  • Hah...I had one pentium 4...now I have the i7 2600 k >=D

  • i have INTEL core 2 Quad 2.33 ghz

  • The Pentium 4 was garbage. Worst architecture ever.

  • I have a p4 3.4ghz ht! It's running skyrim and fallout 3 on low to medium-high graphics smooth with 3gb ram and radeon hd 6670! Yea!

  • i have a pentium 4 ht 2.8 ghz :)

  • @afieqM Mine is 3.0+ >:D

  • why can't i play bf3?

  • Pentium 4 HT Northwood is an oldie but a goldie. On a modern PCIE & DDR2 based motherboard it still rockz for multimedia and websurfing. I must know it I have the 3,4 GHz version running Windows 7 totaly smooth

  • @DildoSurround i have a 2.8ghz on the stock board with 2gb ram and onboard graphics + video and i use it every day :)

  • damn this was so hot back in the old days

  • Hell Yeah!!!!

  • I Have Pentium 4! COOL!:D

  • i have intel pentium D ":)

  • I still have this proccessor.

  • I decided to clean my 8 year old Pentium 4 PC when i saw this. *tears* Y.Y

  • a dual pentium 3 is good for me :)

  • I want it! I want it! Ow wait... I already have it :S

Maybe i should get the i5 2500k for these days :)

  • pentium dual core el mejor¡¡¡¡¡¡¿

  • 10 people are AMD fanboys -.-

  • @Officer94

    Oracle

  • I cant believe I'm still with this retarded computer posting videos on youtube. damn...

  • shit processor. I've used Dell PC's with these, quote: "@3.2ghz" years ago and they were slow as hell. almost as bad as using the old pentium II. P4HT's were supposedly beaten by the AMD Athlon x2 until Intel released their core 2 duo.

  • @3headedHelldog Dell isn't too good of a brand back in it's hay days, blame the costom motherboards for that...

  • @MrTpengineer or maybe up to that point most of us needed the performance of REAL multicore CPU's much more than frequency for using more than 1 application at the same time. seeing as fast multitasking cannot be done on single cores without hyperthreading. sometimes simply having a good OS, having enough RAM and doing maintenance on your 7.200rpm hard drive once a week isn't enough pal.

  • @3headedHelldog Yea but for the time single core processors were pretty fast, My server is a pentium 4 and it works fine for games, it hasn't lagged a bit :) It's only a 478 1.3 ghz non-hyperthreading one which I could use a 2ghz one but eh, oh well.

  • @MrTpengineer yea for games they would be, because games back in the day weren't multithreaded. back then some people were still using win9x systems, that's the platform Doom ran on :)

  • SHIT!! i only have a new pc on autumn or next winter pc will be

    Processor : i5 3.4GhZ or i7

    Ram: 4Gb

Video Card: Geforce GTX 460 1Gb (overclocked)

  • is intel pentium 4 good processor?

  • @NakataLTU are u serious???? its shit!!!!!

  • @NakataLTU don't listen to him it is good.

  • I have this and it cant run fucking minecraft ITS SHITTY AS HELL!

  • @dgreaves94 same m8i m soo pissed off i have tried averythin to solve it but nothing works!!!

  • @dgreaves94 danm dude, i guess thats how crappy they are, i have one myself, but its hdd burned out

  • My Intel Pentium 4 has 2 cores!

  • @zakawer its hyperthreaded.. not 2 cores but 1 core and 2 virtual cores

  • intel pentium 4 is a piece of fag man buy a dual core or i5 or more better this processor is the biggest fail porcessor for eva

  • i got it get a intel i7 extreme thats good enough

  • @monkeymangonewild in norway that costs 1700$

  • they run at like 1.8 GHz haaaaa stock tho

  • They're like: YOUR GAMES WILL BE AWESOME!!11. But they forgot the video card.

  • @LilKrazyBoi23

    Mine does too.

  • @LilKrazyBoi23 Mine still does!

  • @Gamer08ful Same Here!

  • Is this a comercial??!!

  • running a p4 1.6ghz Willamette. it can play san andreas

  • The P4 is old but not crappy, it makes still fun to build P4 based systems. All you need is a new graphic card PCI-E or AGP. For example ATI 4xxx Series, and this earlier systems are running! 1080p Youtube makes no problems.

