though that was brilliant and made alot of sense. I love this version of the film.

  • @DavidHodges65 Everyone should read the novel first! Is well made and have a lot of details, I have seen the swedish version and i love it, and as for the american version it was sweetened like all movies they remake, they put beutiful child actors, and a lot of money to make it look better, but it lost its scense, Oskar (Owen) was a nerdy kid nicknamed "piggy" by the school bullies, Owen looks more like a Model Boy from magazines or a kid pulled out of disney channel

  • @jesuspalafox eeeh, cody smit-mcphee is a little more bizaare looking than your average disney channel star

  • anything you can do hollywood can do better?

you bastards! try creating your own films instead of constantly churning out remakes because you have no good ideas!

  • just so you guys know, let me in was the best movie i've ever watched.i've also seen let the right one in&for me the characters didn't connect like abby&owen did.

  • i prefer "LEt the right one in" than this one :/

  • they should make movies for valdimir tod the books are interesting, but im too lazy to read them

  • Dear Let Me In,

WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!! I HAVE SEEN LET THE RIGHT ONE IN!!!! AND IT IS AWESOME!!!!! SONS A BITCHES!!!!!

    GRRRRR!!!!

  • @MeaganSuicides I haven't seen 'Let Me In' but Let The Right One In was amazing...so unique and fresh, but still leaves me feeling dark and creepy...Perfect.

  • @MeaganSuicides In my opinion, Let Me In was better than Let The Right One In

  • @MeaganSuicides You took the words right out of my mouth!!!

  • This isn't a review.

  • This proves it in every second. Dumbest people on earth...

FUCK HOLLYWOOD!!! FUCK U.S.A.!!! FUCK AMERICANS!!!

  • @MrZeitgeist2012 My native government is a piece of shit- yes: fuck it. But blaming all Americans? Wow. I'm glad to see you're sufficed enough to judge a country by the tiny sample of Americans you know personally. You're a real wise one.

  • @MrZeitgeist2012

i just took a gamble and read your post history. you are just some angry at the world little guy that has nothing good to say about anything. i bet you would do so much better at film making if you weren't 21, broke, and in a country thats going nowhere fast. you have not one uploaded video on youtube, so i think you have no room to talk.

  • this shits so scary that everybody at the movies will be like : 'let me out!'

  • 2:41 .... is there an icon for his face .. I realy need it !!

  • Obviously some strong feelings here. But, wellll, its been made, so, as I see it, let everyone watch what they want to. I enjoyed Let Me In immensely, just was in the right mood for a quirky horror I guess. If you are a big fan of the original, cool, share info and see if you can inspire others to see it... for myself, I'll just enjoy what I run into and try not to run down someone elses work.

  • lets just say it this way ...

    the original has more "owwwww"

the american remake has more "awwwwwww"

  • why everyone's wearing bags???

    wtf???

Here is greece you see boobs in cinemas and asses no bags......only skirts...;)

  • This film was very good almost frame for frame just like the original an amasing remake.i injoyed this version alot more 10/10 jumped into my top 3 vampire films of all time.

  • This film was very good almost frame for frame just like the original an amasing remake.

  • Was Christopher Lee in the movie?

  • Bah this was one of the best horro movies ever made. Of course there was a dumbass coming out of the theater saying "omg I wasted my time with this crappy movie where hardly anything happened!" and I say you're a waste of life.

  • In germany we dub. which is also just STUPID and lazy -.-

you'll get used to reading subs, just give it a try.

  • Damnit people. This has nothing to do with freakin subtitles. I'm tired of owning people's faces here, so listen up.

Both movies were adapted from the novel. That's it. No remakes. No such thing.

Both movies were co-written by John ajvide lindquist.

Both movies were approved at the same time, one just entered production before the other did.

It has nothing to do with subtitles, or originals, or any of that made up shit.

    Get it right.

  • @Multi80sguy still americans can't be content with foreign movies, even if they are good. hollywood always has to film another version just to prove they have more money.

  • @LioBitachie Believe it or not, Hollywood is not America. The intelligent masses may seem like a silent minority to you, but you're being as daft and careless as we're portrayed to be if you think Hollywood has the slightest notion of what we want.

