I am a classical music musician and lover. This Choir is absolutely marvelous. Right from the deep soul.....just like all those wonderful people 100 yrs ago that made those beautiful quilts...pure works of art.....praise the lord for basic country people and their prayers.

I am a younger person, and will NOT go to a church that sings contemperary worship style. I love southern Gospel, and hymns. I do not like bands and "praise chourus" stuff. Just thought I would let Dereck know a lot of young people like southern Gospel.

@judyroks Amen i to am a younger person and even though i am some times drug to a church with that awful music and i dont mind telling one person that i wont be back

wow!!! this is horrible... This is really horrid. The praise and worship here is a major turn off! Sorry to be blunt.

I guess to be blunt right back, your "style" of "praise and worship" might be a "major turn off" to this congregation, but I doubt if any of them would ever insult you with such comments.

Southern Gospel was around long before you were born and long before today's contemporary praise-and-worship music was a notion in any human mind.
Millions of Christians worship God each Sunday through this style of music. If you live in Dallas or OKC, there should be numerous churches where you can experience a greater diversity of musical styles through which our Lord is worshipped.
Numerous churches are successfully reaching teenagers and 20-somethings through Southern Gospel.