3,2 Ghz Pentium 4 Northwood (Prescotts are slower and hotter)

    ATI Radeon 4650 AGP. ^^

  • @DildoSurround

Why would you build one though?

Building PCs can be fun yes, and older ones can still be ok for a lot of stuff, but still.

  • who needs a single core processor when we can have a 6 core processor! go intel!

  • my pc is pentium 4 2.4ghz and is running windows 7

    long life pentium 4!!!

  • Yes, my pc is..

  • i love intel

  • 今もPen4でわるかったな

  • lol, incredible realistic games... This ads really shows how technology goes fast. Ten years back the Pentium 4 was the master. Ten years later, you are shy to own it :) Core i7 Xtreme time now, lets see how its successor will blow its "low" performances away. :)

  • This was VERY late 90s early 00s :P

Orange and blue, background audio, cheesy 3d effects, pictures overlapped with a lot going on... people wanted "digital" cameras.

I'd say this was from 2001-2004.

  • @sonic3243

are you kidding? pentium 4 is from 2004...

  • @pufixas Pentium 4 was made until 2008, and I know the Pentium 4 was also made before 2004.

    Pentium > Core

  • @sonic3243

    maybie... :D

  • I AM USING I7 ON MY UBUNTU AND ITS CRAPPY

  • @jonnyattack thats becouse Ubuntu is shit

  • @iron888888 extremely true, now shifted to win 7 and its a fast as a human fart

  • ruling the gaming world ahaha :P

  • Pentium 4's are still good. No need for Dual Cores.

  • @HDVIDEOREVIEWS if u want your computer slow then ok

  • I've got the Pentium 4 Extreme 3,73 GHz (fastest P4 ever). I'm so happy ^^ but I need a new Mainboard to use it Q.Q.

Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 is the best modern Board for this old Man :D

  • i got a p4 3.2 ghz

  • I used my old pentium 4 1.7 ghz(HT)with 512mb ram for more than 8 years now and i never had a problem with it :)

  • Whats the max temp to run the intel pentium 4?Mines between 44c and 60C

  • Too bad, that the HD performance of the pentium 4 sucks so hard. At 1080p, I get less than 1 frame per second. Why?

  • Comment removed

  • @ikilluish

Pentium 4 660 can eat Celeron 440 for breakfast >_>

  • I've compared the two, and they offer equal performance to me.

  • Corei7 >> Core2q > Core2D > Pentium Dual Core >> PentiumD > Pentium 4

  • Pentium 4 HT, Extreme Edition and Pentium D was beaten by Athlon X2..it was Core 2 brand that save the reputation of Intel..

  • So true. But, the Tualatin-based Pentium III was the first reputation saver.

  • @charlesmartel1000

Pentium 4 HT SSE3 beaten Pentium 3 or AMD Athlon (but never the Athlon XP) per clock.

  • @charlesmartel1000 wow. A dual-core processor beat a single-core one. what a suprise *facepalm*

  • @charlesmartel1000 Yea right.

  • @charlesmartel1000 I would say it in other way. Pentium 4, Pentium D and Pentium Extreme Edition were beaten by PowerPC G3,G4 and G5, AMD AthlonXP, AMD Athlon64 and AMD Athlon64 X2.

Now Intel's rep is at jeopardy again, with a lot of sockets for the CoreiX series that confuse the public, even higher price points for just better math processing, and ARM on the horizon ruling the portable and low-end world Intel's best-selling at.

  • @charlesmartel1000 There are 1,000x more pentium 4 pc's. The I7's saved intel from dying out after windows vista + core 2 failed.

  • @888bobdaduck core 2 duo failed?

  • @charlesmartel1000 HT unfortunateley almost killed all of the AMD stuff.

  • Pentium 4 was the worst of what was happening. Motorolla (old Mac Power PC), IBM and AMD, with the Athlons were all better.

  • What the hell are u talking about?? Pentium 4 is one of the best processors ive had, it lasted way more than what it was suppose too...

  • What, I have to understand now so it e.g the 80-486 Intel DX is better as P4, i7 and Phenom2 is bader than P4 :'( ?

  • At jeahr 2000 Athlon Tunderbird was the best x86 CPU on market and the successor Athlon XP Were incredibly fast and cheap, but this time, no one would have to be true that AMD was good.

It is regrettable that this K7 Mainboard and Chpsets were only a few were good, the others were poorly developed and had driver problems which were later corrected.

