  • Lol thats cute

  • I had an idea. Toys for beardies, so they can run around and chase it and stuff.

  • is he in ur bath cuz if its not thats a huge sink

  • Ohhh she/he is very nice! :)

  • I gave my juvenile a bath today and when she pooped it made a mess! Rather than just being a piece or two of feces that I could easily scoop out, it broke up and went everywhere! Is there a way to stop this, because I tried scooping it up pretty quick but it made a mess!

  • that beardie is healthy i can tell and this is just to cute it looks very healthly this guy/girl takes good care of it :)

  • Look at that BELLY! :D

  • that nigger drowning

  • lol

  • I know they puff out in water but i think it's so funny how chubby he looks X3

  • ive bathed mine once how many timies should i bath them ??

  • @mjdude100 should be atleast 2-3 times a week but i bath mine ever other day

  • @Rampage19867 you should only bath them ones a week because it will cause the dragon to get diaria which leads sadly to death! PLEASE dont kill him...... :(

  • Hey! That's aswum! But did you have to teach him to swim? Mine won't move in the water he won't even walk! So do you have any tips?

  • Thats So Funney LOL :)

  • I got beardia tea and rex tea1 in a half rex 1in tow couters

  • Aww he's so cute!

  • Im guessing u feed ur dragon to much meal worms and super worms because it looks overweight. Crickets and salads are most healthy for bearded dragons but u need to give it mesl worms at least 3 times a week to maintain a healthy diet

  • @TuffLuckTityFuck i think the lizard looks fine.

  • @TuffLuckTityFuck its not overweight. beardies bloat themselves when you put them in the water so they look really big but they arent. just helps them swim

  • @TuffLuckTityFuck that size is normal ? is puffed out... mine does that sometimes. :)

  • Why is it so fat dude it looks like a cane toad

  • swimming for the win tell him/her i said wat up homie

  • wow, ur beardie got body

  • they say you should let them in the water for a littel will to let there body accumulate water that they might not be getting it just lets them get better hydraded.

  • Thats one little alligator...XD

  • he is cute! we should put ours in the tub. we only put him in the sink.

  • boody coote :3

  • lol hes kinda chubby

  • do they like swimming/walking in water even if they are not shredding there skin?

  • they will actually swim if the water is deep enough, when I bathe mine I put a large rock in too for them to go onto and they choose to swim in the slightly deeper water where they cant stand and will do a lap of the tub swimming with their legs backwards and paddling with their tail like croc/gators etc do.

And don't people start complaining that this is tight because it is not, they swim in the deep bit of their own choice, I love my lizards not abuse them like some ppl on YT!!

  • haha looks funny cause he's fat

  • Not sure if it's ok or not but as a heads up people at petco usually don't know what they ate talking about I've found better setvice and knowledge at petsmart

  • is it okay to do that? cause i went to a pet store Petco and this guy said not to do that cause in the desert they dont find water and swim in it. tell me whose right.

  • @seunghun3 Never listen 2 Petco / Petsmart employees! Im not saying none of them no what they r talkin about but get ur info from books, internet and ppl with experience. Use many sources. I don't own lizards (just like watching/learning about them) but i own fish and i made that mistake. I was told a pleco, 2 african cichlids and a molly were ok together in a 10 gallon tank. The cichlids killed the molly, then one killed the other. And i eventually had to buy a 125 gal tank 4 my 11 inch pleco

  • so sweet and happy

  • one time i cought a horn toad or something when i lived in newmexico and found out it was indangered and that i could be arrested for having one it was a sad day.

  • He's fat, but cute, I bet ur feeding him mealworms or waxworms, all the time, well if u are, try feeding him more crickets, than mealworms, once a week u should give him some mealworms, mealworms are like candy to these lizards, and any geckos.

  • Hes fat :) what do you feed him?

  • actualy beirdies CAN swim! but i woukdent recoment putting them in water over theyre head

  • shit in ya bathtub i saw that

  • So it's good for them?

Can you do it for leopard geckos as well?

  • @DannyPowellRulez wouldn't recommend it.

  • chunky man :) cute

  • What a gimp looking lizard. Lol!

  • is ur water heated?

  • awesome beardy i wish i could have one

  • Crocodile style. ;)

  • He's precious!

  • Cute :D

  • Looks like hes having fun. (:

  • how much did he cost with all his stuff?

