  • i love how moffet whants to make the show really good

  • It's weird. I loved SM's writing in the RTD era, but in the SM era, I miss RTD. He turned the Daleks into power-rangers, introduced Mrs. Robinson (River Song) back, and failed miserably in series 6. He's funnier, but I don't get the same emotional connection that I did with RTD's character. I don't like Slut (Amy) or Mickey (Rory) or Mrs. Robinson. I like 11, but I loved 10 more. I'll never forgive Amy for kissing The Doctor. Hopefully the'll bring back RTD and SM to write 50th anniversary.

  • DON'T SHOW THE REGENERATION!!! DON'T DO THAT *cries*

  • I get that "David Who?" was meant as a cheeky joke, but... it wasn't really fitting, was it?

  • Moffat is terrible. He's turned Daleks into skittles, introduced the Mary Sue - River Song and is just trying to ignore everything that the fans have loved about the show since 2005.

  • @HappyBunny0023 An yet here your are. Watching Moffat content.

  • @MEareCat

during christopher's seasons, RTD tried to show how the doctor was after so many years of not having the show up anymore. And Chris, he showed the Doctor's dark side very well and probably, if he stayed longer, could have been the best doctor.

  • I don't like Steven Moffat's episodes, he makes it so boring and adds all kinds of weird stuff to the show, i didn't mind the Melody Pond stuff but in RTD's seasons, every episode was AMAZING. In Steven Moffat's seasons, there have to be like at least 4 stupid, boring, waste-o-time episodes. Bring back RTD!!!! I hope SM get's kicked off and I don't like Matt Smith so much. I also liked Christopher Eccleston and my favorite seasons were season 1 and 4. SM's the reason I don't watch this anymore.

  • I like RTD's version and Steven Moffat's version. Steven has epic writing with lots of twists but i miss RTD's version...it was sort of camp and didn't take itself too seriously. When i watch old episodes i miss how RTD did it

  • David who? DAVID WHO!? David Tennant was a FANTASTIC Doctor and my favorite...and first :)

  • bring back russell t davis

  • @hodgkinsonjames

    Yeah im agree with this!

I hate Moffat seriously DW isn't the same anymore

Russell T Davis is 100times better than the moff

  • @BlackCat622 moffat did not give us love and monsters. that along makes him better

  • I have watched Dr. Who since second doctor >>"David Who....?" He's the one who helped the show win all those TV & Sci-FI awards. When any person matches his success as the Doctor (aside from Tom & John) then you can say "David Who? Till then sweetie sit back and count the number of awards the show has won. ZERO.

  • Better yet, why not have the doctor fall in love with someone who DOES NOT return his feelings? All he does is hurt women and make them jealous over each other like some kind of heart breaker it's horrid. Being human means being rejected also, but the doc is the only one doing the rejecting and the only one they're all crying all over. Is he too cool to be turn down by someone or what? -_-

  • Steven Moffat keeps portraying the Doctor like a sex god- why do women keep chasing the Doctor? Isn't he brilliant enough w/out all these girls? Look at Tom Baker's doctor, he was the best and didn't even have a romantic interest. It's not that I mind the doc being paired up with anyone, but why are so* many* (Rose, Martha, that girl from Family of Blood, River Song and now Amy Pond tried to seduce him!) in such a short time? If you want to show his human side, that's not the way to do it!

  • @sakiguzman

    Hello? Romana?

  • @Dubzoomember Haven't seen much of the older series but now I will! I'd like to see a repeat of him being rejected. Since we always get repeats of him making women insecure and jealous.

  • @sakiguzman

Watch the Ribos Operation. Romana's exactly the sort of companion that would reject him.

  • @sakiguzman I'll Tell you why. Because Moffat is a Fucking Idiot who Cares more about the Shows 80% Girls with Hormones bumping up the Viewing Figures, rather than Making a Ground Breaking TV Show with Lastability, Like the Classics are. The New shit is just Eastenders with writing that doesn't add up. Moffat is a Shit writer who relies solely on Twists & Surprises, because he's so shit at doing any of the things the Classics did without even trying. And Now, a Pregnant Companion? What a Cunt!!

  • I LOVE MATT!

  • "David who?" ouch....I mean, I love Matt but ouch!!! Maybe a little too early in the grieving process...or just ever???

  • ...and THAT is exactly why Tom Baker and David Tennant will always be the best Doctors... because, for them, it was more than "just a job". It was a privilege.

  • You can't compare David's Doctor with Matt's Doctor, they have completely different personalities. The 10th Doc is solemn and seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. His eyes show everything that he's been through, all the experience of life and tragedy. The 10th Doc finds it harder to let go of his past and his friends. The 11th Doc is the happy go luck sort. He is young, cheerful and full of enthusiasm and energy. Matt's Doc takes everything in stride and hasn't cried...

