dosent look like much oil is escaping to me, according to my calculation the flow rate isn't that much of a big deal. at 30 miles be hour. it would take years of oil escaping for it to have a large impact on the gulf. this crisis is just rich people trying to gain total control on our resources by making it an end of the world event and usher in the carbon tax and cap and trade.

Obviously all cleaning efforts should be in the hands of BP. And yes, the gov. is half the blame. Its all for greed and power. The government should have first and foremost, had their mind on its people and its environment. 80+ days is a preposterous length of time to let this soil our oceans. I have lost all faith in the people running the corporations and the gov.

@3leggedfrog WSJ reported today there is a Moratorium placed on drilling until November. This gives the government enough time time to make decisions like that.
