Thanks for answering, I'll have to go back into your site and pick out the queries and email you. I'm viewing you from England and right now it's after 2 am so too late to look up the stuff I want to discuss. Will email in couple of days time. Thanks again.
@InspiredByMichelle Have a great time, don't get lost in the crowds!! I was going to go as well but the thought of all the hoards puts me off. It would have been nice to meet you, may be it's not a good time to bother you with my queries.
Hi Michelle, I've been viewing your web site for a long time and have emailed you several times but you never reply. Have you changed your email details? There are a few questions about your cakes I would like to ask.
@madeitwithlove sorry you have not had a reply Ido try and answer them all but some days I just run out of time. Maybe they have gone to spam. What questions did you have? Bye for now, Michelle
Hi again Michelle. On the Gloria Jeans Coffee birthday cake, was wondering how you got the picture of the baby onto the cake. Is it a print-out glued to a fondant piece? Thanks.
hi,michelle my mom here does cakes also and she does flowers out of icing but im wondering if you have any more videos on elaborate flowers that are made out of icing as well, thanks
@NailBySavy The blocks are made of fondant. I have a video tutorial on how to make them just look for my other videos under InspiredByMichelle on YouTube
@lindalu47 I use a number 1 tube and royal icing. I pipe the way I write which is why it is always changing!! Thank you for watching. Bye for now, Michelle
Ah! So pretty. I'm inspired, sure, but I lack the skill. The squeezy tubes I buy from Giant are too difficult for me to control! : ) But thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
Hi Michelle, all my respect! So nice, clean and beautiful work. I love it. I wanna take one of your cake to mexico, do you think thats posible? it's about 5 hrs air time. Let me know please!
@AlyciaShawana What type of fondant do you use? ...Beautful Cakes, I'm thinking about starting to make cakes as well.
Hi Alycia, I use a brand of ready to roll icing by BAKELS called PETTINICE RTR ICING readily available in Australia. I buy it in 7kg boxes but they have recently bought it out in 1kg portions. If you are in Aust then your local cake decorating centre will have this. You can also buy smaller packets of a similar icing in your local supermarket in the sugar aisle ORCHARD brand.
at 1:17 the cake appears to have some sort of jewelery on it. Is that what it is? and how did you get it to stick? Was it pressed in, or formed with wire?
Hi thanks for looking at my cakes and the answer is that I have used a black diamante strand which you buy by the meter. It is held in place with black royal icing.
I use white floral wires that have their end taped with white floral tape to cover the metal ends. The thickness of the wire depends on the weight of the cake topper details. Thanks for asking. Bye for now, Michelle
I want my 24th B day to cake! I love these cakes! February 29th is my day wow LEAP YEAR BABY LMAO!
