Can I ask how is mystic woods available on the Psion? I mean is it built in or do you need to buy a separate cartridge for it? Only I've never seen the cart come up for sale on eBay etc.
I bought one of those Psion Series 3 jobbies. A crappy 3a 256k model. Cost a fortune and was pretty much useless. What a waste of money that was. Ah the 90's... what fun.
lol - sorry, i didnt mean for it to sound like i was disputing that ;)
just that the OPL/OPA stuff is handy for those of us who would like to know how the game/code structure works, in case anyone should wish to port it to a more common system :)
Although i owned my Psion back when they were new (!) around 1997 i think, i bought this in 1999/2000 whilst at university in London when i stumbled across it in a dodgy looking computer shop.
i made sure to keep it safe, although i havent managed to make it work on emulation tho!

An unofficial Speccy port has finally come out ! Have a look on the forums at World of Spectrum to download it (its free)
Plays very well, a great conversion. The programmer worked closely with the guy who created the original Psion game.

"...pretty much useless..." - a PSION Series 3a ??? I think YOU were useless for the Series 3a... :D :D :D

I said 'to use asm' not that it was totally coded in asm.
The detection code and sprite code was in asm.

One thing I will add is that it was also written in 2 weeks and was the only game on the psion to use ASM. Well, I just had to pipe up there :)
It was a game I did enjoy coding. Even if it was a bit - 'rushed'

it clearly wasnt 100% asm though, there are OPL/OPA files in there!
it's a shame the game locks up on the (only) Psion Emulator :(

"The psion 3 series has power of a desktop computer of 5 years ago!!" - so... that was like... 1990 powerful?

For their time they were very good, obviously have aged like anything but back then they were superb.
