In the first episode of the first season Niles offered to pay for a full time health-care provider. But subsequently it seems like Frasier ended up being the one paying. Like when he said he was paying Daphne too much when she said she's saved 4k in this episode. Just wondering if this is a careless discrepancy on the part of the writers. Hmm...
Has anyone else noticed how much older Roz looks in the earlier seasons and how much younger she looks in the later seasons? I'm talking about her skin/face (not hair color, eyebrows, fashion, etc).
I think she has had some serious botox or really good plastic surgery. I mean I love her either way, but it's just something I noticed.
@pat8977 She changed completely. Eyebrow lift, eyelid tuck, work on her jawline/chin. I believe they moved her hairline back, too.
Look at Jane in later seasons. No more Manchester accent, and hair as slick as some Rio supermodel. Stupid.
Why do the producers/network do this to their female stars? So the male viewer can get his little jolt of excitement because Jane and Peri look different.
In other words, the male viewer can get his rocks off.
@g9yx1s You're so right. It's terrible. The ridiculous pressure that actresses face to look attractive for male viewers is disturbing. Especially because it trickles down to the female viewing audience. These bizarre standards of beauty for women are at the core of why we have anorexic 12 year olds. Very sad.
the wit in this show never ceases to amaze me.. when Fraiser is spent and says i feel like a carcassed zebra in the serengetti surrounded by burping vultures...lol, i wonder how someone would respond if we actually said that in a day to day conversation, or if they would even get the metaphor...lol.. cheers haha..
@MrTracythomas1 I've always thought Roz Doyle was one of the most complex female characters on a 90s/millennium sitcom - she was this very strong independent woman who enjoy sex and a good career who was at heart still the small town Wisconsin girl determined to be a good mother for Alice...we need more Roz's !!
martin was really nasty to frasier at the end. i don't think he appreciates what he's got, living at Frasier's. how many old people get to live in a penthouse with their successful children?
@PRINCEMISHKEN I never liked her mannerisms (the woman who played phoebe) and find that no matter what role she's in, she has that gawky, awkward gate that makes her look like some hangers-on from the 60s. Perry Gilpin (sp) is fantastic. She was spot on the entire run of the show.
@PRINCEMISHKEN: Lisa Kudrow is too cute-sy to play Roz. She was a good Phoebe, but not good in other roles. I don't care for her in Web Therapy at all.
Daphne and Martin: Can't help but love them. Daphne really cares about Martin and his health. Martin: Well who isn't stubborn about doing a daily routine once in a while. He cares for her, too. "QUACK!!"
@kathrynphillips84 each caller on his radio show is a celebrity or musician and they feature them at the end of every season.. u cant always recognize them.. the only celebrity ive ever recognized is Reba, for obvious reasons.
Oh how I wish I was as quick witted as frasier and Niles

Roz's stories would have went well had she been talking to Daphne. Daphne always has a story in England to match all sorts of situations.

The irony is that Eddie is the only being that doesn't share his problems, and yet Frasier doesn't like him.
