one can one say...this is too brilliant, with such loving attention to detail. such care taken. check out the video by the happy lads for hurdy gurdy man, equally as brilliant, and funny!
this is very obviously a parody and I think it's great. Look at the descriptionof theband...hahahaha "The Happy Lads" so funny....great job of catchng the spirit of the times. Everyone knows the Byrds really did this. Duh.
really......only a true child of the sixties could of pulled this great visual off... i was there.. i saw easy rider's first showing ..and came out ot that theatre so mad at rednecks i cant tell.
and this is one of the byrd's greatest tunes..among so many they did so well.
Oh I'd rather go and journey Where the diamond crescent's glowing and Run across the valley Beneath the sacred mountain And Wander through the forest Where the trees have leaves of prisms And break the light in colors That no-one knows the names of And when it's time I'll go and wait Beside a legendary fountain Till I see your form reflected In it's clear and jeweled waters And if you think I'm ready You may lead me to the chasm Where the rivers of our vision Flow into one
I think bobmon54 needs a good healthy mouthful of fresh dog poop to bend his mind right. This video rocks... except for the stoned guy who can't remember the words.
This is genius. What used Cadillac salesman lent you his moustache? Like Redford in Butch and Sundance. A real food-sweeper! And who's the stoned guy in the vest who doesn't know the words?
With bands like this out there, who needs MTV? Although I suspect strange forces are afoot here... wormholes to 1966 and what not. It's almost as if they live right next to Jim Morrison's old crib.... nah, that's impossible.

Great rendition -- almost looks authentic (The VW Bus is a great touch), Song by Carol King, as seen in Easy Rider.
In the end she will surely know, I wasn't born to follow.

I will watch her dive beneath
The white cascading waters
She may beg she may plead
She may argue with her logic
And then mention all the things I'll lose
That really have no value
In the end she will surely know
I wasn't born to follow

WTF! Is this some lame Spinal tap type crap- The Byrds are singing this- it's a goofy video- liars- goof balls-spaceballs testicle licking dogs.
bobmon54 4 years ago
Exactly so.
The video's well, a moderately clever spoof, but conning what its about is pretty facile.
