  • redhead is a bitch.

  • maybe its due to the fact that in the arab world al-j' is well known and respected while in israel its that "pro arabs chanal" no one watch.

the differences between the israelis and the pale' r just so ridiculous. makes me think maybe al-j' did that intentionally....

    pity could have been interesting...

but any ways these two pale' girls look good... that emmal and especially diana damnnn....

i hope that peace will come in my days so finally we will be able to make some love not only war.....

  • im an israeli and im sorry to say they got totally smashed, i dont know if they picked these guys from the st or what, they were no match to the well prepared pale' side.

it only made the pale' more frustrated to hear the lack of knowledge and ignorence that came from the israeli side. if al-j' really wanted to create a serious debate where two sides can express themselves they should have picked the israelis in the same way it looks they picked the pale'....

  • The impostors who hold the technology to maintain the upper hand do so feeling entitled to murder at their whim, justifying their atrocity encouraged by other caucasians who supply them with the war technology affirming that those with the biggest gun make the rules-mean while atrocity after atrocity committed against Palestinians calling them terrorist for defending them selves-americans justify these war crimes financially & vocally ,Full knowing it is wrong, refusing to admit this is evil

  • Very interesting how so called jews are attempting to use a biblical premise as to why they are stealing that land ? While simultaneously ignoring tbiblical fact that authentic Ju's are not supposed to be there being expelled by Yahweh !! The person there now are claiming to be jews a play on words -They are indeed impostors -They are europeans caucasians who are stealing land being it is suggested or thought to be Holy - Mean while they murder Palestinians who simply attempt self defense !!!!

  • hundreds of Palestines killed everyday?! thats propoganda on a grand scale.

  • The scarfed woman is particularly troubling. She's essentially ushering in Palestinian terrorism to outbid Israeli terrorism. This is precisely the wrong message since the oppressed Palestinians have the moral high ground ready for the taking. She should be primed to explicitly condemn the terrorists on their side REGARDLESS of what Israel does to them. That's not submission. That's a moral superiority that exposes Israel by asking, if we can condemn our terrorists, why won't you condemn yours?

  • @PurushaDesa Well said! I completely agree that terrorism directed again civilians is self-defeating and should be abandoned. Hopefully other strategies will bring freedom and justice to the Palestinian cause in the future..

  • @andycle

Cheers. But not easy. Ever since YouTube got rid of threaded comments and made us include the recipient's name, that 500 character count just became even less forgiving when trying to make a point.

  • I don't know who chose these Israeli students for this show but I think they did a very, very poor job, they where unconfidence , didn't know much about the subject and basically said nothing . Unfortunately the Palestinian side was much, much better and they won this debate by a long shut.

  • @srv779 I aggree 1. y they attacked israel in 1948 when Jordan plus 50% of west Palastine (2day Israel) was given 2 them?

    2. y do they support terror against civilians that according 2 international law is by all means

3 y don't they see Jordan who is a plastinian state who gives eveyone of them civilianship as their homeland although it is part of the Land of Israel but we gave already it 2 them

4 y the palastinains in gaza ofter the Israelis left don't recognize Israel

  • @srv779 I noticed that too, the Palestinian side was alot more prepared and 5 out of the 7 Palestinians had a much richer vocabulary in the english language. The Israeli side was not prepared and the best spoken english of the group was a kippah wearing indvidual who for obvious reasons will have a more extremist point of view then the rest of the Israelies.

Al Jazeera tv is the 180 degrees equivelent of Fox News, which is totally unbalanced and unfair.

  • @DH2020 Although I agree that the Palestinian side came off better, it seems like sour grapes to accuse Al-Jazeera of hand picking better prepared Palestinian speakers, and then because of that unsubstantiated fact, to claim that they are 'totally unbalanced and unfair.' Perhaps you should blame the Israeli participants who possibly could have revised further. The actual structure and chairing of the debate was extremely fair. The chair split the time evenly and talked little.