  • Bottom line was the P4 a step backwards, nothing else.

  • Puke CPU

  • boo get power mac g3 it just burns it out.

  • I love the Pentium 4 xD

A old processor, but a good processador.

One of the betters processors what intel was made.

  • i have Pentium 4 @ 3.86Ghz (withow OC), HT, EM64T...

    Fantastick

  • I have a bunch of computers, with both Intel and AMD processors, and by far, Intel is the best. Now, the Pentium 4 is an excellent processor, but if you could afford something better, then why not get a Core i7 quad-core? The Pentium 4 is only a single-core. Still, it is one of the fastest processors available.

  • @W16isrock not really AMD has the best single core processor my old computer had AMD Sempron 3.2GHz now i have Intel Pentium E5400 Dual core.

  • The Pentium 4 is still probably the best budget CPU there is. I've got one with the 3.0GHz clock and it'll play Crysis at full settings no problem.

  • ok pentium 4 is overheating,THEN BUY A NEW HEATSINK AND BUY SOME CASE FANS.but pentium 4 is great for people who does basic work but dont use vista with it.just use windows xp media center or pro with it

  • Any P4 with HT is a good chip for day-2-day use. Jesus, can you belive I'm a power user and still useing a Pentium 4 631?

2MB cache, with 65nm's. Its fucking great. Even plays CoD4 with the 8600GTS medium-high.

  • I love pentium 4 but why ram is expensive DDR1 I wish it be cheaper.

  • If your CPU is LGA775, then buy a basic DDR2 motherboard, for around $20 and buy 2GB of DDR2 ram for another $20. Then you have the latest motherboard + ram combo, and faster ram.

For the same price of 1 single DDR ram.

  • I don't understand why people have so much heat on Pentium 4.

Pentium 4 is still a good CPU for todays standards of programing like Photoshop etc etc.

It even plays games well (erm... I ment very well coded/ported games, like CoD4 uposed to GTA IV.)

I was playing CoD4 with my 8600GTS (256MB/DDR3) on Medium settings getting 50FPS. Far Cry 2 also gave me on average 40FPS on medium.

It's all down the the chip you have. I have one with a 2MB cache thats on 65nm.

    Most P4's have 1MB - 90nm's.

  • Okay I will run photoshop cs4 on my core 2 quad or my phenom x4 lesse your p4 keep up wiht its one core and 1 meg of cache.

  • Read the post before replying. I hate trollers like you.

Firstly it has a 2MB cache, secondly, who the hell was comparing it to a Quad Core CPU?... Are you fucking insane?

The only difference in Photoshop, would be the start up time, on a P4 it will load 5-6 seconds longer. That's about it, editing wise there will be no difference between the two. All it needs is 2GB of ram, and a decent CPU.

Stop trolling. I have a Q6600, but this video is about Pentium 4, so I posted my P4 specs asshole.

  • i have a pentium 2.

  • PENTIUM 4 IS BEAST

    2.80GHZ !!!!

  • Pentium 4??? wow

    It´s time cave!!!!!!

    I have Core i7

  • i have a intel pentium 4

  • How many cores does it have

  • Its a single core processor.

  • 1 with crappy ass Hyper Threading

  • wow. whats funny is i'm still using a computer using a pentium 4.

  • Intel Pentium 4 rocks!!!!!

  • SPARC RULES!

  • I Needed This Graphic Card For My Laptop For Play Sims 3 Good Graphics :(

  • its not a graphic card. its a CPU

  • Incredibly realistic games on a pentium 4 my ass (yes, i am aware Pentium4 is old)

  • well it was at the time. If you knew it was old why did you bother putting the comment?

  • @dfpcmaia Actually, it's not "my ass". You can play Modern Warfare 2 with it, probably even highest but you need a good graphics card.

  • @FRURMELLL uhm.. no you can't. I kind of have a hate towards pentium 4 cause i had mine for a very long time before upgrading. And I played games like crysis and ut3 and stuff with it. And it was not good. Not good at all.

  • 2:14

"Is this center of your digital world?

    My answer:

    NO.

    xD

    AMD rocks!

  • Also, I hate Macs, so I don't even know why you're bringing that into the argument.