  • awsume vid check out mine plz

  • i love these animals their fun to have as pets. i had my for about 10 years. he was way fatter lol.

  • my bearded dragons swim underwater no lie. i fill the tub i put them in all the way up. they go under and fill themselves with air to paddle on the surface. these are very intelligent animals. i will post videos of mine. ive never done that.

  • if that beardie really wanted out of the bath it would of been freaking out trying to get up the side this one looks like its having a blast in the water n it looks like the dragon is in no harm its not in any deep water where it could drown it can stand in it if it wanted to.

  • all these ridiculous flaming arguments about whether Bearded Dragons like water or not could be ended by just putting the dragon on a box at one end of the bath, such that it is able to get from the box to the water and back again, then it could choose.

  • swim fatty swimm!

  • pretty good size male looks to be bout 3 or 4

  • woaah little fatty :)

  • @666Yanco WTF are you talking about? Half the peeps here clearly stated that it's good for the beardies to bath like such. If it's safe and better for the lizard, wtf should you care if it's uncomfortable or not (wich it didn't really look that uncomfortable to me). What, you think a lizards going to know better about it's own welfare than the breeders and owners who care for it? I don't think so. Stop being such a wuss, it's an animal.

  • @dennisj86 yeah, or why not try freezing water and flashing light, that might help too....how fuckin stupid .....

  • how stupid you people are...usa i guess? he's not enjoing himself, the poor lizard is tryin to get out of there, how comfortable do you think it's for him walkin on a surface that is absolutely alien to him? nothing to get a grip on...he lives in deserts you stupid cow.....you wanna bath something bath your granny...

  • @666yanco fuck you bearded like water a lil mine swims on his own

  • @kanya5 yeah ,to a dickhead like you probably seems dragon tryin not to drown like one enjoying swimmin.......do your dragon a favour and give him to someone who knows how to take care of him.

  • cool my beareded drogon can swin to

  • salamanders like to swim. X)

  • @shwan59 lol i like that lol

  • I've been doing lots of research on beardies lately (internet, books, asking experts, etc so I know I'm getting the best variety of information there is) and just about everyone says to bathe about once a week like this. Explain to me biologically or chemically how something would begin to dissolve in water after 30 minutes, because frankly I think you're full of sh*t...

  • the reason you give your bearded dragon a bath is because it makes their shedding alot faster and well "smoother". The old skin falls of ALOT faster if you bathe them. And if you dont there is a chance bits of skin will not fall of and get stuck between their toes and will make it harder for them to climb and such.

  • Comment removed

  • @ConPassioneDolce i have a beardie he's 3 and he's been in the bath for over 30 mins and hasn't "dissolved" lmao...baths help in the shedding process and if it turns into a regimen you can get them to poop for easy clean up!

  • rub'a dub dub

  • seems he like it

  • cool bearded dragon man

  • bearded dragons just like b***h im free

  • Oh lol and also, Ember has NEVER pooped in the bath, is this normal?

  • One time I put Ember (beardie) in her bath, but the water was too deep. She got really scared but was swimming under water. Did she like it or was she panicking?

  • Correction: "does NOT know.."

  • my beardie runs for a while and then does a gigantic poo...

  • XD That's funny. I love reptiles. :D

  • dont put you guys bearies in the water it makes there skin smell bad.

i look up stuff 4 heath care and lots of ppl seid that if get them wet thay small bad

  • You're right, you're supposed to mist them instead of actually bathing them.

  • Plz help. My beardie hates being in the water. He always tries to get out. What should I do...

  • some just cant stand it. esp when they are young.

dont fill it enough for him to float in just fill it a lil and let him soak till he gets used to it.

and be rdy for them to poop.

  • @MeaganMoo

do not put him in bath again becoz he hates it... most beardies love water but remember every animal (inclucing humans and bearded dragons!) are different

  • lol. Mine hates it too. He always freaks out. However, you might make sure the temp of the water is alright and not too hot or cold.

  • i need help whenever i put my beardy on water he poops A LOT.what is the cause of this and what should i do

  • The warm water and exercise helps get their digestive system moving. It's a good thing. Our beardie won't poop in his cage but wants a bath or to go on a walk about.

  • drain the water and refill. warm water triggers their bowels to move. its a great treatment to keep their digestive track flowing and clearing possible sand impactions.