  • But if the answer is no than there is nothing to talk about. If the answer is no than there will be no peace, unless you mean the Arab version of peace – kick all the Jews into the sea, "finish Hitler's job" as the Palestinians said. If the answer is no than no more talks, this "discussion" is pointless, we can only fight, and I will fight each and everyone that denies my country's right to exist. And we will win.

  • If the answer is yes, than good! We can talk about occupation and check points and Camp David and the 67' war and "my father came from Gaza and my mom came from the west bank but I studied in the U.S " blah blah blah blah, we can go over the Palestinian lies about 48' and about Gaza and all of their other lies.

  • ? Forget about the 67' territories, we all know that Arabs don't give a flying fuck about the 67' territories, it is the 48' territories which they really want. But do you even recognize the right of the jews to a state in Israel, including the law of return, which means you giving up you're right of return into Israel.

  • Forget about the 67' territories, we all know that Arabs don't give a flying fuck about the 67' territories, it is the 48' territories which they really want. But do you even recognize the right of the jews to a state in Israel, including the law of return, which means you giving up you're right of return into Israel.

  • I think this whole mambo-jumbo is pointless. It's pointless because they only briefly touch the question which is the core of the subject. They should have asked the Palestinian side, do you, as Palestinians, accept the concept of a Jewish state in Israel?

  • "Personally, I don't condone terrorism as you define it 'attacking civilians'". That pretty much sums it up. I wish the Israelis would of brought up Hamas and Hezbollah. How can a debate between these two sides not touch on the terrorist group that runs the Strip? Notice how not one of the Palestinians were opposed to terrorism?

  • It's true that many Palestinains want an Islamic State. Many Jews want the state of Israel to be a halakhic or religious state. But the vast majority of palestinians-even HAMAS supporters-want a Democratic secular state. Type in JMCC on google to get the poll data on palestinan aspirations.

  • Palestinians want an Islamic nation of Palestine. Then they want right of return to Israel, where they will multiply quickly and take over Israel politically, turn it into an Islamic nation and join it with Palestine. And Jews can be citizens in the Islamic republic of Palestine. As second class citizens. Palestinian people are so full of shit. I want to vomit every time one of them talks.

  • @IBeatUpThugs Most palestinians want a secular state. But based on your argument: If oppression and injustice are the only ways to protect the Jewish state does it deserve to exist ?

  • @ribchwi I'm sorry but I have nothing to say to you really. Like most terrorist-supporters all you do is say oppression, occupation, injustice and emotionally charged words over and over. You never attempt to prove the validity of any of them, and just assume those things to be true. You have no thoughts behind your empty rhetoric. Palestinians could all live like kings, if their Arab brothers wanted it. You can't plead poverty, when they are kept in poverty by their own people as a con game.

  • bad representation of the Jewish side :(

  • theyre not civillians if they have guns 7:50 stupid

  • this is the stupidesed and most simple minded response I know... EVERY time ANYBODY gives a good arrgument in support of Israel, a palastinian or pro-palastinian would rise and cry PROPOGANDA!!!!! grow up and think of something original!

  • the guy with the green jacket is brainwashed

  • The redhead has nothing going on in between her ears.

  • When will it end?

  • I think that redhead girl thinks she is in a beauty contest. OHHHHH GODDDDDD STUPIDITYYYYYY has no limitssss

  • the reason why Israel claims to "support living alongside Palestinians in a 2-state solution" is because establishing a 2-state solution is, itself, a lop-sided victory for Israel and grand theft of Palestine---Israel officially keeps 70-80% of an entire region that was previously Palestinian, while the Palestinians get Gaza and West Bank, which are small, very lousy pieces of land. Also, Israel keeps it's ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS in the West Bank.

    and Israel calls this "peace".

  • @fahimh lop-sided victory? grand theft of palestine?

the palestinians so far refused all of the following:

1937 peel commission - 20% of the land for jews, 80% for palestinians

1948 partition plan - 60% for jews, 40% for palestinians

1979 sadat and begin's autonomy plan

2000 camp david summit - palestinians get 95% of west bank + half of jerusalem + 100% gaza + 5% israel

they have been making historic mistakes for seventy years now, and there is a price for historic mistakes..

