  • I like how you compared the cottonmouth and water snake. Good edit.

  • i found one that i measured over 8 feet long he was basking on the road

  • You should probably have explained early in the video that it's not venomous. That makes everything else seem less bizarre.

    Good video though.

  • It looked weird when you jumped across and grabbed the snake, it wasn't like : Jump Creek->Grab Snake. It was more like : Jump Creek Grab Snake. It looked weird.

  • You seem to be in a park... I wonder if it wasn't aggressive because a hundred other people had caught it before and it was expecting you to try to feed it some Doritos like other tourists, and if you did then it was going to report you to the park rangers for abusing the wildlife?

  • @PickedUpAndThrown Nope, no tourists, no park

  • that was cool how you jumped across and just grabbed it. nice video.

  • 3:08 it looks like a duck

u should do an adventure about a reptile other than a snake, such as a gila monster or green anole. well on second thought, green anole would be boring lol

  • @TitWarlord I try man, I record a video of anything I've never videod before, and it just so happens that snakes are more common than anything else.

  • would you have jumped like that to catch a water moccasin?

  • I've caught a few Water Snakes before and they can nasty little rascals.

  • ahahahaha nigga fell ...

  • Wow i normally think that the term "epic" is really nerdy ... but dude ... the way you caught that snake was truly epic.

    Great vid 5/5

  • Haha thank you man.

  • That was amazing how you jumped across the creek and grabbed the snake with precision. Question, why do snakes like to hang around tree trunks? Most of the time I see a snake, the snake is lying next to a tree trunk. Keep up the good work, you know your stuff thats forsure

  • I dont know, they must feel safe having their body in contact with an object

  • Do you ever take home snakes that you find?

  • Nope, unless they are near my house and it's something new and I dont have my camera. I'll take it home to get my camera, but release it afterwards.

  • Nice!! always a good challenge to catch water snakes.

  • Indeed!

  • Help!!! Brandon, my corn snake is hiding in my computer chair. There is a tiny crawl space under the seat. How can I get her out???

  • Hope you found it

  • dude! thats so cool where can you find them??

  • Rivers, creeks, etc, they are found only in the southeast though

  • I liked the mug shot close to the end. 5 stars!

  • whats that

  • i found one like that up north but he bite the shit outta me lol

  • Probably a northern. Brown reach their northern limit in the carolinas.

  • dang It I wanted to rate it 5 stars!

  • surprised it didn't bite. cool close up vid shots at the end.

  • Me to, thanks

  • Nice video

    Good find

  • Thanks Man

  • Great video man . I like that jump and grab .

  • You liked that? Thanks man

  • Beautiful snake! You can tell its late october just by his disposition, alot of snakes i find this time of yr are sluggish compared to during the summer. Getting ready for there winter nap i assume. Awesome find!

  • Indeed, everything even the rate of me finding snakes has slowed down significantly

  • Great vid!

  • Thankss

  • That jump-capture was awesome! How many Nerodia species are there near your house? Seems like a lot. Cool vid.

  • Hey Joe, there are 5 species. Northern Water Snake Banded Water Snake Brown Water Snake Carolina Water Snake Red-belly Water Snake If you count the Regina group, Glossy Crayfish Snake And if you count Seminatrix Carolina Swamp Snake And if you count the Francia's, Eastern Mud Snake Rainbow Snake
  • Great Video !

  • Thanks John

  • Nice catch, it was all in one motion. I wouldve hesitated because of it biting me.

  • Loved the action part brandon! cool nerodia. never seen one that dossile!

  • Very cool snake man man, nice jump and catch.

  • Great catch, and very informative video!

  • Thanks man, I appreicate it

  • The high up eyes give it a very different look, cool stuff Brandon. Ratings disabled ?

  • Yep. people decided to abuse the privlage so I took it off. I think the whole "rating" thing is bull anyways. Those eyes certainly do give it a different look.

  • Consider yourself five starred anyway. I think the stars help with your position in the search results, but you could always 5 star it yourself with a couple of sockpuppets and then disable it if that was something you were bothered with.

  • Consider yourself 5-starred by me as well. Excellent finds, as always. :)

  • It has such innocent looking eyes. Beautiful =)

  • It had a inocent attitude as well, never seen a nerodia that docile

  • great vid! do u ever herp in WI? also do you have any snakes for pets?

  • No I havnt, I do, 3 western hogs and blood python

  • nice find. at 3:08 it lookoed like a cartoony long-necked dinosaur

  • Haha it did sort of, they are kinda cute.

  • Great job!

  • Thanks!