  • Matt Smith, in my opinion, is the best Doctor. He is magical in his portrayal of the character, and has really got me interested in the show. The "David who?" comment was absolutely disgusting though. What a bitch. David Tennant was incredible as The Doctor. He is a phenomenal actor, and really he is the one that made the show as popular as it is today (Eccleston was a bit average imo)

  • @MEareCAT I agree with completely everything you said. Go Matt!!!! But David was great too.

  • The "David who?" comment pissed me off. As much as I love Matt Smith and think he's a GREAT Doctor, David Tennant was AMAZING and will always be my favorite Doctor. His brilliance was the reason the show grew to such popularity, and just because he left, it doesn't mean you have to forget that he played the role. Loving Matt Smith as the Doctor does not equate to having to view David's amazing portrayal of the same character as mediocre or sub-par.

  • @QuiteIgnorant indeed and the that works both ways.

  • That woman better be combining "David Tennant" and "Doctor Who" when she says 'David who', I swear ^.0

  • I absoloutely love the fairy tale motif, it re-invented the tone of the show in a way I didn't predict. The new series overall is fantastic in my book.

  • my best freinds dad

  • Some Episodes In the Series 5 Like Amy Choice has got nothing do Doctor Who and It Is boring. David Tennant and Russel T Davies were Great!!!!

  • @Luxayan so one bad episode (not saying that that episode was bad) and that's all it takes to like David and Russel T Davies more?

  • @Luxayan You liked Blink, correct?

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. Yeeeeeessssss. It goes so quickly!

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. It goes so quickly!

  • i have been very dissapointed in steven moffat, i thought that he would go back to doctor whos hard core sci fi origins but, i was shocked to learn he thinks of doctor who as a fairy tale (Facepalm) doctor who is sci fi drama/adventure series not a fairy tale or fantasy series. to make things worse for series six he is going to follow the writing pattern of russel t davies i just want to cry. LAWRENCE MILES PLEASE GET ON THE DOCTOR WHO WRITING STAFF!

  • @doctorw2 Thats what i've been tryin to tell ppl all this time but they dnt listen!

I mean the fairytale thin was nice at first but now its becoming a bit much.

And is he really gunna do that at series six OH MY GOD WHAT HAS THIS GUY DONE!?

will there ever be a writer who understands what doctor who is really about?

But as long as Amy leaves or dies in series six i'll worship the guy.

  • @PerlaB4 actualy series six looks very good, i love matt smith so much that i can even watch the worst episode of doctor who and still enjoy it if matts in it (I.e the last christmas special god it was horrid but matts acting compensated for a delirious storyline) my dream writing/producer executives for doctor who would be P.J hammond, terrance dicks, and lawrence miles we would really get some great sci fi stories with them in charge nothing would be on the wonk.

  • @doctorw2

Lawrence Miles? Seriously? I think that guy's been exiled for a long time and gone insane. He'd never work for the Moff, though.

  • @Dubzoomember yes i know, he despises steven moffat but, the thing is i dont understand why they both have the same writing ideas and style. i dont understand why lawrence miles hates matt smith as the doctor maybe becuase mr miles likes his doctors to be a lot more serious which is fine becuase even though matt smith is my most favorite doctor he needs to tone down the sillyness a notch.

  • @doctorw2

It's not just that he hates Moffat's work, it's that he hates Moffat himself. Miles seems to be a horrible man who spews bile at everything he sees. Moffat seems to be a genuinley nice, friendly man. It kind of shows that Miles is an ex-Doctor Who Novelist and Moffat is in charge of the whole show. Maybe he's just jealous. Or insane. Or both.

  • "David Who?"

I could slap her. 10th Doctor was MY Doctor.

  • @SubarashiiTsuma I don't think she cares.

  • David WHO indeed. Onwards and upwards

  • @AsylumArchives

    I agree

  • Expections were high? Why were they. Its Doctor Who. Every single Doctor has been amazing Lezo u twat. Matt had nothing to prove other then just being himslef. Hes his own Doctor and just like David is doing his own thing amazingly.

  • April Pearson The Next Companion Please.

  • David Who?

    ... YOU EVIL BITCH!!!

no I joke but still that's a bit harsh

  • "David Who?"

    haha harsh, man

    I LOVE STEVEN MOFFAT

    GENIUSSSS!!

  • @junkyintel

...except steve didn't write that episode. and i just cant understand you disliking the weeping angels two-parter, because it included moffat's two greatest creations.

the weeping angels, and river song.

Blink, and the Library episodes were easily the best (in most people's opinions) written episodes of their respective series, and sure the angle/river two-parter might not have striked us as well as they did in their original episodes, but hey....

