7. When I am fulfilled with what I got from the love of Shams ud-Din-e Tabriz,

I have turned my face like gold (=pale), I said let there me no goldmine except you.

4. Intellect is the hidden king, and sky is like its Royal umbrella,

Crown and throne and umbrella of this king, let there be none without you.

5. I saw Love, serving as a host among lovers,

While enjoying that sight, let our soul have none except you.

6. To dead souls you are like breath of Eissa (Jesus),

The county of Egypt, and Yousef (Joseph) of Canaan let there be none except you.

1. May our pain, in this world, have no cure without you,

Death be without you, and let there be no life without you.

2. Let the chests of lovers be not lighted (sufi terminology) without you,

Our nightingales (moridemolana says bulbul, Farounzafars original says gulban=rosebush) of life may have no smile without you.

3. Listen from faith which says in a loud voice,

to your locks of hair, that let there be no faith without you.

I also thank you for the translation. I like Allenjalali have a difficulty in understanding of these poems but enjoy them immensely by listening to them.

I just finished reading Sara Yalda's book.."The land of the hidden stars" in Italian and as she says..we that are exilied as children have lost sooooooo much of our culture. I just feel itss beauty with out understanding. Best regards
