I like how the remastering made it look alot better, but I hope that the moron(s) who decided to replace the original exterior shots of the ship, planets etc. with cheesy computer animated video reminiscent of the Next Generation dies slowly from the Vulcan Death Grip, or at least a good kick in the balls. I have the entire 3rd season like this and it sucks in the worst way.
I would have liked to see more attention to detail with this remaster. Its the little things that got missed that could have really made this something special.Things like making the display screens on the bridge have new imagery on them relevant to each episode. Even Just covering up the screens that looks crinkled would have been a good start. Having the planet surfaces have some subtle back grounds to give the studio planets a bit of depth. Tyding up all the hand phasers shots etc...
i like what theyve done with the remastering so far, but i think they shouldve gone with a different company than CBS-D. enterprise had solid CGI work, and it really looks better than this. they shouldve gone with EdenFX, they already had the digital defiant model, plus they had 4 years of experience with enterprise. CBS-D seems like it's almost learning along the way.
google 'Defiant In A Mirror, Darkly CGI' and take a look, they got it right from the get-go
I agree I hope they do it again in the near future and make it look as good as it can be. I'll buy a new copy when they do that. CBS digital did a good job but it could have been so much better. They did learn along the way and didn't go back and correct the early CGI model they used that was poorly lit. Also there where things they could have done alot better if they where given more time and money. For example like the battle scenes in "The Ultimate Computer" thats was a wasted opportunity.
Lemme ask you this: would you trust the same people who originally cancelled the series (TOS)? Would you trust the people who ignored the franchise for years, prevented the creators from working on it, and shovel out garbage passing for Star Trek (Enterprise)?

waste of time, Paramont needs to re-hire the remaining living cast and do a new animated series.

back off, enterprise was wicked. yeah that last episode was a lil stoopid with the frakes in there, however.

Do you mean "remaster" or do you actually mean "restore"? There's a big difference. I thought the prints of the series were RESTORED a long time ago.

This is "Betamax" for the next century.