  • they can swim very well ! like a snake

  • They can swim...

  • looks like hes having a good time in there... lol

  • Beardies are desert animals, native to Australia. What are you talking about?

This is the first time I've seen anything of a beardie swimming - most that I know hate water.

  • @AleakimOkibi My beardie hates her bath time

  • @JAHOGproductions lol Mine too!

But by now I have seen some dragons who somewhat enjoy water, or at least don't seem to mind it, sooo...I guess it just depends on 'who' you ask. :)

  • @AleakimOkibi Well you know..every once in a while they need a BATH!

  • @AleakimOkibi no they dont i thought this too but if you ask some people on youtube are experts you have to bath them 1 a month!!!!

  • @mikaboom123

I bathe my dragon once a week, and never once said anything against bathing dragons. I merely said that my own disliked them. I co-own a forum for the care of bearded dragons at Beerdies.webs.com, if you'd like to take a look. It is still in the process of rebuilding after a small set back, but it is very helpful for any owners seeking more information on their reptiles, and will soon be back full-swing.

  • @AleakimOkibi yea sry i wanted to write 1 in 2 weelks anyway i do no t own 1 but i really want one bad :) if you could sell me 1 i would give you 40 euros (4 a baby )i am from Greece

  • @mikaboom123

If you want one specifically from me, you would have to wait another year when my girl comes into season. Then you'd have to wait at least another six months for the eggs to be laid, hatched, and the hatchlings slightly matured. 40 euros is about $51 USD, and the average going price for dragons in my area is $70 USD. It costs me roughly $80 USD to raise a hatchling to six weeks, when it becomes legal for me to sell.

    (next comment, out of room...)

  • @mikaboom123

So, to save us both a headache, I will keep you in mind and contact you when I have hatchlings to sell. If you already have a dragon by then, so be it. I would not mind selling for 40 euros, if you proved you had a proper set up and knowledge of these creatures. I will not sell to a bad home.

  • @AleakimOkibi man i have learnt everything about these beautiful creature s and i will buy it a really big and nice home!

  • @AleakimOkibi thanks

  • @luckityduckity

    ...Hello. You're welcome.

Why are you thanking me? :) Hehe, sorry.

  • @AleakimOkibi umm i forgot XD

  • @luckityduckity

XD OK then. Do you have a dragon, or are you thinking about getting one?

  • @AleakimOkibi its good for them. it helps them go to the bathroom and shed. you should soak a dragon about twice a week.

  • @frostfoxgirl

Next time try reading all my comments. I "never once said anything against bathing dragons. I merely said that my own disliked them. I co-own the forum Beerdies.webs.com, ..."

It is annoys me when people keep correcting old comments.

And you can soak them once a week, only need to soak twice if shedding or other reason. Mine bathes once a week and drinks from the faucet almost every day. So cute! I took her water bowl out because it raised humidity too much.

  • @AleakimOkibi not true

  • @phoebejoeyspikelynn

    What is?

  • @AleakimOkibi just because they're native to australia doesn't mean they don't love water, mine absolutely loved water, i had both pogona vitticeps and pogona henrylawsonis. it also helps them shed their skin, maybe your beardies didn't like water but they definitely don't hate water!

  • @phoebejoeyspikelynn

    ugh.

My dragon -hates- her water in bath-time form. I guarantee it, and there is no fix.

I never said that "Because these animals are from Australia, they ALL HATE WATER OF ALL FORMS." I did not say it! It just happens that my dragon does hate baths, as well as my sister's. "Most that I know hate water" <- I knew three, at the time.

Figures that people had to + the most vague comment I've made here, so others will notice and disagree with it...

  • is he actually swimming or is it shallow enough for him to walk on the bottom? will they drown if it is too deep?

  • He's not actually swimming, I never put water that deep, bearded dragons aren't meant for swimming. He's just running back and forth but it definitely looks like swimming!

  • thanks ^^ and yes i does really look like swimming xD

  • @melissad2 plz help me!!! i put mine in the tub to get him to poo and his tail/beard, well only tip of tail, turned black, is he going to die? will he loose his pretty little tail

  • @DrewGalvin calm down man bearded dragons turn their beards black just to show dominance, probably a coincidence that you placed the lizard in the tub at that time, hope he's well

  • @DrewGalvin calm down man bearded dragons turn their beards black just to show dominance, probably a coincidence that you placed the lizard in the tub at that time, hope he's well

  • @DrewGalvin your dragon isn't going to loose his tail, his beard and tail turnng black means that he's mad, when my beardie gets mad his body turns black from the tip of his bottom jaw all the way past his vent. You have to remember that some beardies don't enjoy baths but they still need them to help with shedding and to stay hydrated.

