Jim Martin, Billy Gould and Mike Bordin were the coolest parts of that band, to me anyway. FNM just isn't the same without Jim Martin...he was easily the "metal" quotient of the band, along with Bordin.
I saw this them In Philly the same year. After BJM left they were never the same. Mike can't sing like that anymore. Listening to them live now is painful.
I remeber that tour, was also to have "the cult" but Ian and james could not get along so the cult left. I couldnt go cause I was in the navy underway and missed the shows that came to Los Angeles.
Yeah-City Gardens!!! I was dating Glenn Danzig in '89 and the original Danzig played City Gardens, that year!!! Glenn took me out into the crowd on his arm like the wrestlers do with their mistresses/managers - it was flippin cool!! I LOVE THIS SONG.
wow... thanks for posting this! it brings back a lot of memories. this is one of the many shows I saw at city gardens. the venue is long gone (it was razed years ago), but I saw some killer shows there.
god i love faith no more. Mike Patton's voice is amazin. i'm so glad they've decided to reform and perform at download this year, along other bands i admire so much, such as Slipknot and such. God these guys are amazin. Epic is my favourite FNM song. :)
Hola amigos, hay una cancion parecida a esta que termina escuchandoze un piano al final pero es mas o menos de 1996 o 97, lo cual pertenece al genero alternativo (supongo yo) la cancion dice: like the graveness sky's blue, now it on it's just like you, like the only you.
Y al final dice mas o menos: A in't just like, just like, just like you.
Y al ultimo se escucha el piano.
Si algun estadounidense me entiende y ha escuchado esa cancion, le pido de gran favor me ayude a identificarla. Gracias
i saw this show at city gardenswhen i was in high school. they opened for voi vod. i never thought i would be seeing it 20 years later. city gardens closed a few years after this show so you would have to go to philadelphia or new york to see a metal show after that. didn't matter, metal practically died in the early 90's when nirvana/green day music took over.
lp means a full length album & of all the live versions of epic you can find on youtube, this one Mike Patton's vocals sounds the most like the album version of this song
didnt mike use those shorts in the epic video aswell? :)

City Gardens baby!!! Great show, I was 19 and there was not a ton of folks there. We left before the Blue Oysters came on.
