  • Only a matter of time b4 The Equals are re-discovered.

This is what pop is all about.: catchy tune, talent...and LIVE!!

  • Baby not coming back... but PLEASE "Hold me closer", BEST B-Side, ever. Eddy Grant is a bigger one (Till I can`t take no more - Maxi....) is very RARE

  • LOVE this band to death!

I wish more folks were familiar with them. :)

  • great old track

    love it

  • The "BEST" night of my life was spent in the company of "the wonder guys". Ah...to bring back those days would be so wonderful...............

  • beatles drive my car/otis redding respect bass line

  • Is That JJ aka Jimmy Walker?

  • I saw them in the sixties at the Orford in Norwich....They were "GREAT" then ...and still hold dear memories for me

  • what a fun band! the way they dance while they play and sing reminds me of the specials

  • This was on the B side of Baby come back single and we did not listen to it for a while. Once, an idle play brought us back to reality and then on, oh repeated plays!

  • In the early eighties. this was the song my late dad danced in the sitting room with my mum reminising of their youth. whilst we kids looked on with delight. Brings tears to my eyes,

  • The early Equals might have been by the Stones cause Eddie Grant acts a bit like Mick Jagger on stage. Also, softly softly is some more evidence that the group might have been influenced by the Roling Stones.

  • @Suva1987

The singer is Derv Gordon (not Eddie Grant)!!!

Derv is still on tour with the EQUALS, but I think he`s the only one who was in the group in the 60s.

  • @Suva1987

I forgot: Eddie is the guitar player next to the drummer.

    Keep swinging!

  • God ...I love this song sooo much

  • dat was nog eens muziek waar men er zich kon op uitleven

  • This was the flip side of their Baby Come Back single, and just as stupendous. Love it!

  • I listen to this great vid every time I come onto youtube. I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Love it. Can't beat it.

  • My son-in-law gave me CD of their music and I love it ! Great cruising tunes - don't know why they never made it over here (USA).

  • Never take this vid off........I so love it

  • Love this song....reminds me of the Orford Norwich...college days..

  • That should, of course, have been schreklich!

  • Shreklich and I mean shreklich!

  • Istz das Musik oder ist das Musik!!!!???

    Es geht noch besser

  • This was the A-side of the single that made the B-side "Baby Come Back" their #1-hit. The first record I bought by the way. 1967 was the year and I was 10 :) I can't help it, I get nostagic...

  • Although this is almost just as good as 'Baby',...I miss the hyper screams from Eddy .,that made their first single so exciting.

  • I don't remember this song, though it sounds awfully similar to the iconic Baby Come Back, and nothing wrong with that.

  • This is he song I always play...I just LOVE it....the Equals were the greatest...and always will be.

  • i´ve allways been a big fan of the equals.

Thanks for the video.Regards from Spain.

  • I love it !!!!!!!!!!

  • einfachklase!!!

  • i love this song

    makes me wanna dance ;))

  • The equals were great. Made a great impression in the sixties. Never equaled...............and never forgotten

  • This is just so friggin' GOOD! It just makes you wanna groove immediately! Man this was uploaded in Dec. of '07, it needs more views so pass this along to yer friends and show 'em how REAL musicians do it!

  • Have you seen them live? They are such great preformers....The best at the time!!!!!!

  • Bring back the Orford...Norwich.....1967...They were GREAT....ty boys

  • Eddy Grant was the lead singer and writer of the songs.

  • That´s absolutely wrong. Eddy Grant is the Bass Guitar Player. He never sang a song for the Equals.

Not till his career as a solo-artist, he sang his own songs.

  • minimadalison (1 second ago) Marked Thank you - I stand corrected. I knew I should have checked that thoroughly because even as I was writing it I was not 100% sure because I could not, in my head, put the solo Eddie Grant to the singer of the Equals (but thought he was if you see what I mean). Brilliant though - I still have the very very scratched 45 and never tire of the wonderful energy and beat of this great song.

  • Yes rascal211 but Baby Come Back was brilliant so 2 brilliant songs - what is the problem?

  • I have a question: Which member is Eddy Grant?

  • I'm not sure................

  • GRAND SUCCES DISCO AVEC BABY COME BACK,incontournable les equals a cette époque!

souvent ; mais je suis plus "pretty things" ,jetro tull" ,jefferson airplane, ten years after, pur groupes anglo-saxon; quel age as tu

jean luc ,please ,t'y etais en 68 ?

  • it sucks that you can't see lincoln in any of this - poor guys out of the frame :(

  • Still love it ...

  • Great song with a soca beat.

  • Soca? I hear no soca? Are youlistening to the same tune?

  • These guys are great!
