I keep reading people saying "Amy Sucks Live" and "She can't gold long notes" and "Amy Lee goes off tune a lot". Well, those people haven't seen any recent Amy Lee's performances.. she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LIVE these days!!!! She can hold SUUPER long notes without running out of air, or falling flat. She sings every note perfectly WHILE running and headbanging and spinning!!! she is like a Robot!!! Check out the concert they gave last year in the Grand Ballroom-OH and she is WAY Sexier too.
I think this group is awesome, you can sure tell who they are, great vocalist, and they sound great, their first record is so awesome, great driving music.
She reminds me a lot more of Cristina Scabbia rather than Amy Lee.
Burry Me Alive reminds me so much of Heaven's a lie, but that's probably the only song that is similar to any Lacuna Coil song.
And Going Under sounds so good, Amy Lee was great in the studio, and live too, but sometimes she sounded really really really bad live, and every time i hear WATF it just sounds amazing, Carly Smithson is good, really good.

Isn't Carly younger than Amy? That could have something to do with why Amy isn't too amazing live. And because Amy runs around soo much on stage. She sings good live, something that stands out with bands these days. I like this band. I like Evanescence too but Amy Lee can't hold her breath when singing live, she sounds terrible, but still an amazing artist in the studio.

I think Ben is doing a great job, it's not about the money, he has made plenty of money writting songs, "that's the Real money", Not performing the songs, but writting them. I thinks it's more about respect, and Amy chose the Lime-light over her band. I think Amy is Amazing, she's just spolied by the bright lights of FAME.

I wonder how it felt for the guys to play that song (especially Moody) after so long? Of course I'll always prefer this song with its original singer, but I actually don't mind Carly's vocals. However she'll always sound much better when singing the band's original songs :)
Though I may not agree with their choice to sing "Going Under", I can't deny the girl has talent. She has a powerful voice, just not the same range as Amy. I love Evanescence to death and own everything they've ever done, but I also like We Are the Fallen and have their CD too. It's just music. As long as they never do Evanescence music at their shows now they have a full album, then I have no problems with Carly and her new band.

Amy Lee is permitted because that is who Wind Up Records Inc. recognizes as Evanescence. If she were suddenly to go solo under another Label she would be in the same boat as Moody.

Hard choice...Carly is good and so far the stuff they've done shows that it was Ben who really was behind the "Evanescence Sound" that everyone liked and Amy's voice, as amazing as it is, was really just along for the ride. That said, I have to admit there is something oddly off putting with hearing Carly essentially channeling Amy when she sings.

Okay, what all you WATF haters should know is that the rights to Evanescence's songs do not go to Amy Lee. The band you see here wrote those songs (guitar, lyrics, drumlines etc.) and claimed rights to them. They can get WHOEVER they want to sing them because they own the songs. The fact is that they just needed someone else, but with the same vocal style, to continue singing those songs while coming up with new material at the same time.

I was also sceptical when I heard Carly was filling her spot, even though I was a Carly fan as well. I am very surprised to hear We Are Fallen sounds great! I still find it quite funny how people still comparing Carly to Amy. Or Oh, Amy's better than Carly or vise versa. Just say that theyre both good. We Are The Fallen have marked their spot. Though I may not agree with their choice to sing "Going Under", I can't deny the girl has talent. She has a powerful voice, just not the same range as Amy. I love Evanescence to death and own everything they've ever done, but I also like We Are the Fallen and have their CD too. It's just music. As long as they never do Evanescence music at their shows now they have a full album, then I have no problems with Carly and her new band.

Amy Lee is permitted because that is who Wind Up Records Inc. recognizes as Evanescence. If she were suddenly to go solo under another Label she would be in the same boat as Moody.

I am an Evanescence fan, but I am a fan of many bands and I think they sound good. No one can sound like Amy Lee but I think she did a good job trying. Hell I even sing there songs and pretty much that's what Carla is doing, she is covering the songs just like thousands of bands out there who do the same damn thing. Okay, what all you WATF haters should know is that the rights to Evanescence's songs do not go to Amy Lee. The band you see here wrote those songs (guitar, lyrics, drumlines etc.) and claimed rights to them. They can get WHOEVER they want to sing them because they own the songs. The fact is that they just needed someone else, but with the same vocal style, to continue singing those songs while coming up with new material at the same time.

Não sei pq essa comparação sem sentindo com o Evanescence. Quem entende de canto percebe muito facilmente que essa garota sabe cantar, coisa que a Amy Lee custou pra aprender. Essa vocalista aí entende que não precisar pular igual a macaco no palco pra cantar rock, ela entende que precisa preservar a respiração. Se querem comparar, comparem o canto dessa vocalista com a Amy em Anywhere but home. Nocaute. Amy no chinelo.