  • @Multi80sguy Then let Europe remake Lord of The Rings, or Slumdog Millionaire, or Gone With The Wind. They will be based on the respective books anyway. And why, then, would they want to adapt something that has already been adapted so recently if not to sell it remade, without the 'annoying' subtitles? Cinema shouldn't be about competition between different visions of the same subject.

  • Comment removed

  • My dvd's not just subtitled,it's dubbed,so to say it was just subtitled is a lie. Also I think it's cool to do remakes. Most of the time.American's change the filming style, along with little things like hair color, and add some more action, and gore.I don't think the director wanted to disrespect the original director,or the original film.Atleast that's how it was with the movie the Eye,and to me it's cool to see the extras, and the different filming styles. So it gives you a different take on it.

  • haha shes 13 god get ur facts right people lol

  • pause at 0:50 she looks terrified!!!!

  • the first 10 Seconds

fucking bitch - idears stealing its only what they can

(i know she must say that bacause it was some order from the director)

  • I love let the right one in. I havn't seen let me in though.

  • i wish people wouldnt cater for the stupid minority (or majority, which ever it is these days) of america

if the vast amount of viewers in america cant read subtitles then they need a serious smack of reality

    HOLLYWOOD SUCKS

i mean did any of you see Avatar? i mean really?

  • i dont like gloverfield..

    and i LOVED the original!

dont think thats going to be very good..

but i love your show :D

  • the orignal was way better

  • i thought that it was a great movie and remake of "let the right one in"

  • I'm from Sweden and I've read the book and watched the original film, which is nothing like the book.

It's not like I really liked the book, but does anyone know if the new movie goes with it or not?

  • @SpringOffspring

No - it also strays from the book and its subplots. Essentially it is a "darker" version of the original Sweedish film. I do not mean that its bad, in fact I like both about the same, but the American version seems to try to emphasize the Vampire's actions more and the Romance less. Again, not that thats bad, but thats the main distinction.

  • while i dont see any difference in both movies as far as quality. there was one thing in the new version i liked i dont want to say what it was, but it was something owen sees in abby's house on a table. for me that one tiny detail added a look to the distant future of things to come. it also made me question if abby is manipulating the boy or does she really love him.

  • @infinityplus0ne yess i saw that too....i think shes manipulating

  • She's not very cute because she's actually a HE.

  • @VihccvIvisun no, by saying she wasn't a girl, she just meant she was a vampire, and not a human.

  • @SkidRo123 No, Its really a boy in the book.

  • @SkidRo123

Nope, 'she' is a castrated little boy. This is strongly hinted at in the Original film, slightly hinted at in the new version and we are flat out told in the book.

  • Awesome shirt! :)

  • Chloe Moritz! WOOO!

  • Let Me In was freaking awesome loved it. Im gonna go rent the original in a bit. im now a Fan of the kids in Let me in =)

  • I really wan't to see the original, I never minded subtitles, but it really annoys me when they change the dilouge

  • I have an English dubbed version of let the right one in. Unfortunately I had to download it without buying it. If I see a copy anywhere I will be sure to buy it.

  • @keegansillaf buy it off amazon, :)and quick you owe it to the makers right :)

  • the girl was in kick-ass & zomieland

  • @TheMortega09 ...zombieland... really?

  • @TheMortega09 she wasnt in zombie land that was abigail breslin

  • I still haven't seen Let me In, but Let the Right One In was pretty kick ass. (=

  • She interviewed the dumbest people. This movie was pretty good. I think it was great suspense and semi-horror movie. Everyone even acted well. Kind gruesome, but still enjoyable.

Hit Girl will soon become It Girl if she keeps up the good acting.

  • i give it a 10/10, i wouldnt change a thing about it, but i regret that i didnt see the original first.

  • Dumbed down is right. The Reeves version is boring, cliched and tedious (although the lead actor playing Owen isn't bad). The soundtrack is annoying and dervative. The Swedish version is a masterpiece about loneliness, gender and addiction and one of the most beautifully shot films of the past 10 years. No comparison deserved.