  • And LOL at you comparing a Cell Processor to a Celeron. Look, you idiot, all you need to do is look at Folding@home to know the power of the Cell Processor. This is a processor used in Supercomputers. It delivers more than 1TFLOP of performance. The Cell is superior to any processor out, including the Intel Core i7. The Cell Processor has 8 SPEs, and each contains one processor core. By comparison, the Core i7 has only 4 processor cores. Do some research, look at the facts, and STFU.

  • LOL, I remember this time. AMD was shitting all over Intel with their new AMD Athlon 64 processors; then the boom came when AMD released the first Dual-Core processor to the consumer market. Good Ol' Days.

Netburst sucked, and Intel knew it. So they dropped the atomic bomb that was the Intel Core Duo and gained most of the market again. AMD is back now with the Phenom II, though. This is gonna get interesting.

  • And also dont forget Intel has a Core i7 too.

  • this is dual core right? so i can replace intel core 2 duo with this?

  • @CinematicCompany NOOOO! Pentium 4 is single core and core 2 duo is dual core! Don't even think of replacing it!

  • It might be considered dual core because of hyperthreading. Hypertreading gives you two threads on one core other wise appearing as a dual core in your os.

  • r all Intel Pentium 4 duel cores???? please i want to no im thinking bout getting a Intel Pentium duel core PC

  • Pentium IV is NOT dual core. Pentium IV and Pentium Dual Core are totally different. They don't even make PCs with Intel Pentium IVs anymore.

  • my cousin has intel Pentium 4 and his is duel core

  • 1: The word you mean is "dual". 2: Pentium IVs are NOT dual core! Around the time that the Pentium IV was released, the dual core Pentium D and Pentium Extreme were released. These were not Pentium IV, but these 2 WERE dual core. Unless he somehow added a core himself or had the processor custom built, his Pentium IV is not a dual core processor.

  • but i saw the word dual core when i checking thought :(

  • Then it wasn't a Pentium IV.

  • He probably meant dual cpu. Like two on the same motherboard.

  • Maybe.

  • Did you mean dual CPU? There are some motherboards that can use two CPUs.

  • still providing for oem purpose in some country like india, china and middle east. not in retail that's for sure. since core 2/ pentium dc are still too costly to them. not to mention core i7/xeon/itanium =.=

  • Well they stopped making Pentium IVs last year so I thought they didn't make PC/Workstations/Business computers with them.

  • intel did announce to shutdown its production line of netburst. but also it doesn't mean they did not license it in worldwise. and plus there are many of copy cat version in china.

indian's $10 pc was made of celeron 1.7/2.0ghz with 64/128mb ram. which it was announce in late 2007 and it is coming up in q4 2009 or q2 2010.

even thought it is shit in our standard but to them it is gold....(especially eastern europe and middle east)

  • I'm running a pentium 4 at 2.80ghz works great. :) I have 1gig of RDram. RDram was expensive and still is expensive. :/ Is the reason why I only have 1gig of it. :(

  • wooo i have pentium 4 3ghz 2.5gb DDR2 ram

  • 1gb ddr2 costs 15 euro

  • Same here also. But it's a 2.6 GHZ Pentium 4. It's crazy how much rdram costs. A set of two 512mb costs over $100. I'll stick with the 4 256mb ones.

  • my pentium e5300 + ddr2-667 would pwn ur pentium 4 2.6ghz + 256 rdram

  • Wanna trade?

    XD

  • nah i'll stick with it :D

  • @mikeycomputer dont trade a Pentium 4 clocked at 3.20ghz in the lga775 socket with HT+2Mb of cache would pwn hanrinch e5300 easy

  • @TURBORAPIST2 You know how long ago that was? It was about 8 MONTHS AGO! I now have the rare 3.4GHz Northwood (SL793) Pentium 4 processor, which was inside a Dell Dimension 8300 I got for free. I'm using it to play Garry's Mod.

  • @TURBORAPIST2 NO. E5300 is so much better than the pentium 4. E5300 is a dual core. Pentium 4 is single core! Pentium 4 has netburst, E5300 has CORE architecture. Netburst sucks and core is the newest technology.

