I'm glad, he defeated Fujita. He has a huge potential....but I'd like to see this guy against Guram Gugenishvili, who is also 23-24 years old and who has fought 11 fights and won all of them(10 of them via submission). That would be a great fight, but i think, Guram is much stronger phisically...
He will become great fighter, because he has hell of a chin, hell of a heart and hell of a heavy punch. Fujita is not called "ironhead" for nothing, in his prime nobody was able to knock him out, even now, he is still very tough. Ivanov knocked him down twice, this was his first high-level fight. You can't just imagine how has he evolved for this year and a half from the Fujita fight. He trains in Las Vegas with Randy Couture and Vitor Belfort, and he won his debut in Bellator 38 via 1rd TKO,so?

Blagoi Ivanov is no joke, he is the current Kombat Sambo World Champ, and he beat Fedor in the Finals, is a big Bulgarian Slugger, with awesome Sambo skills, he needs to adapt his skills to mma and make a good transition, i hope to see Ivanov soon fighting again in mma.
Give him Mariusz Pudzianowski and see how he fares against him. He is probably too technical a fighter for Pudzian but KSW look to Sengoku and DEEP for good competitors. It could yet happen!
I recommend Sapp first for Pudzian's 3rd fight in KSW. He has even less stamina than the Dominator.

Well Fedor is 33-34 years old, I don't know, Ivanov is 22 years old he is very young and its normal for Fedor to have more titles I think. And they had 2 fights 1 for Fedor and 1 for Ivanov. Fujita was just about ready to receive the judges' gift, but thankfully the other two judges were more honest. Good fight, Blagoi's punching style is very reminiscent of Fedor's. It's a shame he broke both hands in the process.
He's a little wild when punching, but he comes from the exact same background as Fedor so no surprise there. I think he has the potential to be as good as Fedor. Hope his hands heal fine.
What other similarities is there other than he has a Sambo and Judo background? This guys seems to be much more of a stand and exchange puncher whereas I feel Fedor is much smoother. There is alot of guys with the same background as Fedor, but Fedor wins fight with his composure and intelligence.
Too true... Standing up and exchanging with "Iron Head" Fujita is not an intelligent thing to do.. especially when your strikes are not so precise. Be like hitting a rock really, punching fujita in the face.
I`m dissapointed from both fighters, this looks more like a training practise fight...Relatively weak boxing techniques, altgought a pure muscle fight, basic grappling, I`m sure both can do much more, and we wall saw was Blagoi is capable of, vs. Fedor Emelyanenko.
There was some nice clean hits on both sides but there was some sloppy ones also draw no fuckin way Ivanov controlled most of the fight and even dropped fujita breaking both his hands in the process lol fujita ant called iron head for nothing haha

Well Fedor is 33-34 years old, I don't know, Ivanov is 22 years old he is very young and its normal for Fedor to have more titles I think. And they had 2 fights 1 for Fedor and 1 for Ivanov. And show some respect to Ivanov he is not the best right now but he is still very young and everyting that he did in his career until now is very good.

Of course he ain't ready to fight against the big ones. And sure his trainer wont let him face them. He needs time.

Fujita was just about ready to receive the judges' gift, but thankfully the other two judges were more honest. Good fight, Blagoi's punching style is very reminiscent of Fedor's. It's a shame he broke both hands in the process.

He's a little wild when punching, but he comes from the exact same background as Fedor so no surprise there. I think he has the potential to be as good as Fedor. Hope his hands heal fine.

What other similarities is there other than he has a Sambo and Judo background? This guys seems to be much more of a stand and exchange puncher whereas I feel Fedor is much smoother. There is alot of guys with the same background as Fedor, but Fedor wins fight with his composure and intelligence.

Too true... Standing up and exchanging with "Iron Head" Fujita is not an intelligent thing to do.. especially when your strikes are not so precise. Be like hitting a rock really, punching fujita in the face.

I`m dissapointed from both fighters, this looks more like a training practise fight...Relatively weak boxing techniques, altgought a pure muscle fight, basic grappling, I`m sure both can do much more, and we wall saw was Blagoi is capable of, vs. Fedor Emelyanenko.

There was some nice clean hits on both sides but there was some sloppy ones also draw no fuckin way Ivanov controlled most of the fight and even dropped fujita breaking both his hands in the process lol fujita ant called iron head for nothing haha