  • historically unbiased, in retrospect, in hindsight, this conflict started specifically when the British had promised both palestinian arabs and the jewish people the same land. understand that it began with the british, it was their fault and the rest is history. neither side is completely justified in any action, and even though i may side with one, nothing has really gone right because both sides have done their fair share of detrimental actions. BLAME GOES TO THE BRITISH

  • Israelis in the video didn't study the conflict even. If you read right-wing Zionist historians like Benny Morris, they clearly state that Zionists intended from the very beginning to expel the indigenous population and put discriminatory practices into motion. The hypocritic stance of Israelis is despicable. There's a unique situation where some loud-mouthed Jewish immigrant from New York has more rights then people who've lived in Palestine for generations.

  • israel still isnt for peace.

  • israel has never been for peace.

  • Two words to describe what Isreal is doing to the palestinians: WAR CRIMES

isreal is a TERRORIST state and any induvidual with a mental capacity of over the the age of 3 can see that. period.

  • I wonder if that guy is alive now (the one speaking in the beginning) after the ZioNazis rampaged through Gaza...

God be w/ the Palestinians. Fuck IsraHell.

  • In 1873, Shah of Persia Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar met with British Jewish leaders, including Sir Moses Montefiore, during his journey to Europe. At that time, the Persian king suggested that the Jews buy land and establish a state for the Jewish people

  • realy?

would you cite that for me?

  • the israeli redhead is a fkn idiot.

    .

  • The Israeli's on this panel are so brainwashed it makes me want to cry. One of the reasons I want to believe there is a god is so that when these people die god can tell them how brainwashed & ignorant they were their entire lives.

  • In some ways, I agree with you. The Israeli panel does make me want to cry. However, I disagree with you as to why. The Israeli panel demonstrates a complete lack of preparation and knowledge. They in no way present any credible argument for the Israeli side. The Palestinian delegation is far more prepared, and they are eloquent and effective in their ability to appear 'in the right'. Unfortunately, eloquence does not necessarily entail correctness.

  • The fact remains that there is no 'objective' truth to be told about the conflict's origins in the 1948 civil war, after Israel was granted state recognition by the UN. The Palestinians on the panel make very bothersome claims that are a detriment to resolution by claiming that the way to peace is recognizing historical fact. Historical fact is hazy in this case, and will absolutely never be agreed upon by both sides. In the case of the palestinian diaspora in 1948/49 (the refugees, and

  • the right of return), the 'true' history actually shows that the motivation for the Palestinian flight from their homes was varied depending on the stages of the war. In some cases, the Israeli army did force citizens to leave their homes. In others, Palestinians fled before Israeli forces reached their towns. In further others, Israeli armies actually requested Palestinians stay.

Claiming 'historical fact' that Israelis forced Palestinians out of their homes is blatantly false.

  • Also, the Palestinian panel making claims to UN resolutions that Israel has not followed through upon is ridiculous. Foregoing the issue of UN incompetence, both Palestinians and neighboring Arab states as well as Israel have failed to adhere to UN resolutions repeatedly. True, Israel has not allowed for the Palestinian 'right of return', as mandated in UN GA Resolution 194. But the PLO, Hamas, and (historicaly) surrounding Arab nations have failed to recognize Israel's existence as a state, as

  • legitimized and mandated by UN GA Resolution 181.

Listen, my point here is that the truth is far more complex than it is made out to be by either side. In this conflict, there is no verifiable history, only subjective narratives. While neither side will ever agree with the other narrative, it is necessary that both sides RECOGNIZE them, and recognize that the truth is subjective.