    ...at least it's no RTD.

  • @junkyintel

Russel T Davies does have amazing concepts and ideas but his episodes ALWAYS spiral out of control, become stupid (TimeLords want to destroy everything) and have some shitty 2 minute Deus Ex conclusion.

Steven Moffat is an amazing writter. His episodes can be on a much smaller scale than "ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AGAIN" and make you care a whole lot more for a few characters you don't even know well. He adds brilliant twists and makes the episode just so much more enjoyable.

  • SILURIANS!!!!!

  • i dont like the new theme tune but matt smith and karen gillan are brillant matt smith does remind me of a old fashioned doctor and there is nothing wrong with that but he is so funny

  • The 'scary statues' are called THE WEEPING ANGELS! GET IT RIGHT!

  • I think they do have good chemistry bu that Amy is a tad over confident in her early appearances. The Eleventh Hour was the best ep of series 5. God what a world we live in. WOLRD PREMIERS. Premiers in New York. would Bary letts, Johnathan Nathan Turner, EVER have dreamed it would ever be this big. I mean it was big back in the day but it had a very different international dimension

  • i like how Doctor Who is serious business in England where as something like

Star Trek or Firefly in America is just considered a geek cult following and gets no real respect.

  • david ftw .......... this guy FTL!!!! fire him

  • I can't believe what she just said!!!! I wanna punch her ..David will always be MY Doctor , the one who made me fall in love with the show..it hurt so much when he regenerated ;( but I agree with Steven a bit..the thing he said about getting to know him again and he's is a stranger now...but I'm still gonna watch this show :):) how can I not?? :P

  • I think matt smith is very good. we all thought david wouldn't be as good as christopher eccleston but he was way better. i think matt has made a good first impression.

  • @zpwner11 Matt made a BRILLIANT 1st impression

  • Jeez they can't just throw in 10's regeneration like that willy-nilly! Nearly made me bloody cry! "David Who?" You bitch.

Having said that I am extremely excited for this series! XD

  • oh no. she did not. just say. David who. i'm about to reach through this computer screen and---okay. sorry. got a little carried away there. lol. no i'm super psyched about matt smith....but am i the only one who kind of thinks steven moffat would make a good doctor?? lolol. either way...come on series 5!!

  • watching David regenerate hurt... but Matt Smith is cool from what i've seen!

  • Oh, I WANT TO SEE THAT EPISODE SO BADLY... From what 've heard, both Eleven and Amy kick some Serious ass...

  • I like mccoy and smith

  • David who? thts kind of a horrible thing to say seeing as he was an amazing doctor! and so was Eccleston

  • @enniseed

I totally agree with you. I am a bit insulted that that woman dare say " David who?" David Tennant was brilliant! Make no mistake about that. And I am just writing this to say that I am glad you are (seemingly) in agreement with me.

  • i wanted to see the weather with alex :( lol

  • who is the female news anchor? she's HOT!!!

  • haha, yea. lol ;D

  • this is gona be the best cus what i have seen of matt smith in doctor who so far looks totaly awsome

  • good point... but that may not be enough to be called an army ... but cool thinking

  • Big shoes to fill? really? The same big shoes that 10 wonderful actors filled b4 Matt? God I hate Lezo. As for keeping up the high standerds of RTD scripts what high standerd? You mean Love and Monsters? Boom Town? Gridlock? and worst of all Planet of the Dead. Ohh yeah how can you do better then them Moffat after all not like his Doctor Who stroys r any good lol

  • Your going to laugh at this one I'm sure...

THE HAPPINESS PATROL is one of my fav episodes of all time.

Wish they'd do it again; with a new series budget, and outdoor shoots ( dark alleys painted pink ).

  • David is my favorite Doctor but I love all of them and I honestly think Matt has a shot at giving David Tennant a run for his money in my book. As for everyone else's favorite Doctors it doesn't matter at all to me who your favorite Doctor is, because I believe all of them deserve their own special little cults.

I'm not sure if I've ever been as excited for Doctor Who season in my life and Matt I can tell will be absolutely amazing!

  • Silurians and Sea Devils are real!

Please don't laugh at this one but my fav doc is

    Syl McCoy.

  • McCoy was awesome! I actually applaud his fans. He's such a hated Doctor for reasons I can't understand.

  • People are stupid, that's why

  • McCoy was awesome and my fave classic Doc!

  • It's a shame that McCoy's Doctor Who part was shunned. Indeed he was a great actor for it. I think it's because Doctor Who was becoming very unpopular at this time and McCoy sadly got most of the hate.

