  • Hexibase could you or someone else please tell me were I need to go too fill out the form to build me an enclosure for my 2 12's? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

  • @kicker1508 check the description, its the pwk designs website.

  • the intro was preetty damn funny

  • I'd like to know what brand/model silacone you used on the doors. Is there anything in particular to look for on silacone? I've seen that there are many types, but don't know which is best fr the door. I would think that maybe some kitchen/bath silacone stuff would be good since it's water resistant, but would like to know what you think. thanks

  • Yea I don't like any flex outside my vehicles either I want as little as possible which equals better sound displacement when the stage speakers are in the correct angles and powered just right :) just how Steve says it is what I am aiming for

  • i love your videos man.. i cant wait to see my subscription updates for your stuff... what software do you show during your imagine video (I6SW)

  • "now i summon a chick with big boobies... mo0ther fker" priceless!

  • what r thoses dd 1508s or dd3512s what subs

  • Lower your blade, man. Jesus :P

  • just gotta love it at 2:44

  • how do you go about designing t-line enclosure? how do you go about figuring out the length and the angle of the 'dividers' inside the box?

  • mm, i love "open" type of sound, its similar to when monitoring music using monitors.

  • who are douch bags ? lol

  • nicce video.....

  • ohhh my god you sir are a genius that box is gorgeous the whole install is perfect to the last screw and hole wow......

  • I'm seriously considering a roadtrip that has you giving me a demo as a stop. If Steve and you love the result so much already, How much a difference to you think the new amp will make on the experience? Or will that be mainly for demo'ing and such? It's crazy but I can't wait to see demo vids for how much the car WON'T flex :)

  • Why couldn't I just drive down there and have you two do a full build for me!? Oh right, I remember, don't have enough Money lol!

Your work is awesome Hexi, I have no doubt that I'd most likely wet my pants if I ever had the honor of listening to your setup.

  • @joestl314 its a 9100 with a z series motor

  • Am I the only one who would pay to shadow this guy during the design process and installation. I'm pretty knowledgeable about car audio but these guys are true experts. Much to learn I still have. >-<

  • @joestl314 You're never truly done learning. I know I'm not :-)

  • @HexiBase What type of subs are those? 3000 watts per sub? That's quite a bit.

  • @joestl314 i belive they are the dd z series one hell of a sub..

  • @HexiBase hey what kind of stereo is it possible to have in a triumph gt6

  • @joestl314 There are plenty of knowledgeable people, it's just that not all of them put up youtube videos on a regular basis.

  • wow looks amazing bet it sounds nicer than anything on youtube!!! =D

  • @FxOxC Well, that's really subjective, but I did design it with sound quality in mind.

  • @HexiBase I know you are in to sound quality thats why i say that its not all about "tremendous bass" =D

  • Love the car prep. Inspiration for my next build. Thank you for this video. To bab im 21 hours away ! TylerTron21hoursaway !

  • @TylerTron21 21 hours at what speed?

  • @HexiBase The speed of Google Maps ! haha.

  • i summon a chick with big boobies motherfucker !!!

  • @toucandan8989 Yeah... Didn't work. Sooner or later, I'll just have to pay for one.

  • @HexiBase they have a lot of em on random corners haha

  • @HexiBase Just make sure she doesn't stay around too long. .then she becomes a wife and that just costs more...

  • well I deff wasn't expecting a tapered t line

  • @realmofexcursion Sounds almost like you had a design in mind and this contradicted it :-)

  • @HexiBase I've always had great results with dd's in abc boxes, I've never got to play with the z series though

  • been waiting on this vid for a while, good job.

  • @HitemWithTheFlex Thanks.

  • hell yea

  • Very nice enclosure indeed! Could I humbly request to see an computed impedance plot just for good measures? Kind of interested to see what the m4a is going up against. :D Not that I will make much out of it except perhaps the tuning of the box. (=lowest impedance..?) Which isn't really that interesting, but what the hell ;)

It's great to see someone doing Everything right from the beginning as an change. Keep up the awesome work!