  • @FRURMELLL no Pentium 4 also have 2 cores and there are pentium 4 with only single core Pentium 4 HT has 2 cores you can look at it in the task manager in performance tab you can see you have 2 threads and you can look at it in device manager you also have 2 threads Pentium 4 Ht is the best for gaming like Crysis And red Alert 3 maybe others have single core pentium 4 thats why they say its bad for games like cryrsis i have pentium 4 and crysis works smooth on mine

  • @735darwin pentium 4 ht had 2 virtual cores. the only pentium with two physical cores was the pentium d (correct me if im wrong)

  • @735darwin pentium 4 doesn't have two cores. What you're thinking about is hyper-threading. It pretty much simulates two cores but it only has one. The new Core i7 only has four cores but in the task manager there are eight threads. Why? Hyper-threading. Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad CPUs don't have that feature though.

  • @hanrinch my q8300 +DDR2-800Mhz 4Gbs+Nvidia 9800GT 1Gb GDDR3 Vram+ Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit would Pwn ur E5300

  • well q8300 is just 2 of e2180 that pack together.....which individual e2180 will be raped by e5200/5300. not to mention the scaling issue and performance suffer by the single application performance. although my new e8400 will eat your q8300 for breakfast with gtx 260(graphic) + gts 250/9800gt(physx) + 12gb quad channel so stop embarrassing your self :)

  • I'm running a pentium 4 at 2.80Ghz, works great :) I have 1gig of RDram PC800. I would get another gig, but RDram is too expensive still. :(

  • Well it was good i still have it and its good enough for a game of counter-strike source

  • I never had a Pentium 4. I had an Athlon XP 2800, then an Athlon 64 3400 during that time. I do have a Core 2 Duo E6750 now, and it friggin owns!

  • LOL realistic games AHAHHAHAHAH, OMG, and WIndows media Player 6. Today we look to the past i we can laught a lot, with this hi-tech stuff XD, my PDA now have more power than most PC's at that time.

You can remember the expression when we hear about a PIV? WOOOOOOW, LOL, i got one at 2ghz, and i has the king in the village XD, with a Geforce 3 :P

    Good Times...

  • You mean Media Player 9?

Actually I still use WMP9 xD

  • LOL ya its true is 9 LOL, my mistake XD the 6 have classic looks AHAHAH, i'm talking but in my Pentium 4 desktop i have that too HAHAHAHAHAH

  • a 20-pipeline stage long cpu... and I was suckered in to buy this POS.

nevertheless, the long pipeline stage actually had one 'benefit': HyperThreading (aka. a P4 single core transformed into a virtual dual core CPU...)

  • Pentium 4 is a 44-pipeline Stage CPU. 20 is like Core 2 Duo

  • 44 pipeline stage would be overkill. Intel only did it at 20 for the early P4's. Later P4's would have been increased to the neighborhood of 25. C2D was slashed down to 16, where Yonah was slashed down to 14 due to heat issues

  • i need a fan to my intel pentium 4 3,20 ghz

and shold i use zalman? but i dont found 1 thas fit can i get help :O

  • i have pentium 4 cpu 2 40 ghz 512mb ram

and it works great for music, video, games, not that I'm a big gamer.

I'm just wondering how can I find out about the graphics cards and drivers for when I have to upgrade to vista or windows 7.

Does anyone now of a place that can help rate the specs of my computer.

  • omg that is a bad advertising

  • Not really, but the voice is annoying

  • pentuim 4 now suks

and i have it and it suks!

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • sorry

    its not 9300 gs

its 9400 gt 1gb with dx10 and pixel shader 4 overclocked

    lol at 6200 gay

  • 9800 gtx+ and 6200.

    9400...

  • the great old days .. i now still gave pentuim 4 3.0 GhZ .. but my father using it now ... i now Currently from intel -> AMD athlon 3.0 GhZ ... LOL because i dun have the money to buy INTEL ~!!

  • Good choice, I prefer AMD, better bang for the buck and are the best processors for heavy duty gaming on a budget. The Athlon 64 X2 is the best processor in its class and is superior in almost every respect to whatever Intel has in that price range. In my opinion you did yourself a favor and saved money. You wont regret it.

  • haha~! i now still perfer AMD better then intel ... but i now thinking of getting AMD pheamon X2 3.0 Ghz .. xD it i am rich ...

  • I'm running a pentium 4 at 2.80ghz works great :) Some guy in a chat room is gonna send me two sticks of RDRAM. Each 1gig of RDRAM PC800 ecc ram by mail, Woohoo! :) He said he was gonna trash it. I said Wait I'll take it. He's obvious rich b/c RDRAM was expensive and still is expensive... :/