So my overall message in terms of this video is this: to the Palestinian panel, stop acting like

  • there is an objective historical truth, that the Palestinians have done no wrong, and that Israel is a demonic, propaganda state that feigns democracy. Israel is by no means a complete, liberal democracy, but, other than Turkey, it is the ONLY real democracy in the ME. How can Palestinians deface Israel's democracy when they have such a sham democracy of their own in Gaza with the Hamas. ACCEPT, that your version of history is subjective, as is theirs, and look towards the future, not the past.

  • To the Israeli Panel:

First of all, smarten up. You're embarrassing yourselves and offering no valid representation for a good argument in defense of Israel. Secondly, (to Israelis in general), try to understand the tragic history of the Palestinians, and see recognize their narrative as well as your own.

Finally, I do not believe I am fundamentally biased. I believe that both sides are equally to blame when examining the whole history of the conflict. However, I do believe that Israel is

  • looking for peace through a two-state solution, and the Palestinians need to embrace this effort at peace. It can only be accomplished by both sides of the table willing to cooperate. This cannot happen under Hamas government. The terrorism needs to stop. Immediately. Israel should as much as possible to limit civilian casualties, but nations ARE justified by international law to respond militarily if rockets are shot at them. Try telling the US that it doesn't have the right to respond to rocke

  • ts shot onto its territory, just because the response would not be 'proportionate'. Sorry, but I call bullshit.

Anyway, try to put the past aside and work towards a peace agreement now. Israel is here, and it is not going anywhere, no matter what Iran tells you. Nothing will be resolved if the process continues to be driven by such self-righteous, irreconcilable narratives.

  • this is true what you are saying, the holocaust was a horible thing, but the jews and zionists are using this to justify anthing they want they used this to do the same thing to another group of people; the palestinians

  • and by the way i totally support the palestinian's right to fire rockets into israel... just like we dropped bombs on german civilians in WW2

  • total propaganda out of the israeli side

  • LOL. Israel should have been created in Germany, as it is the germans who killed them en mass. Do you think the germans would tolerate such a jewish state withing their lands?

  • khaled is so intelligent and well spoken. pleasure hearing him talking with such clarity amongst all this insanity

  • well that went nowhere. I hate debates.

  • at least its better than biased groups and websites (both sides) where people just reach a position which they all agree on and ignore the other side.

  • true. I guess i wish we could find some common ground and stop this.

  • I forgot to mention chapter 36 as well. Sorry about that guys.... :D

  • If you want to know what's going to happen...... Go to profeth Ezekiel Chapters 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 and you'll see......

Is not a matter of what I want or what you want... You muslim people want profesy... Hthere's one fot you guys !!! Very soon.... Good luck.... c..... ya !!!

    (8) And I will bring you into the land concerning which I lifted up My hand and swore that I would give it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage. I am the Lord [you have the pledge of My changeless omnipotence and faithfulness].

    (6) Accordingly, say to the Israelites, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from their bondage, and I will rescue you with an outstretched arm [with special and vigorous action] and by mighty acts of judgment.

  • Exodus 6 : 2 - 8

    (2) And God said to Moses, I am the Lord.

    (3) I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty [El-Shaddai], but by My name the Lord [Yahweh--the redemptive name of God] I did not make Myself known to them [in acts and great miracles].

    (4) I have also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their temporary residence in which they were strangers.

  • according to bible, israel is belong to jews and no matter what the jews have the right to live in that land

i think, as a non jew, israel is already treated palestinian so fairly

    i support israel forever!!

  • who told you that "Isreal" belogs to the Jews !!! the bible never said that befor ! .. pls tell me where did the bible says that .. dont think racially

  • if u're a christian and if u're really really read the bible then u know what i've already said is true

God has promised that canaan/palestine land was given to His choosen people israel

  • God have promised the holy land to sons of Abraham .. and not to the "His chosen people israel " .. why you dont read well !

and what about Jewish people who became Christians/Muslims or even atheist !

the problem is in the Racist Blind thinking of both sides !

  • The only Israeli on the forum who knows what he's talking about is Moshe. The promoters weren't looking to make a good debate.

