So, the guy in the video showed people how to cut a 2-inch by 2-inch piece off a beer can. He cut that into the shape of an "M" and then folded it in a certain way so that it would be thick enough to jimmy down the side of the shackle but not too thick to get stuck. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I believe a soda can will fit your criteria. Aluminum foil won't do it.