  • @wikiwikiju

Yes, I liked Sylvester McCoy too. Not that I got to see him in his time. But I am playing catch up by watching all the dvds, and I like Sylvester McCoy very much. I can't understand, either why no one will recognize Mr. McCoy's awesome-ness. And also, I am just writing to say I am glad to see you are agreeing with me about Sylvester's brilliant performance. Thank you, by the way, for that.

  • @wikiwikiju McCoy hated?? I dont think so, I think youll find you mean Colin Baker

  • I really like Mcoy, But my favirote doctor was peter davidson. i loved all of his episodes and his companions, teagan, nyssa etc...

  • lol the Silurians look like Trandoshans from Star Wars. haha

  • Love Matt and moffatt have faith in the future

  • ahahahaha! With the captions on this goes from exciting to absolutely hilarious

    (ick they are so politics-centred!)

  • Newscasters warn of flash photography? Does that mean the viewer will be eaten by the photographer? (Okay, they're clandestinely warning epileptics...)

  • over 20Mil, counting those outside the US and the UK who pirated the episode

  • I love Mr David in Doctor Who, but Matt does appear to be a bit more dynamic in his acting. I'm much more excited about Matt, than I was about David!

  • SILURIAN'S i thought they were dead.

  • Apparently these are evolved Silurians, which explains why they look like any number of generic space lizards instead of the unique look of the originals.

  • The Silurians were never actually destroyed in the old series. Though when they seemed to be destroyed in Peter Davidson's series that was in the future

  • David Who

u cow david might not be the doctor now but he will always be the best one on tv

  • @rabiyaofskittlez

Hartnell, Pertwee and Baker beg to differ.

  • silurians!

  • he kind of seems to be copying tennant in his style. im not sure about either of these too and amy pond? what a crappy name!

  • Feeling a little more confident now.

  • HOLY CRAP! as if they just showed a clip. That almost made me yell.

  • Haha Moffats fantastic! He could work in PR lol

  • looks nice :D

  • I hope the Rani returns.

  • mee too, i like the rani! :)

  • darleks are in the third episode and thats been in the can for a long time so if he is woeking on a darlek episode does that mean they return for the final episodes?

  • It's "Dalek" no "r". But I think you could be right, Matt said he was excited about seeing just ep 12 and I'm thinking the Steven Moffat has seen the same one, perhaps with Matt. Mentioning the Daleks in the same sentence, maybe they are in the last 2.

  • @floydian2007 no they can't be cos the daleks are only in the third episode the last two are probably the return of the cybermen instead

  • It'd be nice to have an original baddie in the finale rather than yet another return for one who's been there many times before.

  • @DomSezXL true but i'd like a classic monster back in the series

  • @DomSezXL I'd like a classic villain to be back in the series

  • *** Spoiler Alert ***

Well according to a rumor, the 12th episode is called "The Pandorica Opens" referring to Pandora's box, and it would make sense that somehow either the most dangerous creatures in the universe are contained in it including the Daleks, Cybermen ECT or they all just want the box.

  • What do you mean "David who?" Cheeky lady!!!

  • Don't feel so insulted. That's how most people are gonna feel when the new series is under way.

  • @Konyak0 LOL Maybe, maybe..... But right now, my heart still belongs to David. I'm very excited about the new doctor, I'm a massive Who fan but no one can deny he was the best Doctor of them all up to now. We shall see!!!

  • I can deny that he is the best Doctor. I prefer the 4th and the 5th over the 10th.

  • Konyak0 said: "I prefer the 4th and the 5th over the 10th"

So, you admit that it takes 2 other doctors to best the 10th...

    ha ha. gotcha.

  • I never said the 4th and 5th Doctor together

is better than the 10th. I said the 4th and 5th Doctor are better than the 10th.

  • Davison outdid Tennant in his sleep

  • @mineking1 in my opinion, tennant and moffat could have made an amazing doctor. but russel took the mick with tennant and was more serios with chris. 9nth is better.

  • I don't believe there's such a thing as a "best doctor" they all played different men The same man yes, but different, so It's a bit like apples and oranges really. I love them all, they all had great lines and great moments and Matt may have some of the best lines yet, with Moffat at the helm.

  • Tennant's Doctor was supposed to be a pure character who let his ego get in the way...there can be no happiness without a balance, Tennant didnt have one, so he came off as an unlikeable knob in some aspects, unless he was in a positive working environment with like-minded people

  • This also explains why his personality pivots dramatically in his last episodes. Since we were not used to seeing this side of the Doctor in a while, it was uncomfortable to watch.

  • @AngelsAckiz

It's very deniable, he might have ranked on top on many best Doctor-polls and even though he's one of my favourites (all of them are, really) he hasn't been THE best Doctor for everyone.

  • @AngelsAckiz

Nine is best for me. I like Ten well enough, but "best" is subjective and it's impossible to make an undeniable claim as to which Doctor is better than the others.
