There seems to be a problem at present: I got a mild warning about copyright status. This video has been blocked in Germany because of that. I would really hate to remove the audio track from this vid, since it really seems to fit it. Maybe I can contact Sony and see if they'll let me use it.
What a powerful video. Thank you for sharing this with me. I hope that with the parties, cookouts, etc. that we take the time to remember those died so we can enjoy cookouts and parties. Saving Private Ryan is one of my favorites movies, and cried at the end when Tom Hanks died.
Good on you, and thank you for your service!! *high five* I'm so glad you liked this. I really enjoyed making it. Thanks for your comment and rating! ^__^
Wow!! Mouselady, thank you so very much for that awesome and most loving tribute to all the veterans in this country :D Ya really honoured your family very nice!!
Thanks for sharing your video with me. I love the music and you did a really nice job. Here's to hoping that the troops come home safe, sound, and SOON....
You're very welcome, and thank you for your kind comments! :) We have a family friend who's over in Iraq (or Afghanistan?), and let's hope they all come home safe.
thanks alot for making this video my great grandfather was in ww1, grandfather was in ww2, uncle in vietnam, two uncles in gulf war, and i have a cousin currently in afghanistan it means soo much 2 me that ppl reconize the bravery and sacrifice of our serviceman. One day is surly not enough 2 thank them. Veterans day and memorial day is every day in the eyes of some ppl
Amen to that. I know people have so often questioned the morality of war, especially the last few we've been involved with (including now). But however we may feel, we still owe a debt of gratitude to those who gave their lives for this country. We've got so much to gripe about these days, but thank God and thank our troops that we still HAVE the freedom to gripe. ;)
Thanks for your kind comments, and for sending me your video. God Bless America!
Thanks, Charjune sweetie! I really enjoyed making this one. I hope to do something else like this, with the old photos (but hopefully with some public domain music *sweatdrop* ).
Thank you so much, hon! This video was a real labor of love for me. (You're the very first person to leave a comment on here, but I hope there'll be others soon.)
I really love "Hymn to the Fallen" from SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, and it just seemed so appropriate. :)

That was sad. And to think so many of those men died just to save that one...no wonder he said at the end, "Earn this".
I'm kind of celebrating Memorial Day quietly...I think I'll just kick back and watch war movies or something.