  • and that is that before the Oslo accord, YOU* NEVER ACCEPTED ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO EXIST ON ANY PART OF THIS LAND, YOU WANTED TO THROW THE JEWS TO THE SEA - and you said that out loud.

So don't cry now about how miserable you are and how israel occupied land and stop you exaggerations ("Israel kills hundreds of palestinians EVERY DAY"?! ) and historical fabrications.

  • Hell you had all your precious "occupied territories" then. You even had east Jerusalm. Why did you attck us then? Why did Naser threatened to wipe out Israel then? why did he close the Suez cannal? why didn't the Syrians shoot and kibutznikim working their fields in the Galilee and so on? because of a simple reason...

  • I don't understand why the most important question hasn't been put to the Palestinians - why did Jordanian, syrians and egyptian contunially attack Israel (armed terrorists from Jordan, Bombing of The kibutzim and towns in the Galilee etc.) BEFORE 1967??...

  • no problem in Egypt and Jordanian occupation of Gaza and West Bank, no UN resolutions, no UK academic boy-cots, no Arab anger at this, no Palestinian intefida no Palestinian people I suppose, I say no to the so called two state, they didnt want it in 1948 they hate Israel and therefore they should live in exile , all other global refugees assimilate in there nations Palestinians in Jordan, Egypt, Syria w.e fight against each other and live like rats and for what?

  • Lol Moshe is an idiot. Look at my hands they tell you how Israel is "democratic". Sure you want to use the Arabs inside Israel as proof but their not. Just look at what happen in 8.5.2008.

Anyway great summary. Their aint going to be peace if the Palestinians don't return to their home. Never.

If there is no peace it would explode, and escalate and become worser for Israel (thats what they want i guess). and what was once the Army of Israel would disappear (IDF military state not country)

  • The Palestinians are missing the bigger picture. That Zionism was a response to the Jews being killed wherever they went. When they talk about percentages of land and people, and how that made it unfair, they don't seem to grasp the concept that the Jewish people have one tiny land on Earth. In contrast to numerous Muslim countries

  • I certainly don't agree with all of the choices of the Israeli government and military, but I agree. For them, enough is enough, and they are willing to take many measures to protect themselves.

The Palestinians are unaware of the fact that they are pawns, and many supporters of Palestine do not understand that if Israel disappeared, the Islamic world would be in the same unrest, poor conditions and aggression.

In fact, the Palestinians may be worse off.

  • " We are willing to live in peace along with the Palestinians" but we continue to build settlement in west bank. What a sickness!

  • Religion, indoktrination and culture. All the killing in the name of god and cultures that haven't developed far enough because religion has been stopping development. The clan-culture is very dangerous that is common in those parts.

  • which parts..?

  • Arab/muslim parts.

  • dkhead...

  • Why?

  • i forgot why?????????????????

  • how insulting these jews are.. are you capable of self-rule??! what are they infants!

    israel is a terrorist state.

  • both sides are killing innocent people. israel is less willing to admit their real role in the conflict which is not operating in the name of democracy. the holocaust industry is in full effect.

  • israel sounds like a golden palace!! the home of the chosen people!! can we all go and move in and have peace of mind?

  • I like it. endless war!

  • The hateful comments below show that palestinians are not ready to run their own country.

  • and you are?

  • Run my own country? Hmm... why not?

  • was that relpy directed to me?

i don'tget the context ,of what you mean

  • No It was to freejazzfree.

Apparently when I point out errors in all religions ALL of them feel singled out. Like "why are you attacking muslims, are you a jew-lover?" when I'm actually against ALL religion. That shows how religious indoctrination works.

  • ok.but this is far from being about religion..

  • Not for me.

  • and what is it about for you?

  • i dont think that you have the ability to determine whos filled with hate considering your continuing attach on muslims here on youtube. grow up.

  • What attack? When?

I debate about religion. I'm an atheist, I don't believe in a god. I point out errors in the quran and in the bible. You call that an attack? Then you know nothing about debate. That's why religious fail in debates. No logic. Read a book.