  • @melissad2

they actually can swim. I put mine in the tub and he swam under water and was actually pretty good at it! but he wasn't a fan, so we stick to shallow baths.

  • @mariaecouri They can inhale water if you let them do that, be careful of this, always up to their chest, that's it.

  • @GTAtomten No they wont drown, as long as you dont put them in for too long so they dont get tired. They can swim at any depth

  • @lilchrisluvva Well, Thanks then =)

  • @GTAtomten they will swim....but alwasy keep an eye on it make sure it can get to the top edge of the container so it doesnt have to swim forever

  • I want one of those...he's cute

  • hes so chubby!!

  • Adorable!!!!

  • thats so cute. he's enjoying himself! hey do you put warm water in there or does it really matter. i'm guessing cause he's a reptile he bathes in warm water... am i misled?

  • ur correct bro lol

  • He's a fatty!

  • @voltage588 i agree

  • 2 cute :)

  • this is soo adorable!!

  • Cute

  • Comment removed

  • dumbass, bearded dragons in captivity are supposed to have baths maybe every third day. it helps them stay hydrated retard and they def. dont hate it. mine loves it

  • Comment removed

  • hey you seem to know more than most about bearded dragons. im currently designing and building a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft viv for my first dragon and was debating making a large (roughly 6") pool for him. is this too big or about right?? and how deep would you recommend making it? please wb

  • @DJG1987 yeah, she puts up vid of torturing lizard in the bath tub and for you that means she knows more than most.....and where did you get the information that bearded dragons need a pool ? get some proper info you moron or fuckin buy a dog

  • @666yanco suck my dick u fuckin faggot. i hardly class this vid as torture, if u do u ar clearly a limp dick pussy. i got the information that they require a pool (to fucking drink from) from my basic understanding or the biology of reptiles. dragon+water=life. dragon+no water=death. CUNT.

  • I'm getting a 6 week old citrus colored Bearded Dragon on Saturday, I am excited they seem like cool creatures ;D

  • wtf my two males wont swim, they refuse too, they just fall asleep in the water. i swear i got the laziest ones ever.

  • LOL

  • what sort of temperature does the water have to be for giving thems baths?

i dont want to make it to hot or cold for my beardy

  • warm but not hot the temperature you would bathe a baby in

  • like between 35/40 degrease?

  • to the point where it wont scald it alive

  • if it is warm on your elboy it will be fine

  • i only have a shower what is a nother way with out herting it?

  • a big roasting pan or plastic tub will do it

i'm sure you could even just mist the hell out of it.... you just want his scales to stay soft

  • I have a bearded dragon his name is drake. I wish i could tell if it was a male/female I believe he is only 4 1/2 in or 5.i got him at petsore on 8-13-09!

  • I have a beardie and I think its only 3-4months old. His name is Drake. I wish I knew if he was a boy or girl? But i got him on 8-13-09

  • im dragon eats about 30 35 crickets a day but he still little!!!!!!

  • mine too dasherbug89

  • my dragon loves going into the bath tub then after a while he craps in the tub lol

  • so if u pick them up will they bite??

  • oh how cute :) i had one like that but she died from a chest infection dont know how that happened she had everything money could buy :(

  • except freedom

  • and love

  • and medicine.

  • Mine just died too from what looks like a tumor all within a week. :'(

  • really, sorry im sure your upset hang in there

  • this guy is a little chubby lol my dragon is a skinny boy but eats like hell i buy soo many crickets

  • i wish i had a bearded dragon but my mom hates lizards

  • lol its not swimming. its surviving!

  • gives a new meaning to dogie pattel hahah cool dragon

  • my beardies mistake crickets for rubber bands they attack any thing that moves

  • What a cutie! He seems to be having a lot of fun!

Baths are great for beardies; it helps keep them hydrated and keeps their bones strong.

Professionals recommend that pet beardies get bathed 3x per week, but my beardie loves his baths so much, I bathe him every day. : )
