ok im not a pro i'll admit, but im no noob either. and on the "RPG"s it looks dumb whenever you stop moving the character, they freeze!! you need an "idle" animation that it plays whenever its not doing anything and the put its blend frame up to like 5-10. if i lost any of you im making tutorials on how to make a basic... well maybe not basic blender game so check it out

how do you set up a "walk cycle" AND make it move inside the game engine??? i know how to make a walk cycle animation... I know how to use the logic bricks to make an object move as response to keyboard input... but cant manage to mix them up (misbehavior of the character... ) i see you put a cube (invisble by the way) that somehow... is attached to the player... how do you do that?? can you make a "make your character walk in blender game engine" tutorial?

To make something move with something else just right click the object you want to move with the other object , then hold shift and right click the object that the other object moves with , and then you hold ctrl and p to maker parent.

i thnk he wasnt really asking for how to parent things :) if he knows how to make walking cylcles he obviously knows how to parent :) ... he was asking how to use walking cycles in the game engine

just make an animation of the walking guy and use action in the game, kinda hard to explain

on the last game, how do you make the camera move. I know how to parent it to the car and stuff, but when you turn the car, you were able to see the side of the car. When I make a car game, I can only see the back of the car

You don't need to parent the camera.

Just add an "always sensor" then an "and controller" and then add a "camera actuator"

in the OB: put the name of the object you want to follow.

Put the distance (min max and the height.)

1- download 1 game in my list and save it to your desktop or some where....

2- open blender

3-click on file> open...>

4-click on the blender game you have download

5-click on th game, and press "P" on your keybord

6- now you can play the game ( control on my list )
