theres a MUCH easier way... just find something metal such as a key or knife and get it under the child lock and just use a little force and it pops right off.

how i did it was between the pin and the wheel thing and slide it out from the end closest to the button. I cant find mine so i hope its not sharp or anything lol

i did this and my flint and my metal piece surrounding everything but the gas button, came off. i know it can be fixed but what can i use as a substitute for the spring that held the flint

thats not the simple way.. all i do is put a sharp object under the child lock above the wheel and just push up and it pops off

I find the easiest way to do it is to just get the single blade from a pair of scissors (open em up), and then get under it from the side and pop it off, saves messing around where the gas comes out :)