  • First of all I have to thank aljazeera for this program, that showed the TRUTH without any fake cover, Palestinian are welling and seeking peace; the REAL Peace..not the fake israeli one.

Palestinians are kicked out of their land, been killed since 1948 till now..so they have the right to fight back ACCORDING TO INTER'L LAWS!

so if the other side is welling and seeking peace -which i doubut-; they should respect the U.N laws and Geieva agreement, after then the'll be allowed to mention PEACE!!

  • isreal is an illegitimate state.

hopefully future generations wont have to pay for that states failures.

    justice and peace.

  • Unfortunately watching this debate between young Israelis and Palestinians left me with a feeling that peace in our region is a unreachable dream. A peace can not be achieved between to sides who are only focusing on their suffering and that are trying to prove that they are the victims. The only panel member who noticed it was Omer who said that trying to justify the actions of one's own people is not the way to achieve an agreement.

  • how the hell are the isreali (non-arab ones) victims.like was said, one is the opressor, the other the oppressed.

  • The palestinian group was clearly the better informed. The Israeli group reminds me of the typical arrogance and detachment that afflicts us Americans.

Not that they are bad people, but they are the product of propganda and don't understand the impact of the their country's policies.

  • I must say that you are true. I have been studying the conflict for years without bias now and hearing the Israeli students shows me how a propaganda machine can churn out well suited followers. Clearly the Palestinian side had their facts straight. They are not bad people but are people who intend to believe what they are told like most of us around the world

  • I just think that the Palestinian girls look wayyyy nicer than the israeli B!tCheS

  • I think the truth is you liked the palestinian boys!

  • LOL The Israeli got pawned... Its hard to defend there views when it is them that is doing the occupation and murdering the innocent civilians. The Israeli became worst than the Nazi........

  • If all of the Israeli is in the military, how can any rocket target civilians?

  • Oh thats wrong, they aren't in uniform when they're walking their kids to school now are they.

  • who the people of gaza ..brikkk?

  • lol I love how that Moshe guy said that Israel's basic laws allow for freedom of religion. Can he explain then, why it is illegal Christians and Muslims to marry each other?

  • Very compelling debate. Thanks AJE!

  • excellent program, im really impressed with this

  • not one sensible argument from tel aviv

  • "Israelis" = white man;

    Isreal = USA

    Palestinians = "native Americans"

    Palestine = native american reservations

  • al jazeera has become a one sided news channel, more specificly a arab muslim sided news channel. i used to take what they say seriously, now i dont anymore, too much one sided coverage makes me sick!

  • paranoia speaking there..israelis were presetn

  • How was this in any way one-sided? Both panels were given equal opportunity to speak!

  • why have Al Jazeera put a pro-Palestinian on the Israeli side of the debate?

  • because he is allowed to have his view as "israel is a pluralist democracy" hahahahhaahaha

  • Exactly. And they don't have a Israeli on the Palestinian side because there are no Israelis on the Palestinian side.

  • because israelis do NOT live in palestine and i u watched the interview carefully u would have noticed that no israelis want to be in palestine for security reasons and also they r showing a microcosm of both societies

  • If they are using the sides to show a micro-cosm of life reflecting the two societies than they should have put one of the Israeli settlers on the Palestinian side of the debate.

  • they are illegal bastards like the state of israel

  • There are, they are called settlers.

  • Totally lopsided. The Israelis barely had the ability to speak infront of the camera let alone recite historical facts.

I think they just grabbed any Israeli (with the exception of the one Arab)they could find on the street who would actually agree to debate while the Palestinians lined or competed with eachother for the opportunity.

  • I agree that it seemed like AlJazeera was biased, but I think that the Israelis had opportunities to cite historical facts and didn't, or if they did they were incorrect. I do agree that the Palestinians were given more time.

  • A great interview/debate.

    Spread it around.

  • Palestineans kicked ass....

  • There will be no peace and please do not fool yourself into thinking dialogue will get you anywhere.
