good video . . . I'm in for Utley. Who can't figure out that the back of your left hand is in sync with your putter head and using a cut up noodle to illustrate that is pretty goofy.
Thinking about your stroke in either method is WRONG. Just square your club face to aim point take it back as FAR as you FEEL like it and go. A 3fter its straight back and thru a 35 footer you will have some arc. Do not a pick a method. Feel the pace and go. AIM & FIRE do not think.
if we're taking votes, add one for utley!! Pelz doesn't know shit. same with Peter Kostis. Watch him analyze swings using the Konica Minolta Bizhub Swingvision. He just utters bullshit.
Pelz's method works if you have a vertical swing plane, and the only way I can get that to happen is to dip my shoulders (instead of rotating around my spine or whatever). I hate dipping my shoulders like that, it feels ridiculous to me.
I'm a big fan of Utley's method. I don't believe you can consistently keep the face square to the target line - you're fighting gravity to do it. Having a heavily face balanced putter like the monza spider helps, but you're still fighting physics to put that way. Just let the damn thing swing.

I have read both Pelze and Stan's book. I am finding that Stan's method is less effort and less manipulation which equals better consistency...

Both very interesting. Horses for courses!

That is a personal opinion..

they both suck. I put with a driwer so i can stand farther away from the ball and i can judge the correct path better.