  • @DTDahl There's really nothing about this enclosure's impedance profile that corresponds to any aspect of it's performance. It's essentially a flat line with a couple of narrow spikes, one around 27Hz and another around 49Hz.

  • i love it

  • @diegiz14 Thanks.

  • enclosure looks sweet to bad I gotta hear it through my crappy computer speakers and sub

  • @mrchrisk36 Yeah, there's really no substitute for just sitting in the car and listening to it.

  • Nice work =) Too much talk by that other guy :P But still, nice to see progress =)

  • @SpeedFreakNO Yep... Plenty of progress.

  • @SpeedFreakNO Too much talk? How much is too much? He answered a lot of would be questions or wonders with that info. Its all the pointless convo's about which brand is better or what db Joe Blow got with his preferred sub. He's conveying a mental image about a wide variety of specific characteristics. It'd be different if these were instructions on how to get the cap of the bottle of advil.

  • Da

    M

    good work dog

  • @zabb38 Thanks.

  • I know it'd leave the music without the bass from the sub stage, i was only asking so i can hear the potential of his front stage...

  • @subbinblazer You'd still hear the imaging and the clarity of the speakers with the subwoofers on. Don't know what made exo think turning off subwoofers is the way to listen to sq on speakers.

  • Pete whats the Frequency range of the enclosure?

  • @slyde83 It's fairly linear from the lower 20Hz region through to the upper 60Hz region.

  • so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so fucking clean. And DD audio, you cannot go wrong with them. I would love to hear that in person.

  • @pwND001 Come on down.

  • Demo videos, yay!

  • @atomdragon4 Yep. Got to do some of those now.

  • Super Steve is damn right, an all out excellent description to how quality bass should sound. I just came back from a jazz place i've been going to for about a year now, and that dry, full yet airy bass of an upright and the kick drum is still in my ears. Same as with quality dnb on the low end, SD, CV, TA, etc...

So far my fave upright sound is from a BagEnd hybrid box. Man that thing is like Muhammad Ali, with a touch like a butterfly and brutal force where it needs to be.

  • @BigSmartArmed Yeah, too bad fewer and fewer people care about sound quality. All they care about are things that have absolutely nothing to do with sound like flopping panels and numbers on the TermLAB. I'm actually surprised that no one has asked me to put that thing on the meter yet. Then again, I'd like to think that most of the people who visit my channel realize how irrelevant that is.

  • @HexiBase

Not just sound quality, it seems like quality as a concept is being phased out. Planned obsolescence vs. attention to detail. Even simple things that promote laziness, like using auto spell checker and instead of "insert" selecting "incest" (guilty). To me pro-car audio is an amazing feat. Understanding, and then noise-isolating a moving vehicle to such an extent that in essence it becomes an integral part of the entire sound system, all components of which are tailor fitted.

  • Damn i wanted to hear it, even though it wouldn't have the same in-person impact.

  • @two210 Yeah, listening to one set of speakers through another is kind of like watching a hologram on YouTube. Doesn't really work.

  • very nice enclosure. whats the tuning?

  • @SuBLiMeXGoLd There is no "tuning." It's a transmission line. There's just an operating bandwidth.

  • @HexiBase

oh, never built a transmission line before. whats the "operating bandwidth?"

  • Very nice, how about a video of just your front stage playing a track or two without the sub stage... thanks

  • @subbinblazer Why would you want him to turn off the subwoofers? That just leaves the sound with only treble and mids and may sound empty without the bass.

  • Beautiful work, as always.

  • @cardboardcat15 Thanks.

  • very nice box sir! one day ill be at a level of your magnitude

  • @Carmiel08 But where will I be then? :-)

  • @HexiBase maybe ill wait till you get old lol

  • Jesus that enclosure looks amazing. I love how much effort you put into.

  • @calvinblinkee Thank you.

  • Finally, an update!

  • @calvinblinkee Yep. Finally, an update.
